Looks like a total blast! We have 3 rivers in the county I live in but they have put up speed limits, no wake zones, etc . I realize why but it ruined my jetting at the river trips. Love the build! It doesn't look like anything much was missed with that build. Keep on ripping it!

Just fill it with water like they use to do at Seekonk Spreedway in M.A. They filled the track with water and raced boats inside the track back in the day.
Those things look like a blast! More fun than the Invaders and skip jacks/hydroplanes we used to run. Would make a nice complement to our Barletta Corsa pontoon boat.
A neat thing about the Kawasaki is that it should have SLO (smart learner operation) mode where it limits the RPM to like 5000 so that new drivers can get used to the ski. You just have to hold mode and it should beep and switch over. Might make for a fun prank :)

Hi from NZ. My first boat was black fibreglass with a dark tinted screen etc. It was called Black Magic. Years later the black Kiwi yacht that was New Zealand's entry in the America's Cup race series was also named Black Magic. Think it would be a good match for your boat. Jet Black would be the obvious choice of names I guess. Cheers

Man y’all really need to bring these up to black creek! The creek is right off the ST Johns river about 10 miles south of Jacksonville. It’s deep water most of the way until you get up in the north prong where we have rapids and shallow water. But there is also a few creeks off black creek to also ride. Also just north is the Ortega river that can be fun at times lol

Be careful going close to shore/detritus etc during floodwaters - you'll often not see fence posts etc, that'll rip your boat (and maybe you) wide open.

Maybe i'm just getting old but you guys should put on life jackets while jumping. Those automatic deploy jackets are between 60-$100 and you can barely tell you're wearing one. A bump on the head, eject, by the time someone can turn around and get you it could be game over(2 or 3 gulps of water is more than enough). Think of it as a race suit.
I'm not even old (and i'm not boring either) but i would definitely have a self inflating life jacket myself.

Agreed. I drove harbor security boats for the Navy for a few years. Even though I grew up swimming competitively, I always wore a jacket and my killswitch lanyard when I was moving. The first week I was there, a guy driving a Boston Whaler checked the boat in making a sharp turn, got thrown from the boat and his boat crashed straight in to another harbor security boat hecause his gunner couldn't get to the helm in time. Anything could happen. Doesn't matter how good you think you are.
@@F14Goose37 I grew up on the Mississippi with boats and jet-skis. I've seen plenty of crashes, heard of plenty of drownings, have made my own mistakes, and had close calls. All it takes is for one person to zig when you thought they were going to zag. If you get knocked out in a body of water without a life jacket chance are the Sherriff's department will be the next to see you when you are snagged with a dredge hook. I hate to be morbid but I'd hate it even more if one of the crew made the news with a "Florida Man" in the title.
Next summer we will be putting up one of our 3 boats for sale, it is honestly super nice, it is a 189 Scr Monterey, We have a swapped engine in it, it is no longer the 4 cylinder, it is a built Chevy V8, pushing about 300 horsepower. We changed the gaskets on it and many new parts. We are going to replace the floorboard, we new wood and put new waterproof carpet in it. She will haul out on the lake we go to, Harrison bay TN, it is a outboard boat so yes, it is a actual engine in it. Paint is White with Orange stripe and Silver flames on the side. We are looking for $10,000. We plan on buying jetskis because not all of our family can go out on the boat.

Racing boats is a whole world away from driving a boat. And racing a boat is even further away from racing a car it is a completely different feel and different "driving rules". Its hard coming from a car racing background because if you drive that boat like a car even for a second your dead. Unconscious + water is very quick death. Definitely never go out alone.

I would have 100% been driving the same way ten to fifteen years ago but you gotta start wearing helmets and vests when you're getting after it through the trees and stuff brother. The cars have cages and you wear safety gear, but if one of those boats just hooks up unexpectedly or something for a split second and you catch a tree wrong it could get very bad bet fast. Like I said I would have and in fact did drive that way with no gear more times then I can remember but that's why I can look back and know I'm lucky to have not killed myself growing up
Especially with wives / significant others and kids... wear those auto-inflate life jackets like the pro-fishermen do and for sure, when ripping like that, wear a helmet. We don't wanna see a video of everyone standing around sullen because someone got seriously hurt or worse. Great to have fun, but live another day to do more.
