I'm sure the cilantro will grow, just put it on top of the dirt. Love what you're doing with the greenhouse.
The paper towel can be buried and the spouts will grow through the dirt. Follow your gut feeling.
Marci you could have kept the towel wet lay it flat on soil cover lightly no need to remove paper towel it dissolves.
I agree
Marci don’t throw the Cilantro seeds away. PLANT THEM!❤ The paper towel won’t hurt it either. It’s worth a try.
Crandell, your work ethic for a guy of your age is outstanding. There is nothing you won't take on and give it your best, and the projects I've watched you do are amazing. You are so talented, not forgetting what a lovely husband you are to MARCI and a fun, caring dad to your boys. I think you're a super family. 🏴🇬🇧🏡👩❤️👨❤️🏴
Your place is going to be an amazing place for your children to learn and grow up. Take care and stay safe. God bless
Plant cilantro cover with lite layer of soil should grow good
I totally agree, I have done this and the paper towel will breakdown as the seeds grow. Do Not throw them away. lay the paper towel on the pot of soil and sprinkle soil to barely cover them. Spray water them for a few days and the shoots will stand up. add a little more soil around them if needed.
I agree
Marci, those seedlings will grow. You can even plant part of the paper towel with the little root. It won't bother the plant a bit. You did a great job with those seeds. 😉 just separate them as best you can and plant them. If you cant get some of them apart, just plant them together., it will be fine. Plants are actually pretty tough.
Goose is such a good doggy 🐕💙⭐. He's always following either Maverick or you Crandall. Good boy Goose!!! I just LOVE WAFFLES 🐖❤!!! So cute and funny how the goats walk over Waffles 😅. Seems like mostly all Turkeys are aggressive. Maybe they sense the fact that they are usually hunted??? He sure is a handsome Turkey for sure. Maybe if you get him a "special treat" you only give him???
Marci I started my sunflowers like that. I put a wet paper towel in a shallow bowl and kept them with a little water daily. My flowers got 7 inches tall. Plant those seeds in a pot @The Eldridge Family and I promise they will grow. I kept them in a large deep flower pot on my deck.
Plant the seeds, you need to slightly push into the dirt they will grow. Don't listen to Crandall.
Crandall they will be fine just cover them in dirt and they will grow
The mint is good to make tea out of, when the boys have an upset tummy.
Those cilantro seeds that sprouted will grow! Spraying the paper towel would get them of but it wouldn't have hurt them. Sorry you threw them away because they were still good. It's actually the whole point of what Marcy did, get them to sprout. And for the rest of the stuff don't worry about breaking some of the roots, there is enough there to let it grow just fine.
It's not a fail March. I start that way. Plant them up. The white parts below the dirt the green part above. Your good.
You two have come so far in the time that I have been watching you. Not to mention that Crandall has helped a lot of people with his skills. Marci you are a wonderful mother and homemaker and also a great help to your husband 😊 I love y'all ❤❤
what you need in the strawberries is hay strings something that holds leaf and flower up above from dirt
I think the seeds that Marci sprouted would have been ok if she put them in a pot and covered with a little bit of soil. I had a similar experience when my husband passed away. We had already bought plants and seeds for the garden. The plants were left outside and rained on many times. What I didn’t know was that the seed packets were under the plants. A week later I thought I would plant the plants and found the seeds all sprouted. So I planted the seeds anyway. Every seed grew. I didn’t put a lot of dirt over them.
Since the paper towel is biodegradable, why not lay the paper towel on top of the dirt and just dust the top with a little dirt. Marcie, stop doubting yourself ❤. Gardening is full of mistakes that have worked out well. That’s how you learn. BTW, have you thought about planting a few plants/flowers in your garden that will repel destructive insects? Gary Walker is trying it. Marigolds will repel mosquitoes. Everything will come together as you finish projects. Great job Marcie and Crandall. God’s blessings
Oh my Crandall you are a hard worker. You are making great progress.
Crandall and Marci, you two are absolutely 💯 💯💯💯💯🙏God's children as we all are, but being a parent of 5children, 11 grands and 6great, I can just say that yalls parents has to be SO PROUD of you both.....I just absolutely love this young family, God bless🙌 you continually and keep giving you his Strength and guiding you through all that you do at your home.Take care and tell the boys night 🌙 night and much love to all 5# of you!! ❤❤💙💙💙
Marci ,those would still grow just lay the paper towel on the dirt put a little dirt over it and moisten it in. Keep it moist you'll be surprise at how it grows
The tissue is biodegradable so you can pinch a tiny piece of paper with it. Put it in the ground and see.😊 Marci if no holes you have to monitor how much water you use constantly.
Walkers has a turkey that attacks, Gary started holding him flat to the ground, every time he attacked, it seems as though it helps. When he lets him up the turkey walks away in the other direction. Marci those would have grown, you should have planted the whole thing in pot with thin layer of dirt over top , they would have grown. Do not give up you are doing great with learning to grow things.
Hi guys, it’s been a while. I just want to say you’ve done an awesome job on your greenhouse. You guys have come so far on doing different projects thank you for this video.😊 just feed them and they’ll be OK
I would have put the entire paper towel full of cilantro in the dirt and see if it would grow.
Daniel Arms use to do hydroponics in the past. Talk to him about how he did it. He is always very informative.
I am someone who watches and enjoys your videos. I am also a faithful watcher of Cog Hill Farm. Jason does a lot of gardening. I am sure if you contact him he will have a lot of ideas for you. God Bless you and your family.
You can make mint tea with your mint. It's awesome 👌
You guys work so much! Just amazing to see and inspiring really!! Absolutely love you, marci and the boys ❤ love watching all the progress y'all have made around there 😊 your doing great!!
Your seed that stuck to you towel will be ok .I had pepper started like that and they stuck I just put in a pot of dirt , they were best plants I ever grew.
The sprouted seeds are not too late. A friend mailed me seeds with tea bags and sprouted in transit. We planted all of them in the dirt and they grew into plants. You can add used coffee grounds in most plants and especially good for fruit trees and bushes.
Hey Marci, instead of buying a working lawn mower, let's just rent a skid steer for a month and tear everything up! Lol 😂 It's gonna be amazing when you get it finished!
You’re getting there slowly, but surely I’m very impressed with Maverick doing all the work back there while you’re doing all the talking. I hope you’re paying him a good wage.😊
That was a very cute video I really enjoyed it that will be nice to use the new blueitt thanks for sharing it was interesting Crandall and Marci you guys are doing great planting the stuff I hope they do great for you guys everything will look beautiful when it is done hope the grass comes up for you the animals look great but that turkey is something else he needs to chill that was to bad he attacked you and broke the lens everything is coming along day by day to the property it will look beautiful when it is all done thank you for the video and your guys time I hope you and your family has a great rest of your night and to the start of the weekend thanks again ❤
I got One tomato 🍅 on my tomato plant ☘️ right now. Yummy 😋🤤
Domino bout jump into the camera on into my living room 😂. Hi Marci and Crandall!! Another great video. Good job on the outside of the greenhouse. Great idea!! ❤ ❤ 😊
Guys. I cut some strawberries into 8 pieces. Put them in a large pot. Nope I didn’t put any dirt on them. Just laid them on moist dirt. I have strawberry plants!
Crandall, the high dirt pile in the greenhouse that Maverick loves to dig into should be lowered! Maybe I’m overreacting but it’s better to be safe than sorry! Love you guys and your three sweet babies!!
Make sure you put the mint into a sturdy container or you will have it all over the place
Iced peppermint tea! Yum yum!
Crandall you should have just let Marci plant those germinated seeds anyway. I'm sure they would have grew just fine. Not all of them had a lot of green.
Great video, I used to grow a lot of tea spearmint , peppermint, chameleon & a few more. I don't grow much of anything nowadays. I haven't seen your videos in a while. I have trouble keeping up with the the videos, with me taking care of my elderly mother & my own family.
Congratulations on 30,000🎉❤😊
When growing plants in the greenhouse you will want honeybees to be able to get in to pollinate the plants. Just put the paper towel with the seed on top of the dirt in a pot and lightly sprinkle dirt on top and it will grow.
Go ahead and plant that cilantro. It might do ok. Those that are stuck yo the paper towel, just plant the sprouts still stuck to the paper towel, its biodegradable. I can hear your frogs in the background! I LOVE listening to frogs singing! Its so peaceful.🐸
I’m always pulling out my mint. It goes everywhere. My boo boo.
Domino needs to go DOWN! lol Great job on the greenhouse planting! You never know how things will turn out, if you don't try! ...learning is what it's all about.....you all are doing great! God bless! ❤
The greenhouse is coming along. You only had the skid steer for a limited amount of time and had to do as much as you could with it. Now you can get back to the greenhouse. I expect you'll have it fully functional by next spring. 💖💖💖
I might have thrown that Cilantro in a pot, water it in and just see what it did. It's all looking good...Collect some of that rainwater for your plants too. And you could also make jams/jellies to sell. 😀
Male animals are a big pain with their aggression. I love how the greenhouse is coming along. It’s so good to see Marcey is trying to do more things outside. She’s becoming a farm woman. 😊 Crandall you sure are a man of all trades. 😊
Looking good! The hot house is really taking shape. Good things come slow. 😊❤❤❤
You could make tea with the mint, it is delicious!
Don’t throw them away that is a good way to start them. Love cilantro 🌿 😊
Honestly this was the first video i didn't fast forward through the paid advertisement! You're a great salesman too! What can't you do?
You can skip the commercial when it says skip, then just continue watching the video
@@user-pc1jx3id3j I wasn't referring to the commercials. I meant the sales pitch for the portable yeti power station. That was the paid promotion in this video I meant. Sorry for the confusion
Marci you should plant those sprouted cilantro sprouts and keep them wet they have roots and a sprout on top if you wet them in the Kleenex and just put it in the ground they will grow!!! It’s a very fast way to start plants you can do it with tomato plants that you start as well when you are pruning your tomato plants take the cuttings and pop in water and once you have roots put in the ground!!!! I’m so excited for your garden adventures! Keep experimenting Marci and just keep trying if you get roots you can start a plant!!! 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁
WOW CRANDALL AND MARCIE,,,Both of y'all are doing an amazing job with all of your projects,,,I can't wait to see the pond when you completely have it finished
you could plant directly in the grow bags 😉 they give very good result! your greenhouse is going to be fantastic!
Peppermint Tea and a few mint keaves in rice and Lebanese food uses miny
Marci don't feel bad, I've done the same thing with seeds before. Gardening is such a LEARNING PROCESS of what works and what doesn't!!! You should plant some pots of MARIGOLDS, they totally help cut down on BUGS IN THE GARDEN!!! Plant them around the edges of your large garden also. I personally love the smell of them and orange and yellow are my favorite colors (with green 💚🧡💛). Pepper 🫑🌶️ plants do great in pots... then after the season you cut them back 1/3 and trim ALL the leaves off of the plant. They will hybronate 🫑 🌶️ until the next year and you can do this for around 10 years each plant. So sweet how Maverick has his tractors ALL AROUND 🚜 🛠️in the dirt. Reminds me of when my son was a little guy (now 26). MY son was exactly like Maverick 💙✨, and he was always climbing trees 🤦. So wonderful you two have That HUGE GREENHOUSE 🌱🌿!!!! Crandall that was SO MUCH WORK getting it and putting It up!!! Amazing how Your Property Gas Transformed since before the Twins were born!!! How are the new laying chickens doing? How many eggs are you getting? Noticed you haven't planted any cucumbers yet this year and last year you had hundreds!!! You could can them with onions (like you have time). Great Job Crandall and Marci 💙🩷✨🙌!!! You Two Rock!!! OMG I still haven't mailed out the T-shirt I got you Marci. I've been sick and I care for my 85 year old Mother who has Alzheimer's. Praying 🙏 the weather doesn't get very bad for y'all. Western Upstate NY Here ❤
Take a garlic tablet daily, and the bugs wont bother you. Hubbys been doing that for years.
Many potting soils become hydrophobic-tending to repel water-when they dry out, and are difficult to re-wet. Gardeners may see water draining out the bottom of a pot and assume that means that the soil is saturated. But the water might be running between the side of the pot and the hydrophobic root ball instead, barely wetting the outer surface and leaving the center of the root ball dead dry. Small seedlings from nurseries are particularly prone to this, especially if they have become rootbound. It can happen to large container plants as well.
I live near the strawberry growing area in Florida. New plants are set out every year, at the end of the season March or April all the plants are plowed under, and new ones planted in the fall.
Oh you are doing a brilliant job on tge greenhouse and the yard Crandall snd well done marcie on growing your first plants you have some good roots ther ❤
If you had separated all those roots you would have had a ton of basil plants. You can plant lavender and lemongrass to help with mosquitoes, flies, and many other insects.
If you get a blister put Campho Phenique on a band-Aid it will completely take the liquid out of the blister and take away all the soreness. The Campho Phenique is a old remedy that came in a green bottle and you would use it for colds ,and when I was a child I’m 77 mom would use it all the time. I pray that it is still around because it works great for blisters. I had one in the center of my palm from putting in screws in the wall and the next morning, the soreness and the blister was completely flattened and no soreness ❤
Mint Ishtar for tea. It also soothes upset tummies.
Mint can be used when cooking goat, lamb and pork. It can be interchanged with oregano. Also goes well with some fruit.😃
I had no idea! That’s awesome
Mosquito repellent! Essential oil with water spray bottle, lemongrass and lots of citrus scents, Google had tons of info on which are best!
When are you doing your flower beds? Spearmint makes yummy spearmint ice tea. Your pond is going to bring tons of mosquitos.
Why not utilise the plastic pots for now as starter pots, especially for the mints and other aggressive growing plants? They can be split and repotted later as they fill the pots with their roots. Also they could be up on pallets for convenience so no bending down to tend to them. We always used to plant mint around the septic tanks to stop smells and insects like mosquitoes. Mint leaves in a bottle of water is si refreshing in summer. Also I liked a peppermint leaf in my coffee some mornings. Things are happening around the place and it is lovely to see. ❤
You should have saved the cilantro seeds a nd laid it Ina pot and covered it with dirt. It would still grow.
Hello from Colorado! Love the greenhouse
Im super impressed with yhe greenhouse! And omg Domino is nuts!😮😂
Mint leaf or slrig in lemonade or infused warer
Cut the pater towel to separate the plants and then plant them.
Plant the whole napkin thing in with some dirt ..see what happens!
The greenhouse is looking so good now have you thought about maybe doing another one and using it for a temporary shop and equipment room you could even park your vehicles in it. If you built it with the black cover it would block some of the sun so it’s not so hot especially as you can raise the sides a bit during the hot summer days plus give you privacy and as you did such a great job it’s an option as well for now until you can build a permanent shop 😊
That’s not a bad idea
Hey Crandell .... spray WD-40 inside a pool noddle and put the noddle over the rake handle. It will make it thicker and you won't get blisters
Everything is looking fantastic 💕🙏
We had a heavy frost last night and are going to have another one tonight. We can't start planting ANYTHING until Memorial Day. Our Lillies, Resberries and Lilacs are coming along nicely though (also Tulups and Daffodils). They don't die in the heavy frost. Berries are a pain in the neck because they're are full of prickly thistles!!! But I love them just for daily picking and eating. It's only a 3-4 week window though. Great Video 👍. Western Upstate NY Here ❤
Those sprouts should grow. Just leave them on the napkin and plant napkin and all. Very little soil on top.
Great job Crandall. Gardening tips: If you can buy green onions (spring onions) or chives with roots attached, you can also put them in a jar or water and they will keep growing. When your lettuce (or cabbage) starts growing, just pick some leaves from the heads - do not remove the plant and it will continue to regenerate. If you remove the very outer layer of a strawberry (which contains the seeds) you can lay it on some soil, cover with about 1/4" of dirt, water lightly and place an upside down clear plastic cup on top to create a mini greenhouse effect and it will grow.
You can put the paper towel in the dirt. They can get planted now.
Plant the Cilantro Marci, I bet it grows , it’s never a fail but a learning opportunity
White paper towels are marked not food safe and try brown brown paper towels.
I do the same with green scallions, last for months will lose the green color from lack of nutrients but taste great can't get my celintro to root though
Spearmint has white blossoms, and Peppermint has purple blossoms.
Hey guys, I kind of lost track of my online . I'm so glad I found you all again. Great ideas.❤❤
Definitely you can plant your Cilantro 🌿 it will grow❤
Planting soil , black kow ( compost ) and peat moss equal amounts . Add some bone meal and blood meal . And you’re set
Turkey dinner sounds good! 🦃😋
Crandall and Marci, your greenhouse is looking sooooo awesome! I hate this weather thats coming! I'm going to do some gardening and plant sunflowers. Really enjoyed your video and can't wait to see it all finished. Love y'all and God Bless You!❤️❤️
Y’all remind me of the green acres . The farmer and city wife. Lol
Ice mint lemon tea. If you have an upset stomach. Eat the mint straight from the plant, (washed)
If you plant them together in same the flover will change
Marci, Google medicinal uses for spearmint. Its great for making a salve for muscle aches. Peppermint you can use for tooth aches and even migraines. Just dry the leaves and make a tea. Also great for anxiety. I know as productive you are even as a city girl you're gonna do amazing things. I'm 65 and been around a block or 2 and I'm impressed with you so much! Be Blessed. Also gardening like everything else is learned. Your doing amazing hang in there!😁
put the whole napkin in the pot with light soil on top of it
May I suggest you get a shade cloth if you haven't already, you'll definitely need it. Being here in Oklahoma, you can call Leon Sloan (Gardening With Leon) and order one to fit and his crew will throw it on the trailer to be picked up near Riverwind in Norman. They take orders and meet there every Friday afternoon for pick ups! Super great guy and company if you aren't familiar with them!
We love Leon! We haven’t got a shade cloth yet but plan to
Put the paper towel in the pot with seeds on it and cover with dirt and water!!
Great work❤ you are the hardest working couple❤
I used my soldering iron to poke holes in my plastic planters.
