    • Wtf how? If you can jump up that high, you can jump back down & probably even from higher especially if you also do/practice/train drops besides vertical jumping and then Ig also technically dropping back down. It’s just that if you jump too high off of something that’s already towards the upper end of your drop range, then you might get hurt, but it obviously wouldn’t happen from flat ground ofc. • All these guys are the ideal that Marv Marinovich built his training philosophy around. Golf, swimming, football, basketball.......no matter the sport, the best players are always (well, ALMOST always) the best athletes. There will always be the Tom Bradys, Larry Birds and David Ortiz’s of the world who may not be as athletically gifted, but their sports IQ is off the charts.

    @mozes42@mozes423 жыл бұрын
    • They are athletically gifted, they are just undertrained physically. Just imagine if Larry Bird had hit the weights like LeBron James, did? There are lots of NBA players who are not properly trained and get by on their athletic gifts, like great hand to eye coordination needed for shooting. They are on the team because they can shoot and have the court awareness. But they’re not reaching their full potential, because they are not properly trained to get the maximum out of their body.

Lisa Leslie attempted a dunk in her first wnba game and came up short. She actually made the first dunk in the history of the league about ten years after her first game and they celebrated. So yes, the comment is true as to why people don't watch. It's a lack of athleticism. I've been waiting over 25 years for the athletic gap to close and it hasn't and never will.
