I honestly love how friendly and supportive all of the staff and customers have been on the past few episodes, so nice to see.
They know, that if Beard likes the place and the food, that's a priceless commercial. At least 3,94 million people now know this place exists and the food is good. Can't be bad for business.

Even forgetting the actual competitive eating element of this channel for a minute, the editing, commentary, interactions, humour, music choices, drone shots, and all round cinematography makes this my absolute favourite channel. Class from Beard every time. Oh and let's not forget he doesn't even allow mid-video ads! What a guy!

I’ve realized that I don’t even watch for the challenge aspect of these videos, I just like seeing someone genuinely enjoying good food in friendly environments.
Man, you can tell the staff loves their job. They were all so friendly and wanted to be involved with your challenge. Checking to see how you liked certain items. They respect their workplace. That's a great work environment. And you involving them in the challenge by asking questions and such. Just a wholesome video.
there's a reason why people are personable with this man... because he built his business that way. kindness, respect, and friendliness for the win.

I’m from South Carolina. It makes me proud that you made a point to say how friendly everyone is, and also how good the food is. I’ve been watching your channel for a while and saying that’s the best BBQ you’ve had is high praise.
take pride my friend, i love seeing these one's where the staff (or other patrons) are friendly, really goes to show humanity has more good ones and a few bad apples shouldn't sour opinions.
Your videos have been a break from the torture of being in hospital with my little girl. She has had 2 operations, and the waiting is terrible. Watching you eating and everybody being nice and polite has been a release. Keep up the good work Adam.

My wife and I went to this place on Saturday. The brisket was one of the best things I'd ever tasted, until I had that Soul Roll. It blew my mind. Both us and the couple behind us said that they heard of this place from your video. Keep it up man. I'm a big fan

This was the best and cheapest advertising Smitty's will ever receive. I can't believe you ate the giant Lobster roll just the day before. Id swear one would need three days before going on to the next gurgitating challenge. Another successful sortie into the states. Bravo Beard'o.
I don't know how he could do it without a good purging session the night before. That roll was insane. I feel dead for a couple days after a half lobster to myself.

to be honest, your videos are like a breathe of fresh air. It's like visiting your friends' restaurants and enjoying the food, forgetting the competitive side of eating. The staffs are just like your friends. And of course getting freebies like shirts, hoodies and gift cards.
I am a teacher and pastor in Kentucky. I Love Sundays for church and then rushing home to watch Beardmeatsfood CRUSH a food challenge, literally love Sundays!

I've just shouted "yes" at the "can you eat mustard with mac and cheese question. Mustard and cheese are a match made in heaven.
FYI Beard, courgette is what the Brits call zucchini. Okra is the seed pod of the Abelmoschus esculentus plant, zucchini/courgette is the fruit of the Cucurbita pepo plant. They have similar textures, but okra is usually slimy in comparison, at least when it's not battered and deep fried.
I don’t believe anything I read in the KZhead comments, but this is either world class BS or 100% accurate.
It's accurate. Not even related to courgette. But it is delicious!!! Deep fried or in gumbo, or pickled, or just plain buttered. So so good.
If you've never had okra, you are either missing out or you aren't.
FYI, unless this is a whoosh, Brits call a courgette a courgette…….

I love to see when people recognize Beard coming to do the challenges and are super nice about it. It's really cool. And that BBQ did look amazing. Makes me wish I could try it for sure.
This is my favorite video now. Everyone is so friendly. Plus they even asked if you wanted desert. Plus they didn't over do the challenge like they do sometimes.
Adam seems like the kind of guy to go for the "free meal", smash the record, still pay, tip big (even though tipping culture is foreign to him), leave behind the gift card and just be happy with a new shirt and a full belly. We love you, Beard!

Yep he said on his podcast that he always pays for the meal regardless. I imagine he also tips well, especially in America where it's part of the culture.

Adam, glad that you got to experience what we call here in the states "Southern Hospitality". That's why people are so friendly and polite. Something southerners pride themselves on, and they do it very well.

Opening drone shot is actually Gaffney, SC which is about an 45min from Easley, SC. I was born and raised in Gaffney, SC and now live in Easley, SC. Smittys is a great spot!
After living in SC for awhile, you sometimes forget how friendly everyone really is. A visit to New Jersey usually takes care of that. 🤣
Truth! I'm a born and raised NYer and have lived in SC for 18 years. Wish I moved sooner as everything Beard experienced is what I love about living here. Just wish I knew he was in town as the Greenville area is where I consider home.

@@BD.647 I can’t work atm because my visa is still processing (the process is quicker doing it in Canada), I’m 26. I’m in a incredibly fortunate position where my girlfriend is Canadian and her and her family sponsored me to come over and live here!

Adam's personality and banter with the staff in most of his videos is primarily the reason I find him and "BeardNeatsFood" my favorite food challenge channel. No braggadocios "Going for overall win number etc. etc. and no shoving virtually every different thing into the camera lens before he eats it! Just a real enjoyable experience, making everyone he meets glad to have had the chance.

I view these videos more as travelogues than I do "eating videos". He doesn't take himself too seriously and almost always just seems to be enjoying the experience of meeting new people and trying new things. And yes, from a technical perspective, these are well-shot and nicely edited. I always enjoy the drone footage giving an overview of the area.
@@shrider1805 I can take Katina somewhat, but not Randy at all. I love watching Beard for that very reason. No entourage. Just him and his camera and the voice overs are the best part of his videos.

FYI Courgettes are the same as zucchinis. Fried zucchini is pretty popular across the US, though Okra is mostly prevalent in the south east

When you start eating with your eyes closed as if you are drunk, even though you are not, then you know the food is amazing

There are many things I enjoy about watching these eating challenges, but I think I enjoy your personal interactions with the workers and patrons. You are genuinely friendly and funny which brings out the best in people.

Just wondering, what do you do with the gift cards you get ? Do you leave it behind the counter to pay for someone else's food or do you keep it as a souvenir? Love the channel.

@@Drummer1000George I've heard from interviews with other KZhead eaters that many leave a huge tip equal to or a little more then the price of the meal. That way the restaurant can basically break even.
I’m not huge on BBQ, but when it’s good….its GOOD! You know a place is confident in their meat when they’re giving people samples. Safe travels Adam!
Nah. It could also mean that their meat is expired and they need to get rid of it before it starts to stink too much.
@@samuraidoggy I live in Easley and know the people that own Smitty's. You can rest assured they are, in a good way, cocky about how good their food is. These are quality people serving the best bbq in the world and they know it. Just a great restaurant. I did lol at the spoiled comment though haha

The staff at that restaurant seem friendly and cool, the food also looks incredibly delicious... without a sweat, as soon as I can, I'll give them a visit with my family.

Courgette, for those wondering, is what we in the States tend to call zucchini, or summer squash. It is not related to okra, but they are somewhat texturally similar when deep fried.
That staff is amazing with how helpful and friendly they are and excited to watch BMF eat. When BMF really likes the food speaks volumes about the quality. That chow looked great. Great advertising for Smitty's from staff to food!

Yes I have eaten there on several occassions the beef brisket and beef ribs or cooked to perfection and their wings are the best around❤❤

We're less than 2 hours away from there now and would have loved to have seen you at Smitty's........which by the way was not open for business when we moved. I hate to say this as an Englishman but the customer service in America is, in the vast majority of places I have been, absolutely amazing! They seem to care a lot more than anywhere else. It may be because they rely on tips to top up their wages in many states but in my vast experience of America the customer service is just superb.
Glad to see you really liked this one. I watched your 3 year old BARE Grills bbq video recently and that place gave you a ton of starch and bread and it didn’t seem like you enjoyed it nearly as much as this one. Not to mention the staff here were great too. Awesome job mate!
That looked like one of the most difficult challenges I've ever seen you try and you still smashed it! I cannot even imagine eating that much in one sitting and it's not just the volume, it's the density, the richness, the oils from the deep frying. "Tis no man, 'tis a remorseless eating machine!"
That was one of the only ones where I was thinking I might be able to eat all that. Especially with how good he said it was.
