  • Poch should be given a chance, there are glimmers of class. The injury issue is a big one. That needs proper resources to fix. Less bubble wrap more fight.

    • @@judas57650 hmm just an opinion but your analysis of poch might be corrupt.. here’s why, the man has defended the players (who I must say are more to blame for results) especially if you want to bring in price tag. But regardless of that poch has done so much man management, you must’ve realized how he is excelling at protecting in developing these kids, more than the wins obviously, but you can tell he has his hands tied behind his back, and that doesn’t help a manager put out the strongest 11. Also, I can name a bunch of players, but gusto Palmer Gallagher, just to name a few have done bits and it’s because of the Manager. He’s put them in the right position. Told him to do the right thing and it’s showing with serious moments of quality.(moments) don’t discount those moments though because as a futbol player these moments are what we dream of and that’s what creates it over and over.

    • Glimmers of class? That's just the quality of these individual players coming through. As a team we have been fucking shit. Poch has had his chance and failed miserably. The injury problems are a big issue, but Poch has done nothing to resolve them. Why has Enzo been playing basically every week through a fucking hernia? Why have players such as Colwill played out of position and why is it that these are often the players getting injured? How the fuck did he miss the quality of Maatsen who is now closing in on a CL final in a position we were playing a center back in? Why does Mudryk get dropped when he has a good game, but played after he has a bad game? Now everyone thinks he's shit. Why did Sterling get so much game time when he was playing crap. Why do we stick with a midfield three of Enzo, Caicedo and Gallager when all three look ten times better when there are only two of them playing? and that's just off the top of my head. Glimmers of class is just Cole Palmer, nothing to do with Poch...

  • I strongly believe that we could allow Poch a second season, he seems to have great passion for the badge. Would really like to see how what he could achieve with a majority fit squad. I feel the priority should be the ongoing injury issues.

    • A lot will hinge on the annual report that Poch gives to the sporting directors and the board. If it lines up with their observations, then he might get another go. If he seeks to blame others for his coaching mistakes, then he will be out the door.

  • Christ, imagine that first day of Conte training compared to Poch. Full Metal Armani! If Hazard could function well in a Conte team, then Cole Palmer, who actually tracks back and presses as well, will be absolutely fine.

  • I’m honestly an advocate of CONTE coming back. Our present crop of players lacks what Conte can bring within a short period namely; Not conceding goals easily and winning games by a lone goal and hold unto it. Discipline…majority of our present squad lacks discipline especially on the pitch. Conte’s in game management is usually spot on. With the calibre of talents we have, a Conte will mould them to become winners and will practically play the match with them on the sidelines. Within a reasonable period of time , fans will start seeing Conte’s effect with this squad. I’m not if the opinion that these players are too young because you can’t say same of players like Palmer or Gusto whose age are same if not younger than others. Requires a stern personality like Conte to achieve that success.

    @michaelnwode3438@michaelnwode343817 күн бұрын
    • Very short sighted thinking Conte will be great just to not concede. He's great for a short period but is a bit of a one trick pony and would be the anthesis of the so called "project".

  • Here's an assessment, Poch has not had his first 11 proper throughout the whole season, and we're playing good just not putting chances away, if say Jackson had scored some of the ones he missed we'd of won the game and be in 5th right now, so with that said has Poch really been that bad, I get the discipline side but TBF he's done a good job considering all the facts

Plus these players need some tough love , they can’t get away with losing easy matches without facing the consequences. Alteast with conte , there will be some fear in the dressing rooms and it will be the survival sort of fittest which it rightly should be . This is chelsea we are talking about not brigton or Fulham who are just thinking to survive in the league and not expecting to win anytime in next 10 years.

I feel like another season under Poch would solidify the infracstructure to bring this young wonderkids thru. Tyreke George also comes to mind. Obviously not all of them will be able to become regulars but without a good development inclined coach we can miss out on a really good run of success. One more year with Poch. Sell Madueke to cash in since Palmer is in place. Bring Gabriel and Hutchinson to take their place. Move on from Sterling and Mudrik and get an experience LW to solidify the attack and mentor Tyreke George. We also have Nkunku to split time with Nicolas Jackson at striker and LW. If we get a world class Striker and Centerback we would be set. Sell Disasi, Badiashille, Mudrik, Madueke, Sterling, Cuccurella. Sacrify Maatsen to balance the books and bring a LB to provide cover later in the window with next year budget. Keep Poch one more year and assess,

  • I think at this stage, Poch will get another season, this young team still needs the gently gently approach because they are largely young and soft with some delusions of grandeur thrown in. Once Poch has a second season to settle them all into 'the team is family' thing, then you can get the damanding natured coach in to drill them with tactics. Its my opinion that most of these decisions are being made with psychology in mind and molding young talent slowly. Too rough too soon and none will thrive. I also think some of these players wont really kick on until 27ish, a bit like Salah. Good enough to be in and around top teams until they really just come out and blow people away in their prime.

We beat wolves to qualify for the CL, though we did loose the FA cup to Leicester it was also down to a bad refereeing decision, we did win the CL with him in emphatic fashion, his team was made from scraps of past managers and he made them a quality team whose players are now playing for Real Madrid, Barca, Arsenal, City and more teams better than us right now. The myth that we were starting to be bad under Tuchel is something I will never understand I would have bet my house on us finishing in the top 4 if we kept Tuchel and didn’t hire potter

  • So by your logic, Tuchel getting us 4th was mostly down to the squad level, so if thats true, this squad that can only achieve 10th, is a mid table squad and we have downgraded by 6 places and spent 1 billion....lovely!

  • Pochettino should stay for one more season at least. Conte is never a long time option, he wants to win trophies fast and leave. Please fix the injuries problem, and get Pochettino some real player. We will be fine.

  • Oh no. I'd rather have Mourinho back than see Conte again. I don't see Conte doing better than Poch unless he's lucky with the injuries. Our wingbacks would be unstoppable and we'd have the CBs to back them up but we're are far too stacked in midfield to work with only a double pivot and we also have too many wingers to consider a 352. I also think Conte could blow right in our face once he gets rough with the owners. Mourinho would at least have the better CV to back up his antics. Also, and I might be misremembering here, but I think Conte is even less keen on utilizing the academy than Poch seems to be. Just for the sake of the players having some security in their surroundings and letting a manager build on something he himself established, Poch trumps almost every possible replacement candidate. Unless it's Amorim, I want Poch to stay.

  • Sources close to Tuchel claim he disagreed with the club's transfer strategy and targets. He has been proved right. The club's financial valuation will just keep dropping the longer they remain mid-table, German journalists claim he has no interest in going back. He thinks the owners are idiots. Conte will be agitating for a striker and experienced players. Tuchel and Conte are in football to win trophies. God only knows what Clearlake and Boehly are trying to do
