Building My New Big Log HOME in the Wilderness With My Dog | Wood Foundation - Ep. 1

After many months of building my previous log cabin, which serves as a sauna, a relaxation room and a small bedroom, I have gained enough experience to build my real big log home, which will have plenty of space for comfortable living in it. In the previous episode I concreted the support columns. In this episode, I used my tractor to bring an oak tree with a diameter of 28-35 cm for the construction of the foundation. After I finished making the oak columns, I began installing the main floor beams that I milled from trees I cut down on my property. I also set up my sleeping area in the attic.
Today the temperature rose to +25 degrees Celsius. Therefore, it becomes more and more difficult to work. This summer I plan to dig a well and a fish pond. In the next episode, I will prepare and bring logs to build my house.

  • Love this vlog Bjorn. By the way, I thought about something I haven't seen before. I stove that is a heater and water boiler/heater, but with a steam generator attached. Surely if you burn wood, it creates heat which would then boil water, which generates steam. This steam could surely then generate power with a steam generator? This then could be converted to electricity with thus generatorx? This could be then stored in batteries, surely? The steam could then also be "recycled" to use the water again. Maybe someone might be able to suggest how and how to build such a thing... Just an idea...
