In this video, I will show you how to make a split American hunting bow. Using the most common three-stage structure, upper and lower bow pieces and a bow handle.
The accuracy of the mounting surface of the bow handle is particularly important. It directly affects the life and safety of the bow. It requires the help of some electric tools to complete it, otherwise it is prone to dangers such as twisting.
After the bow hunting, I made a quiver also according to my needs. It's simple and quick, which is very suitable for daily practice shooting.
Thank you for watching my video! Hope you will like it.

      @DFX2KX@DFX2KX2 жыл бұрын

    • Recurve bows (especially take down bows) really don't look like bows when you first start making one, yeah, lol. It requires a lot of planning to get things to line up properly. The approach that threw me for a loop was the rubber hose filled with air. Normally we'd use clamps for that. That shortcut did the same thing and did a good job of keeping pressure uniform. No idea how she came up with that approach, but I'm going to try and remember it.

  • Beautiful work, really, and it's working pretty well as far as I can see. However, talking of the life and safety of the bow, there should be a grove at the end of each branch (where the branch and the string meet) to guide the string so to prevent the string from sliding on the side and twisting the branches.

  • I would not call this a labor of love, for that is a misnomer. If you create something, anything and you love doing that, it is not laborious. It is a joy. This lady is an artist, a craftsman, a journeyman. (Yes, I know 2 out of 3 ended in the suffix "man") I have no other way to describe her... What an amazing, beautiful bow you have created, all my respect to you and your craft.
