  • i was gonna say that this facility probably costs a million times more than say just going out and paddling. But again, a treadmill costs a lot more than just going out and pounding the pavement. you need the regularity to train and compare results.

    • This facility is in Potsdam close to Berlin. It is used by the german national team. The facility was already build by the GDR.

  • I'm not a fan of high tech, very expensive science being used to win Olympic events. It goes against all the principles of people training equally...from rich to poor countries...and so does not represent "naturally best athlete." The Olympics are about equality in finding the best.
