It's hard to believe that the second year of my log cabin building had already came to an end. Another year of hard and what at times feels like endless work. It's when I look back at the end of the year and realize the progress I've made so far. The structure now is closed in from the outside elements, which is a big achievement for me and it's a relief to have the logs protected from the rain. Doing everything DIY for sure is taking a lot more time and work, but the satisfaction of seeing something grow built by your hands it's an indescribable feeling and I take great pride in doing it my way.
Hope you enjoy the video and thank you very much for watching and thanks to everyone that has been following my progress and supporting my channel. Especially a big thank you to everyone who helped me along the way, my family, friends,...
This videos is a recap of the second year of my work on the log cabin and some nature moments around it. This is not a video to teach you how to build a log house.

    • Bill isba go getter like my brother Marty who died saving two of his co-workers as an over achiever, damn a heck of a guy with guts to save his fellow workers. You ask why? Itcwas because he loved life and nature. Bill and Marty would ve stood side by side rebuilding our status a true liberators of our Civil Rights that we are losing everyday ad USA Freedom Fighters. Bill is a pioneer and isn t afraid of hard work to acheive on paper his plans of rising above his dreams and to live the true American dream of self made success. May Our Lord be with you and keep you from all harm, especially how your intelligence to trap those animals. You believe in the Native American ways of using only what nature supplies you with to survive and use the whole animal to just meet your individual needs. I wished I woukd ve been as fortunate as your wife is. She s a lucky woman to have you for her mate. I thought I had,but the odds were against me choosing the prince of my dreams. Keep your high beliefs. We re watching you make it on your own yet with your eife s skills she wholly gives you. You re the family example our new generation needs. You give us hope to carry on.Thank-you for sharing your skills of carpentry our future builders of America need to know and actually apply themselves to achieve a better tommorrow...More power to you...

Also you speak at least two languages. On top of being incredibly talented with your tradecraft. I bet you guys are really incredible cooks as well. What a life. I started watching hours ago and can’t look away. There is catharsis in what you do. At one with yourself and the world around you. I’m deeply inspired by your work and will continue to be inspired by watching you. Negative complainers have very poor work ethic. To all of them. You should watch this man and learn about life. I love a similar channel called my self reliance, it's an older gentleman and his golden retriever, he mostly uses hand tools, with the exception of his chainsaw and he has an impact drill he uses for screwing down corrugated roofing sheets. But anyways, I fell asleep watching KZhead, woke up to this video, and I'm glad I did! Now I have another "homesteading" channel to binge watch! And there's also an adorable pup! Really cool to see your family getting into it with you and working together to build a home, whether it's to live in or to sell, you're still building a future together.

I watched maybe a minute of one of those clip's and knew it was only their version of the old way. Seeing as they try to find standing dead tree's to shorten lumber drying time, then there is this man who planed all of this year's ago. It is beautiful thing to see a man who knows what he is working with real live fall wood.

I love - the sheer strength of the build the tradesmanship that went into it that it was built from timber on site that the family all contributed to the effort the surroundings are so beautiful. I don't think a man could give his family a better gift. GOODONYA from sunny Queensland Australia. such an inspiration...

  • Nice to meet you. I am Japanese. My name is Jota Inui. I was a teacher for 27 years, but I had a stroke and had to quit my beloved job. And now, I am creating woodwork art works using world heritage Yakusugi and sacred trees. I have a variety of disabilities due to cerebral infarction. The right face has pain from being cut with multiple kitchen knives. And the left lower leg was left with a disability that was burned by the gas burner. Except when I'm sleeping, I'm living in a living hell of intense pain. In that living hell of pain, I am creating fishing charms and woodwork art works using the world heritage Yakusugi and sacred trees. I watched your KZhead and was deeply moved. Because you are challenging yourself with a very difficult task by yourself. And you are always working hard to make your dreams come true. Your home build is amazing. When I look at your house building, I feel that you are creating a work of art called a house. When I saw you working hard, my heart warmed and I thought that I had to work harder. Even though I am disabled, I have much to learn from your way of life. You are such a wonderful human being. I respect you with all my heart. And you give me the strength to survive. Sincerely thank. thank you very much. I look forward to your success. you are a really great human being.

  • This has to be the strongest structure I've ever seen built!! I think you followed the 2x8 roof plans with 12-14 inch logs. I think people use decorative logs for that inside haha. It's going to look amazing from the inside like that for sure. After watching you drag 3-400# logs around I was thinking this man could probably knock a mule out. About that time your wife I guess started working I thought she is just as strong. You carry that chain hoist up a ladder like it's a lunch box. This place will last 1000yrs. Im sitting in amazement.
