  • I took Japanese in high school because I really liked the culture and the media. I got really into watching Japanese television dramas because they characters were so animated and fun kind of like anime. Was thinking of picking it back up but probably won't use Rosetta Stone, I don't think I'll be able to stick to using it each day it seems a little dry. Great video as always can't wait to see what language learning app you review next!

  • My reason for learning japanese is that I really like watching anime and japanese content creators, but with subtitles for the most part. I usually watch clips of youtubers, where someone has translated them into english. I'd really like watching these videos or series, without needing subtitles

  • Yes, it is written in kana, BUT you can change the written text in romaji, so you can speak out loud, what you read.

  • I'm a visual learner and that aspect of Rosetta Stone is great but the lack of grammar explanation is still a huge hinderance, I end up spending a TON of time doing internet searches on every word to understand how they're being used and the context nuances and everything else.
