  • A propane torch would have made your life much easier on this one. You can just brush the surface with the torch to get rid of bubbles, AND it would have softened the resin so that you had less trouble applying your color. But you probably already know that a year later. ;-) It's a beautiful project. Well done.

  • Another beautiful piece 😎 Forget the vacuum, really a waste of time and money, as most of your bubbles will be coming from the heat of the resin making air exit the timber. To minimise your bubbles, not using a pressure pot (they do make big ones btw), precoat your timbers with a coating resin first and let set. That way any air from the timber will be contained. Air from the resin itself can be removed with a heat gun or a misting spray of metho (you call it spirit?). Cheers

  • Such a beautiful piece. It really looks I guess almost like Asian art where you have the tree and then behind it the yellow going into golden looks like a sunrise or sunset behind it. And then that touch of color from the top it's just awesome. You really have such a great talent, being able to create such beauty and then to donate it for a great cause👍

  • Try a heat gun or a torch to remove bubbles from the epoxy. The torch works better, but may be a bit too much when your project is wrapped in plastic.

  • These wood turning videos are really cool. The only caveat, so much of the wood is wasted as it ends up as saw dust on the floor. Hopefully people at least use it in their compost pile or something else useful.

  • This is a very creative and quit beautiful piece. Perhaps it would be safer if you used a sander with an extended to sand inside of it though. If your arm got caught in that spinning thing it could rip your arm off vary quickly. That would not good at all.
