Hard o describe the beauty you create out of old wood, weeds and resin. Amazing is such an overused word, but what else fits?
Thanks you so much Jim! www.artforour.org/how-you-can-help
What a gorgeous project! And the paint coming off the tree is such a lucky accident. I mean, with the black coming off of it, it looks even more like it's on fire than if you just had a bit of red. Amazing work!
Thank you! That was an interesting experiment... Artforour.org

Thank you so much for your support! Artforour.org
Absolutely beautiful! I would like to see something like this but instead of a clear resin, do it like a sunset.
Thank you! That's been a goal of mine.... tricky to pull off. 😀 www.artforour.org/how-you-can-help
The top looks like it just started on fire. The next one will be when it's in full flame. 👍 I like it.
Thanks Lyle! Up next... the burning bush. 😀
@@artgivinghope I hope it's soon.
A propane torch would have made your life much easier on this one. You can just brush the surface with the torch to get rid of bubbles, AND it would have softened the resin so that you had less trouble applying your color. But you probably already know that a year later. ;-) It's a beautiful project. Well done.
Thanks Marti! Artforour.org
Beautiful piece and a wonderful cause.
Thank you so much! Artforour.org
Wow, that turned out really nice ! As Bob Ross would say " Happy Little Trees ", etc... Your accident made a Happy Learning Curve. It all " Turned Out " in the end. Reminds me of a sun set behind the tree. The light in the interior really makes a statement. :~)

It stands to reason your sand and vibrating table would be in conflict. The sand defuses the action of the Viber. Great work as usual. P.S. I don't see you changing your method of using sand. I'm sure the Viber would work on a project like a river table. Keep em coming. Love your work.
Thanks Larry! I actually put the resin in a bucket alone and the vibration didn't seem to help....
Before I watch the video I go to the end to see the finished product. This one looked to me to be on fire, so when you said that was the original plan I was pumped. You COULD do with more flames, but this looked charred and to the point of burn out. Nice job.
Thank you! Definitely going to attempt this idea again with more flames...
Very nicely done. Thank you for sharing your video.
You bet! Thanks for the support. Artforour.org

Nice work A like it as a lamp for my room.
Agreed! Thank you.
Unfortunately I am from the Netherlands. Otherwise I would have bought it as a lamp. Instead of a vase.
Stunning 🙌
Thank you Mildred! Artforour.org
Another beautiful piece 😎 Forget the vacuum, really a waste of time and money, as most of your bubbles will be coming from the heat of the resin making air exit the timber. To minimise your bubbles, not using a pressure pot (they do make big ones btw), precoat your timbers with a coating resin first and let set. That way any air from the timber will be contained. Air from the resin itself can be removed with a heat gun or a misting spray of metho (you call it spirit?). Cheers
Thank you! Good ideas... Artforour.org
Gorgeous work 💜
Thank you Nyla! Artforour.org
Absolutely amazing! Love the thought of a burning bush also! This shows off your talent and creativity! Bravo!

That is really cool, very unique.

That is kick ass ⚡
Thanks John!! After that, we take names. 😀
Such a beautiful piece. It really looks I guess almost like Asian art where you have the tree and then behind it the yellow going into golden looks like a sunrise or sunset behind it. And then that touch of color from the top it's just awesome. You really have such a great talent, being able to create such beauty and then to donate it for a great cause👍
Thank you Mary! Artforour.org

To color twigs use alcohol ink or fabric dye/water to soak them in your pressure pot, then seal with brushed on thin resin or spray on clear
Thank you for the suggestions! Artforour.org
New comer.... Hihi
Welcome! www.artforour.org/how-you-can-help
Herrlich 👍👏
Thank you!! Artforour.org
Awesome. Have you seen Blacktail studios? He has a method of using a blowtorch to eliminate the bubbles in resin and it produces a really smooth glass like surface.
I'll have to check it out! Artforour.org
Beautiful project as always. Just a suggestion. I noticed you didn't try a heat gun when you were trying to get the bubbles out of the resin. That may have helped
Thanks you and good idea! Artforour.org
Take the wheels off your pressure tank. then bolt/screw it to the wall. The tank will become horizontal and you can slide in and pressurize your tuening...
Good idea! Thanks! Artforour.org
Try a heat gun or a torch to remove bubbles from the epoxy. The torch works better, but may be a bit too much when your project is wrapped in plastic.
Good idea! Thanks for your support... Artforour.org
you are goldman ..or is man with gold hand's....good luck ..

These wood turning videos are really cool. The only caveat, so much of the wood is wasted as it ends up as saw dust on the floor. Hopefully people at least use it in their compost pile or something else useful.

That's amazing!! Thank you! Artforour.org
This is a very creative and quit beautiful piece. Perhaps it would be safer if you used a sander with an extended to sand inside of it though. If your arm got caught in that spinning thing it could rip your arm off vary quickly. That would not good at all.
Thank you Jennie!

Could you put the lilac in the base and set in a metal bowl and dry in the oven at 200 for a few hours to further dry the beanches?
Great ideas! www.artforour.org/currentauctions
This is an awesome piece...I appreciate your work. I was wondering if it is possible to choose a resin that is crystal clear after the turning process. This resin end up being a bit cloudy.
Most of the resin projects I do is clear. This one had a bunch of weird reactions...
