I did lol when the option came to throw out a Pokémon I wasn’t paying attention and just kept throwing balms until I beat it!
Same
same
I was so focused that I didn't notice either.
Same
Same
Yes. Yes it is. I was too afraid to lose an Pokemon, cause my team was WEAK so I was like just Buddy from Elf PELTING THE HELL out of Kleavor then hide when he would attack.
Lmfao saaaame!!! I didn’t want my little Pokémon to be attacked, it made me feel so bad when they would. ;~;
I ended up beating it without using Pokémon because I didn’t know we were supposed to do a battle with them😂
Same 😂
I figured everyone did this.. they mentioned using your pokemon
Me too haha!
Same here😂😂
Exactly because this video is clickbait and makes zero sense
Its really cool that your entire party can be at 0 hp and you as the player's can still run around with a coprse in your pocket lol
Wait I didn’t know that
because it's not a corpse, it's fainted. and they're in pokeballs.
Franchise growth for the win
This game finally made it clear to me why you “black out” when you don’t have any more Pokémon in other games, at least in the wild. It can be so damn hard to stay alive on foot without Pokémon to protect you.
all my pokemon fainted durin a side quest where you couldnt run from battle, and it just acted like ive beaten the pokemon, which was kinda weird.
Honestly it’s so much fun just dodging and throwing I’d recommend anyone try it at least once if you’re able to
My disabilty was a concern for these big battles so a massive thank you for doing this video. Fingers crossed (not that i can) this wirks on other nobles
Voltorb will suck for you, hope you can beat the game though, you can always use the continue option
Yh voltorb is a joke I couldn't shake his attacks
Either i suck at it or it is very hard but it took me 2 times to defeat voltorb
The last two were definitely a pain, but when you black out there is a continue option, which will keep however many levels/segments of the health bar you've already depleted. Effectively, you only need to beat each section once, which was a lifesaver for me, as someone that doesn't usually play these types of games. It's basically a slightly easier option
@@ieatcheese8744 just wait until arceus lol
I beat all of them without any Pokémon lmao I had no clue, wasn’t that hard either!
I’m Through 2 of them and didn’t even know lol
The game itself is pretty easy, everybody hyping up eletrode because he uses a lot of moves and i just threw balms until it calmed down, my only "death" in this game was because i jumped from a high place because the game bugged when i dropped off.
@@707romo707 the only one i needed it for was the last one
You were supposed to use pokemon?
@@Nobody-su9km yea lol my 1 death was from not paying attention
honestly since you have infinite balms, as long as your good at dodging, killing it should be pretty easy. just tedious
I really like all the guides you put out for us. For beginners like us it really helps soooo damn much thank you for the content grind
@Lauren Harper same
I would love to see similar guides for other frenzied nobles
It’s extremely easy just keep rolling and throwing balms I beat them all without any Pokémon
I accidentally did this for the Lilligant fight, cakewalk compared to kleavor (and you can still just camp behind a tree for him)
@@p0tatowned202 They’re all easy
@@10tailedbijuu I’ve beat the whole game and I’ve only died once by jumping off my bird and hitting the ground, never from any of the bosses. They should really add a hard mode or new game plus!
Hey Austin John, wanted to say thank you so much for this. I've been really hesitant to get the game because I'm just not good at the real-time action stuff (dodging, rolling, aiming etc.) But this video has made me see that that's okay, I can still enjoy this game and even see success. So, mad props to you.
I did this by “accident.” I missed the whole “it’s weak use your Pokémon.” So I just ran around throwing the Balms at it lol
Yeah, you can also continuously bait him to dash into the tree, making it stun itself. Austin did it a couple times on here, but doesn't seem like he caught on.
Been watching for a while man and your videos are fun, straight forward, and very helpful and all around you have amazing content keep going and I’ve been loving the arceus videos
Yay, more PLA content from Austin! I love the tutorials, the late and post game videos are really helpful.
Your the only reason I turned on notifications dude. Your killing it with legends arceus.
You can calm all of them without battling and just throwing the balms, I did most of mine like that since I started to get pretty badly underleveled towards the end
Loving the contents that you are bringing out! Btw, is there any chance on actually how much are the catch rates on different balls?
watching this while i work on my pokémon card contest entires! the topic of pokémon games being accessible to disabled people is something i'm passionate about (as a disabled pokémon fan) and i was also decently worried about the differences in gameplay making pl:a hard for me. i really like seeing you mentioning any possible issues and going over them a bit, it definitely makes me feel acknowledged which is nice.
That’s sweet dude. I hope your friend gets to enjoy this game as much as the rest of us!! Your a amazing KZheadr and a amazing person in general. Thank you for all you do for us in the community. We all appreciate it so much! Tell your friend that I said I hope he gets to do it all!
Hey Austin, I've been watching since your Breath of the Wild videos, and I just wanna know that I absolutely love the content you make for every game you cover. Keep up the good work.
Bro you’ve been killing it for years , but with this game you’ve been on a roll 🔥💯
A random question that came to my mind- Can you fight frenzied Pokemon again? Like, I defeated Kleavor. It would be cool if I can do it again.
Yes, you can, in the endgame.
@@rafafc4127 Oh, ok! Thanks!
Thank you for putting out these guides for us, all your videos are so helpful
I appreciate videos like this and the consideration you gave to your friend. I have numbness issues in my left hand and chronic pain in my right due to wrist injuries and it can get really frustrating trying to balance work and still have some tolerance left over for games too. I had to rest with the later bosses but I hope that friend has good luck with them, as well as anyone else with mobility issues with their hands.
I've been doing that for all the nobles. It's just more fun that way
This is actually how I beat him, since I didn't realize you could stun him when he charges.
Love when a new pokemon game comes out i play your vids in the background while I play pokemon, brings me joy
Austin, the amount of high quality content you put out around new game launches is unbelievable. I binged all your content for all the Switch games. Keep up the great work!
I didn't know we could use pokemon for these battles until I got to the fourth noble pokemon 😅
I beat all the nobles without throwing out pokemon, gave the nobles a more dark souls vibe which I love. Avalugg is pretty difficult near the end of the fight so I would say that would be a big struggle for anyone with limited use of their hands but hopefully everyone can beat this game as its lots of fun.
Austin thank you so much I have an uncontrollable muscle movement in my right arm so the first method will be so helpful! I love your content and this game. Keep up the good work!
You've been killing it friendo! Do you have multiple accounts to make these videos or is there like a gameplay plus to keep playing the game again with everything?
I think a guide to Avalugg would be huge. That Boss battle is extremely hard
For me he was a joke, when he spews the ice breath at you he has a blind spot right on the left and right edges in the very front of the platform depending on the direction, like when he swings to the left, his blind spot is on the left, vice-versa, just strafe with his attack and it's done deal, when he rains the ice from above stand around the center and look directly at him, when the icicle is fully on screen is when you dodge, the icicles coming up from underneath is when you want to hang back and just dodge, and when he does the Ice Beam stand dead center front and dodge towards it when he starts to swing it. For how imposing he is, it took me 1 cycle to figure him out and then he was probably the second easiest one just behind Kleavor because he only ever did his rushing flurry to me. Most of the nobles were disappointing and easy, only one I struggled with was Electrode because I'm not used to playing bullet hecks.
@@jonolivier9126 eletrode is really easy, just time consuming because you have very small Windows, as long as you keep your eyes in The eletro ball at all times you will have no problem with him, just need to be patient with The small throwing Windows.
@@Nobody-su9km OK, thanks, I'll keep your advice in mind. I was trying to rush him like the others, which got me destroyed, think for repeat playthroughs I'll focus more on dodging and waiting to get into battle for the free shots afterward, probably would have made it easier on me.
I've quelled him and the dancing plant one without sending out pokemon. I just kept dodging and throwing the bags and never called out a pokemon.
Far and away the best Pokemon gaming channel on KZhead. No contest. Thanks for everything, man.
Austin: hit like goal for more Me still waiting for him to finish cage lock with adrive from that like goal.
I literally beat him without any Pokémon today I threw balms the whole time and never got the option to bring my Pokémon out didn’t know it was a rare thing lol
Fun fact, I beat him just by dodging and throwing those balms. I was like “where is the part I battle them”…. And then I won and was like, okay, that was lame. Hahaha
Austin I love you videos keep up the hard work bringing us all these informative videos :D
Amazing how you made the time to show you friend (and a lot of other people) that they can enjoy this game
Thank you Austin. Not many game developers or players remember those with mobility issues that could limit their enjoyment. I actually did the no pokemon route when playing because of my mobility issues, so again thank you for acknowledging that fact.
I only found your channel recently (SWSH) but you are my go to source of Pokémon info especially since you include spoiler warnings.
fun fact: i quelled like 2 of the noble pokemon without the pokemon-battling portion, because i didn’t realize that you were supposed to until like a second after it was too late
Great vid Austin St John
Thank arceus we have Austin John to make videos for us to help us through the game. I’m not a huge gamer but I like playing Pokémon from time to time. But my goodness I have a hard time figuring out some things so I’m forever grateful for these kinds of videos!
Something to note if people are struggling with the battles is the 'continue' option when you loose - it saves some progress and heals you and your pokemon so you don't need to be able to do the entire fight for any of the nobles in one go to get through the game. Deffinatley saved me on one of the fights where I just couldn't figure out how to time the dodges for a particular attack.
This video was so great and useful. Could you please do guides for the other nobles?
this is hilarious. I love games where you can achieve a goal multiple different/ obscure ways.
Saw the title in my notification, and immediately knew the answer sense I beat Kleavor without battling it lmao
That's gonna be a fun challenge for Pokemon streamers or unless it's a Speedrun too either way
See this is why I ask for a alpha Pokemon catching guide. You make everything seem so easy. Great vid
@Austin John Plays There are 19 Arceus Plates, 17 being the ones we know exist already and then there is the normal plate and the legends plate the legends plate is a plate that makes Arceus's Judgement move be every type
I have to be honest. Was so upset and feeling bummed about my limited mobility with my left hand that I haven't touched the game since release day. This guide is so helpful and reassuring that I'm gonna try picking it up again. Thank you
great vid, can you do a video about how to "farm" metal and other crafting resources?
Huge thanks! I’m similar to your friend in that I have nigh no finger movement and so can’t throw and aim at the same time (can’t hit two buttons together on the same side of the switch). Figured something out to catch normal Pokémon but kleavor would be a real struggle. So thanks!! Disappointed Nintendo doesn’t do button remapping!
Really happy I came across your videos.
I beat it without using any Pokémon because when it said to battle it with pokemon, I just ignored it and kept using the tree to keep it still. The tree in this boss fight is really helpful.
I definitely had no idea you could use pokemon on this mission lmao best game I've played in years.
dude i love your content 1.ur funny 2. you post a lot.3.your awesome😁
Hey Austin. What do the red arrows do on the pokedex research screen? I notice some tasks have them and others dont.
You look like you need sleep. I haven't even received my game yet but I love all your videos 🙌
I havent used pokemon for any of the nobles, I didn't know I could at first, now it's a fun little challenge.
I actually used no Pokémon for Kleavor in my playthrough by accident🤣🤣🤣 I didn't get hit either, which isn't much of a feat, but oh well, also, can you please do an outbreak guide? Keep it up with the amazing content recently and close upload schedules, I've been really needing these guides so thank you.
So many people had no idea that they had the option to fight the nobles with your pokemon. This is what happens when they don't hold our hand so much lol. In the beginning it's kinda necessary but after that.. There's so many things that they don't tell you that's quite helpful
I'm 4 bosses in and have yet to battle 1 of them. It kept saying to throw in a pokemon but I was having too much fun with the actual action.
Maybe Austin John plays was the Pokémon we were looking for all along
so hard to keep up with new austin content
i didnt use pokemons at all for most nobles because i couldnt afford to miss that juicy boss xp for any of my pokemon when they faint
thank you austin, very cool
I have joint issues in my hands and these battles were a total challenge for me. Especially the Voltorb one where I had to move around constantly to not die, and then I find holding the ZR and ZL buttons for any amount of time just results in inflamed finger joints. (Also I didn't realise until maybe the 3rd one that I could continue from where I had left off rather than start over from the beginning?? It pays to read the screen it turns out).
I was so focused on dodging the attacks and spamming the teatime remedies, that I ended up 'Dark Souls'ing through the entire boss encounter.
I beat it for sure without pokemon. I had no idea when i was supposed to fight with pokemon XD I also love the new boss fight mechanic :)
Oooh that sounds like it'll be entertaining, also didn't think the first boss would be THATT easy, I mean it is the first but dang, not the sharpest axe in the shed are they?
Wait how has it been almost five years? I literally started watching your videos when BotW came out.
Austin: Can You Beat Kleavor with no Pokémon? Me: Wait, you’re supposed to use Pokémon?
Can you make a video about grit dust and things like that for effort levels? You got the best PLA content on KZhead
Maybe something to look into, especially for people people who have a hard time with these frenzied Pokémon. On the third one, I was having problems and died twice. The first time, I hit reset, and I started the battle over. The second time, I hit continue and it started the battle where the health was when I died. If the continue choice can be selected multiple times, it may allow someone who is having trouble (who is used to more of a casual gaming experience) to continue and not hit a wall in the game.
I actually realized that it got dazed when it charged into stuff shortly after the battle started and ended up doing it mostly like the second part, lol.
I would love to see you do this with the other nobles that are harder than kleavor. I beat kleavor first try and my pokemon were over leveled, lol. The other nobles i faced so far weren’t so easy.
I think you should do a video on how all the buff and debuff works now like calm mind cuz I think it buffs both phy att and spe att and also buffs phy def and spe def and not just spe att and mag def only
Do you know if agile style or strong style changes buff and debuff moves like does it increase or decrease there damage percent depending on which or is it just change how accurate they are?
I've only done the second noble, however I think that you can definitely get away w/o battles (in fact I think I did second w/o battle on accident) however I'm not as sure about the ONLY battle thing. Well at least without a LOT of time spent for some (the second I think only gave me one opening when they were 1/2 way calmed but I don't remember for sure)
i'm one of those people who ignored the "throw a pokemon" message and kept throwing balms until i won not like the fight was challenging at all, but it would've been nice to know
The invincibility while dodging is vital the game makes you use them for some of the other nobles
This is how I’ve been fighting the bosses, just dodging and throwing balms. Has worked fine for me though it probably takes a little longer!
Thanks for the totem sticker video I finally found the 1 sticker I needed
After Kleavor I stopped battling with my Pokémon during these. I just hit them with the thingies and evade. I also love that you can go back into the fight without losing your progress if you faint.
i dont think the other bosses would take kindly to your no action tactic, curious to see what you do for them
They are even easier like this lmao.
I only noticed halfway through the battle when you needed to send out your Pokémon XD
THANK YOU. I have a lot of problems with games that require coordinated, quick-twitch movements - especially when they have lots and lots of buttons. (I'm not kidding, either. I don't have a medical condition - I just suck.) Pokemon has long been my favorite game franchise for that reason - I can actually be good at most Pokemon games. I'm loving PLA, but I'm struggling through it.
Kleavor: I fear no man, but that thing, (A tree) it scares me
"Can you beat it without any Pokemon" Me after defeating all 5 without any Pokemon: Uhh yes you can 😅
I haven’t used Pokémon against any of them. Didn’t even know that you could lmao.
Now only if you could do exactly what you did with the first area(covering 99.9%) with every area that would be absolutely astonishing and helpful.
I’m gonna be honest I have 22 hours and I just reached the second area of the game 💀 I’m just enjoying catching and completing everything in each dex entry… and also bc of the video explaining shinies that you made. I already found a shiny shinx and psyduck 😍
I've only done two so far. I did try to fight Kleavor but it destroyed me so I got it behind the tree and did what you did, wait for it to knock itself out then throw balms, and it did the trick. It is actually quite fun to run around trying to throw balms at them whilst dodging their attacks
The main thing I'd like to see is if there's a way to manipulate the breakout to a specific pokemon, I'm hunting scyther, bunneary and Toxicroak all with perfect pokedex entries
Thx Austin
I didn't realize there was an option for liligant and kept throwing those balms lol. Focused on not trying to get curb stomped
that graveler came with a pretty sweet moveset!
