Baited ia bowl with a cracker tied to a bell on a string. Then teped it to the top of the bowl. The string on the measuring cup that held the bowl up slightly. Then I ran the string down the hall to where I slept. If I heard the bell I knew he was eating the bait, pulled the sting, and trapped him under the bowl. Evaded me for weeks. I went without a mouse in the house 1 week. Until next time. Thanks for your help.

  • Shawn, several years ago I had a cookout and had a 6 gallon bucket with water in case of fire as we were in a terrible drought. After the cooking was finished and the fire was out, I doused the areas around the grill and stuck the bucket inside a shed. Someone had thrown a chicken leg bone in the gallon of water left in the bucket. I came out to do some yard work the next morning and was going to dump the water as it was next to my work bench. There was a huge dead rat in it. Apparently he had tried to get to it off the workbench and fell in but couldn’t get out. This video brought back a good memory for me. Take care and Friday and today Your counter showed I was #421 on the Like counter. Have a great week and check You Friday 🤠

  • This actually worked!!! 🙌🏼 I woke up in the middle of the night to hear something running under my bed and to my horror saw a small grey mouse running out of my bedroom. For the last few weeks, we’ve pulled up the carpets, plugged any potential mouse holes and used this bucket trick, as wanted an alternative to mouse traps. We placed the bucket in the warmest room in the house (laundry/boiler room) and just left it and to be honest, completely forgot about it 😂 You need a lot of patience as this was not an overnight operation but took 2-3 weeks until we caught a mouse. Would recommend to anyone looking for a laid back approach to catching mice.

    • The bucket probably wasn’t tall enough. Add water, you can’t really jump while standing in water. Or, if you don’t want to drown them, put oil in the bottom, just enough to completely cover the bottom. Their feet will be so slick they can’t hold onto the rim.

No BS: it was larger than the bill. people would come from all over the base to see it.

Took a piece of styrofoam and glued 2 washers to one side and a dab of jiffy on other side and let it float. Ramp and 4 mice tried to jump aboard for peanut butter but had to swim. Only one was still alive in morning. Best clinger. Am now rewatching your videos to find out how to identify native species. For Ohio.
