  • I was a professional rock and blues guitarist for many years. I can tell you, what this man says is true. I know the hypnotic power and influence music has over people, and I used it myself before I came to Christ. It can be a powerful source for good, and for evil. Be very careful what you listen to, and what you let into your subconscious. What you hear can work inside you for a long time after the music has ended. Be careful.

This quote from the Psalms is worded in a dramatic manner to eventually imprint the subconscious or "deep mind" and take root therein. The Psalms use this technique for effect

    • Sometime within the past 11-12 years, I saw a report that supports what you're saying, completely! It turns out, further, that it was the Illuminati, that was the financial backing power behind a whole slew of so-called "Contemporary Christian" groups. Why? Because these groups were told:"We can help you, but you are to only sing about God's Love, not about sin, the Wrath of God, or about God's Judgement. And:I would believe that they decided to push these Occultic Symbols, through the guise of "Christian Rock"! Many groups fell under their influence, compromised, and, just like Judas Iscariot of old, sold out Jesus Christ for their proverbial "30 Pieces of Silver". I believe that at least some of these groups were exposed for what they had done...but now, there's a new generation of these "Contemporary Christian" groups, that are doing the very same thing! In fact, this has long been prevalent in some of the groups of another Genre, that people aren't even aware of. This might come as a complete shock, but I'm talking about SOUTHERN GOSPEL MUSIC! There have been Freemasons, that have infiltrated that Genre of Music, even earlier on. Hovie Lister, the Pianist and Owner of The Statesmen Quartet, was, himself, a Freemason, and it is rumored that at least some, if not all, of the members of his group were Freemasons. These secret "Groups", such as the Freemasons, and the Illuminati, are connected. We can only keep ourselves pure, keep our eyes on the prize (Which is Jesus Christ), and stay prayed up, packed up, and ready to go up, when Jesus comes!

I see music through GOD's point of view and not from the world's. My dad was an alcoholic and drug abuser for 20 plus years. He went to multiple therapies, therapists and rehab centers. Was an avid atheist his whole life as well. Once he found god he became truly happy before his passing and was able to happy many who had his affliction. He truly became a better man once he found our lord and savior Jesus Christ. The effects are still there but less offensive. I tried giving up music for lent this year. I failed almost every day. But the detox was good. I’m not nearly as mature as i wish i was but it helped me at least start to think more maturely, more responsibly, less whimsically. Suddenly my fantasies started to have more wholesome interactions. As a former secular musician and later a musician and worship leader in my church at that time, I fully realise the impact of music and rhythm upon the human psyche. • Hi! I'm an an atheist, never been baptized. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing to be proud of, at all. First things first. This video contains VERY VERY IMPORTANT MESSAGE related to the music, word by word everything this Man said about music - is 100% accurate. Music, always has been distractive in many ways. Hypnotic music, is wheres song after a song you hear artist many kind, yapping and yapping about same subject over and over in different shape (words). I do personally find that very hypnotic. It does ALSO LEAVE you NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS ON your Brain. It kills 40% - 100% environment concentration. Development ALSO. It leaves you tired. The longer you listen to it, the more tired you will be. Funny thing is 😅😅, week Ago I decided to carry out experiment during my work. (I had to investigate what causes me tiredness, even though I sleep only 4 - 6h, but it's a different kind of tired). One day, In my lorry, I left only music on my entirety shift, non-stop. The result is - you are very very tired by the end of shift, like extra tierd. Fell asleep straight away when went home. That's the devil's ideology - keep you distracted from mission. Television is the first worst distraction tool ever created, after that, video games, computers, and now - handheld device's such as mobile telephone which is serving more of a television in pocket size. Interesting isn't it? Keeps you distracted more and more, you spend more time watching television and less time with your life. Kills your abilities, tricks you to do something so stupid that you might regret for the rest of your life, or It just robbs big portion of time from your life, without you even noticing. It closes abilities for God to guide you.

This is a great reminder! Praise The Lord Jesus Christ. A pastor I knew as a kid said you gotta feed your spirit more and starve your flesh in what it desires. Praise Jesus Christ!

  • Folks I need to add more to this. Yes this guy is of God. Amen! I'm African living in the US. Sometime back here in the US I was working at a printing company[printing 'Merrill Lynch' financials stuff]. One night while I was working with these printing machines I heard this secular music that I used to listen to when I was in Africa making its way from Africa to my job and picking up the rhythm(sound) of these moving printing machines and next thing I knew the whole job place was filled with the music like in a theater. THIS WASN"T A DREAM folks but in real life. This music followed me home after punching out from work. When I grabbed the Bible and started reading, the music gradually started fading away until I heard it no more....proving the Bible is real. There's power in music and satan is really using it to open doors for his kingdom. Now ALL I listen to is strictly Gospel. Amen

    • @@sirrodrickgeorgemcberryjoh9509 There is a thing in psychology where you see something that isn't really there because you are used to seeing it. That's why you can look at a bunch of random marks on a wall or a canvas and it looks like a face. In the same way, I think if you are used to hearing a tune, then you might hear it while listening to random noises and as you focus more and more on the tune it will grow louder in your head. Once you find something to refocus your attention with, that has greater importance to you, (the bible) the sound stops. That's what I think happened in his story. Maybe something demonic was happening to him, but I don't think so. I think there's a rational explanation to it. The bishop never revealed where in revelation this is mentioned. I don't remember there being a verse that saying to "beware the false music" or "drums of rhythm are of the devil". I could've missed something, but I don't think so. This line of thinking from this bishop seems like a slippery slope into legalism and superstition.

  • Beautiful music can be discerned by the heart and conscience. It can be uplifting to the soul and bring us closer to the Lord and appreciate the beautiful things that a human's creativity can bring about. There are beautiful paintings, sculptures, songs, dances, food. Just like everything thing else in our world the indivisual has to use his discernment and God created conscience to decide on what to consume. Human creativity is also a gift from God and can be used to uplift or for evil.

Ya at one point I used to listen to all kinds of music but a couple months back I started paying attention more to the lyrics and getting rid of songs that seemed too sexually explicit or something. I figured if I cut out music that seemed unholy or whatever it would be okay to still listen to. I especially listened to instrumental. But I always wondered if it was still bad and I would often think of what Jesus I believe said that "it's not what goes into a person that defiles them but what comes out." I didn't and sometimes still don't understand how music as long as it's not sexually explicit or blasphemous how could it be terrible?! What this Bishop said makes a lot of sense though, I just wish I could listen to music without worrying I'm doing something wrong, even if the music is better than what I used to listen too!?! You know what I wouldn't be surprised if the devil was behind the music industry, makes sense in a way.
