It's one year since I started this journey of building my off grid log cabin, which was a dream of mine since I was a kid and last October 2018 I decided and took the courage to start with this huge build by myself. Since then I came a long way, working in every weather imaginable, seeing many amazing sunsets and overcoming every obstacle in order to have the log cabin as it is now. I documented most of my work and put all of the best moments into this 2 hour documentary. I think I have another year to completely finish the house, but I'm more than happy whit what I've done so far. Hope you enjoy the video and thank you very much for watching and thanks to everyone that has been watching and supporting my channel.

This video is perfect therapy for the person, like myself, with insomnia, and in addition, could never physically achieve such challenging things. It's extrememly rewarding to see someone else accomplish so much and do so much while I so comfortably while away the nighttime hours! Thanks

The purpose of the comment is to be humorous to those who might have experience with the subject of the joke, by comparing the real life building of a house with the virtual building of a house. You also have no information on whether or not these individuals have crafted anything by hand. I, for one, play many video games and also build things by hand. May it in fact be you with the small penis, and you are compensating by being hostile and dismissive towards generations younger than you? Perhaps. In fact it is likely the case. You, good sir, are the kind of person that gives older generations a bad name on the Internet. TL:DR- *o k b o o m e r* (If you couldn't tell, this is a joke. No need for anyone to get their panties in a twist.)

  • I built a 2.5 story log home in Northern BC forty years ago. I redesigned a front-end loader on a Minneapolis Moline to use as a loader, and used a 1950's grain truck with a log out over the cab about forty feet long for the 8 x 12 timber joists and roof. You have some improved techniques since those days, but many things are the same. I am feeling the urge to do it again; although, much smaller, I will use dove tail corners with 8x12 cants. Thanks for an entertaining film. Yes, I will do all my own logging and everything else. The best to you, and thanks again, for reminding me of those days of yesteryear. I still have the Husky 480 I used, but it needs to be rebuilt.

I love working with wood... it's very forgiving, love the smell of freshly cut wood, love the feel under my fingers when you're aligning two pieces together and you make it equal... and million other small things. When I was a kid (just finished elementary school) doctors told me that I was allergic to saw dust and it would only get worse with time. Fast forward 20 years and I'm working as a framer and I've been doing so for the past 7-8 years. This video right here is my unspoken dream come true for me. I really envy you (in a positive way lol) In the beginning of the video I've noticed that your tractor had a license plate that looked like Slovenian (Europe). If my assumptions are correct, the only thing I can add is "Bravo majstore, svaka ti čast!" And one more thing... I've noticed you've had some people around throughout the video but still majority of time I'm guessing there is nobody with you (winter scenes etc.). Is quite obvious you've got the skills but please stay safe nonetheless. Much love and respect my brother, greetings from Canada.

  • Nice to meet you. I am Japanese. My name is Jota Inui. I was a teacher for 27 years, but I had a stroke and had to quit my beloved job. And now, I am creating woodwork art works using world heritage Yakusugi and sacred trees. I have a variety of disabilities due to cerebral infarction. The right face has pain from being cut with multiple kitchen knives. And the left lower leg was left with a disability that was burned by the gas burner. Except when I'm sleeping, I'm living in a living hell of intense pain. In that living hell of pain, I am creating fishing charms and woodwork art works using the world heritage Yakusugi and sacred trees. I watched your KZhead and was deeply moved. Because you are challenging yourself with a very difficult task by yourself. And you are always working hard to make your dreams come true. Your home build is amazing. When I look at your house building, I feel that you are creating a work of art called a house. When I saw you working hard, my heart warmed and I thought that I had to work harder. Even though I am disabled, I have much to learn from your way of life. You are such a wonderful human being. I respect you with all my heart. And you give me the strength to survive. Sincerely thank. thank you very much. I look forward to your success. you are a really great human being.
