TRYING TO BEAT THE SLICE RECORD AT GORDON RAMSAY'S BOTTOMLESS PIZZA RESTAURANT! | BeardMeatsFood

2023 ж. 16 Қыр.

Today we're at Gordon Ramsay's Street Kitchen, where for £17 you can eat as much pizza as you like for two hours...what's more, they keep score of the record number of slices eaten by a single customer in one sitting, and if you can best it, you get your name atop the leaderboard and some free swag!
Originally, I was under the impression that the record was 18 slices (because that's what it says on the restaurant's website) but upon catching a glimpse of the leaderboard...I soon discovered that the record was actually a much more formidable 38 slices...
I've got a crew with me for today's video, which I know some people don't particularly like, since everything feels a little different, but it's a nice change of pace and more than anything a necessity when filming an episode where the staff members are serving food from start to finish....either way, I hope you enjoy it :)

  • Evening all! Thanks for joining me for another episode. I’m indebted to you all for coming back so often to watch the videos; it really means a lot… I filmed tonight’s with a crew, which I know isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s always a nice change of pace, especially when the staff are serving up food from start to finish. I hope you enjoy it, but either way feel free to let me know down in the old comments section. I hope I’ll see you this time next week when we’ll be trekking through New England in search of gluttonous glory…and free t-shirts. ‘Til then, stay insatiable, lots of love, your old mate BMF ❤️ *Also, for the record, this video is not sponsored. I don’t do sponsored/commissioned content of any kind, just for clarity. For some reason whenever I shoot with a crew, I notice a few comments suggesting I’ve taken a bung or something…I haven’t…I don’t…wrong channel 😆

    @AKarcticmallard@AKarcticmallard8 ай бұрын
    • As an ex-competitive eater, the simple answer to “I’ll never understand how one person can eat so much” is this: The human body is insane. The longer answer is: the human body is absolutely insane. The extremes our bodies can go through and still come out on top is crazy. With proper training, you can eat upwards of 7lbs+ of food. Those pizzas probably massed somewhere between 4-5lbs, maybe more because of the heavier toppings on the layer pizzas. They earlier pizzas looked rather light, which definitely helped. The best way to go about that challenge would go for you to just order the lightest pizza, which looked like the margarita. Just cheese and tomatoes. The more toppings, the more mass, the less you’ll be able to eat. Also, keeping the fluid intake low at the start really helps. Steady hydration will help keep your throat lubricated and soften up and distribute the food in the stomach. Drinking too much will bog you, drinking too little will make it harder to swallow larger amounts of the food. Hopefully this jumbled mess of information helps!

    • @@kaeji_namitsua it was a hobby. Won a few gift cards and cash, but nothing more than $250 (gift card, one time) but usually $50 to $100 for first place finishes. I was enamored by competitive eating, even more so with food challenges and I always had nearly an insatiable appetite. It started at the local fair with a pie eating contest. I won first with 3 full sized pumpkin pies and a few bites into the next in 10 minutes, close second was 2.5-2.75 pies. After that I fell in love. Did it for 4 years or so, maybe a dozen and a half comps. But I also loved food challenges. So I would take on any challenge I came across. Ate 40 wings of increasing heat at a local sports bar, that one was fun. Fun stuff, but to be completely honest, I never considered health. I was 15 when I did the pie eating contest, and went until I was 19 or so. Never thought about health consequences. I’d just swallow pounds of grapes whole to expand my stomach, but that’s the most I got into it. I was young and dumb and really, really hungry. Lmao

Today we're at Gordon Ramsay's Street Kitchen, where for £17 you can eat as much pizza as you like for two hours...what's more, they keep score of the record number of slices eaten by a single customer in one sitting, and if you can best it, you get your name atop the leaderboard and some free swag!

I waited until she was completely done and then proceeded to ask her what she thought the gravy was made of.
