In the 4th Commandment of the Bilbe, it says "Thou shall keep the Sabbath day holy". Its a literal day which we need to keep it holy.

That was a literal day to rest in the Old Covenant. In the New Cov the Shabbat is Jesus Himself. He said: more than the Shabbat is here.
Now, this makes sense. And it makes me feel better for always taking my sabbath on a Saturday.

"Remember the Sabath day to keep it holy". Exodus 20: 1-17
That was said to the people of Israel. I am not an Israeli. God never told me to keep the Sabath day in the covenant I have with Him, namely, the New one. By the way even an Israeli can not keep the Sabath day, because the Old Testament in no more. Nobody can enter in something that does not exist.
Read what Paul said. "Do not let anyone judge you on the sabath." Sunday is when Christ rose from the dead. Show where in the new testament we are to keep Saturday Holy.

I have discovered it only recently during a fellowship. The Sabbath Day is meant for us people. Not as a ritual, like many misguided people do. The Lord wants us to rest, so that we dont exhaust ourselves. We all work hard and everything, and to be fair, it is very merciful of Him. Others everyone would work themselves to the bone. For example, I work 6 days with varying shifts and have 4 days off. Then my cycle starts over again. I always take 1 of my days off to just do nothing. The Lord asked me to rest one day and I can choose which one. Now I see the Sabbath different. It feels truly like a resting day. Dear Lord, I thank You for showing Your way to me. Me, an unworthy sinner of Your mercy. You know my weaknesses, but know how to treat me properly. I am blessed to have You in my life. Amen.

With respect, I think the day of crucifixion of Jesus was Friday, and Saturday the Sabbath (John 19:42). Sunday, the 3rd day, Jesus is risen. Sunday is the first day of the week (John 20:1).
No, according to Christian tradition, Resurrection Sunday is the eighth day. It's the day after... This is why I celebrate resurrection every Sunday of the year.

As a seventh day adventist who has worshipped and rested on the saturday for the past 15yrs and has only been considerihg converting to eastern Orthodoxy in the past couple of weeks, i found this extremely insightful in finding the closest truth to my lord and savior Jesus Christ

Christianity isn't something you convert to. All the other beliefs are man made. Christianity is surrendering to Jesus Christ as your creator and savior. No where in the Bible did the Apostles say convert. They said believe.

This is a young earth, not an old one in the Billions of years. Go study creation in Genesis for yourself. Moses write Genesis. He wrote in Genesis 1:1-5 was the first day. This was all day one. Not in the new testament. Paul said do not let anyone judge you on the sabbath. Either you are living under the old testament or the new testament. If you are living under the old testament then you will have to sacrifice animals. Christ is the sacrificial lamb. If the law could save us there would be no need for Christ. Paul said that. I had walked away from the Lord for 8 long years. Stopped believing and stopped going to Church. Then I had an experience where Christ revealed Himself to me in dreams, over and over again, so I finally repented and returned to Church. When I told my mother, she cried tears of joy, and she told me that she had prayed for me every single day that I would return to the Lord. Her prayers were answered. The prayers of a mother are powerful. 🙏 Keep praying, trust in God, and do not lose hope. 🙏 sometimes, some of us need to experience the world as prodical sons or daughters in order to understand just how amazing the love of God truly is.

Christ said "...come unto Me and I will give you rest (Sabbath)...". Christ is eternal Sabbath rest, eternal day. The phrase of, "...in the beginning...," is a direct reference to not just "a" beginning, (the creation of matter) but "various" beginnings, (stars, earth, life, time) but it ultimately focused on the priority beginning, the creation of man and the woman who they will join together in their family pilgrimage of discovering God.

Where do you think that the skin of the grape went to make the wine. When there was only water. Where did the alcohol come from. The process to make wine takes years. And He made the best wine. This is a declaration that He is outside space and time. So if God said He made it in six days He did make it in six days.

Can someone enlighten me cause I heard his preaches and I understand that it is what his understanding about the Bible, but It does not discredit the bible tho?, I mean there is a verse that we can't see is as literally but can come to an understanding with time, and prayers I believe. I always say that Jesus rose on Sunday , or Saturday night, because he honored the sabbath, even on his death. And he was crucified on Wednesday and put in the tomb for 3 nights and 3 days as Jonah was in the belly of the whale. Wednesday night, Thursday night ,friday night. Rose Saturday night. Jesus Christ was the end of what the Bible teaches about the sabbath and a whole bunch of other things. He sums it up by saying to love one another as he loves us, and to love God with all our hearts. Extremely simple and concise.
Sabbath is made for men.... We are not animals we are men..... following the words of God is far better than making a holy sacrifice..... God doesn't want men decision but only his...... Men should only fulfilled God's will but not to instruct him...... There is nobody else who can overpower God.....

Saturday Sabbath is a day for the rest of the body and even the Lord Himself followed it through. He didn't do anything that He wouldn't prescribe to others. All the Apostles kept the seventh day sabbath. Paul kept the seventh day sabbath and all the early Christians kept the seventh day sabbath. Sunday was the day of the sun god and of pagan worship.

There is no details mentioned in the Bible but when Jesus came He has declared and took rest on Sabbath

I'm hurt by the attitude of my wife and in-laws. Even though I said the truth, is there a law that says a husband cannot know the privacy of his wife's cellphone? Until my in-laws said they told me to be a FRIEND. Why Jesus teach us to forgiven someone hurting you? Why???
