They have the best of everything and HK you need to listen and maybe once you need to cut the bullshitt which Yiu are a master of " We need to improve" " we need to do this etc etc" you lot do nothing. You are so good though you still score but you are part of this crap. You need to run a hundred miles away from this Club.

For Conte, the situation is like a pressure cooker and all it takes is the pathetic sight of Eric Dier pretending to be a defender for it to become too much to bear. • Its not a meltdown, is being clear what the problem is at Tottenham. Everything he said is 100% right. Of course the Manager shouldn't be saying these things in a press conference. But i do believe Conte had enough. He probably had spoken with Daniel Levy several times previously telling him what was needed to be done. But he was sold empty promises. Ok fine, i'll say it publicly. Either i get sacked or these people will react. If i get sacked, then i am right, i they react, then i am also right. In the end Conte was always going to be proven right.

The Owners should support him to push through meaningful changes although he may just quit and take his abilities somewhere appreciative. Bravo.

We were so many times 1 goal behind and turned so many games. Easy to say he did not win a trophy. But to be true are we such a big club to win trophies? He was the right coach without financial power to buy trophies. Conte got many players and speaking about character etc. Sometimes it just will not work and Conte is great coach. No blame to him

  • If what Conte is saying is correct why has Ange been able to get the same players to perform much better than Conte did? - specifically Bissouma, Son, Udoggie, Porro, Kulesevski, Sarr, and Romero. The problem was Conte's coaching style and the fact that players and fans don't want any thing to do with turgid defensive football.

  • As a lifelong Spurs fan... sadly this is the truth. As a manager, I don't know what Conte does to resolve this. As an owner, I don't know what Levy does to resolve this in the short term. Does he sack Conte, because he's right and has allowed this to happen? It might be the only way forward for the club, in the short term. In the long term, if they don't see it through with Conte, then we'll be having a similar performance with a difference manager, so who knows what will happen!

  • Conte is an exceptional manager, whose résumé speaks for itself. However, when he took this job, he was well aware of all the issues related to the culture of the club. He took the job knowing who Levy was and how he operated. He took the job knowing the history of Spurs. Conte was so aware of the situation that he rejected the offer the first time. What on Earth did he expect to happen? Also, half the players on the pitch yesterday were ones he recruited, so, there's that.

    • I don't think there has ever been a great manager who didn't have a robust ego. Thinking you can be the one to succeed where others fail is part of the makeup of top flight management; you just can't be right all the time. Bringing a few players into a squad that doesn't sweat for the badge isn't going to change that; they will either play monkey-see-monkey-do or think "why should I bust my ass every match day when noone else does?" The last player I watched in a Spurs shirt who left everything on the pitch was Erikson...

      @tomj819@tomj819 Жыл бұрын
    • @@tomj819 You are absolutely right about the role that ego plays. However, Conte, at some point, has to accept that he also plays a role in what is currently happening at Spurs.

    • Probably the players don't take it seriously enough. To win trophies at the highest level you really need to be willing to fight with all you've got, you need extremely strong passion and desire to win. Kane and Son are technically exceptional players (definitely among the best on the planet), but sometimes I feel both of them don't have the mentality it takes to win. They seem good guys, in their mind football is most likely just their job. They don't really seem to have that aggressivity, that ego, that extreme desire to win that is often necessary. Same thing seems to lack a bit in the English national team by the way. Lighting up that fire, that passion and team spirit is usually one of Conte's greatest strengths, so there really must be some issue beyond his control
