This completely overhauled Mercedes-Benz Unimog U2450 (only 1 of 200 ever produced) has everything you could dream of. First off being a 6x6! Yes you heard that right, this insane Unimog is a 6x6. Then kitted from top to bottom in nothing but the highest quality accessories and utilities all designed and fabricated by our team. With a complete crane built in and top-notch performance, this thing is a beast!
Unfortunately, this MOG is off to its new owner, but we have another crazy build on its way!

Looks awesome. I was one of the designers at MBAu when the Army bought their first 55 MRV’s and was responsible for a fair amount of the localisation work before the body got mounted including the crazy fuel tank mounted fold out work platform. Working with the defence forces is a special kind of challenge…. They were amazing machines, good to see them getting a second life👍

Imo the greatest off-road vehicle in the world, the only MB worth buying and well worth the money if you can afford one. A Sherp would be cool to have if they were street legal. A cheaper alternative to the unimog would be a Volvo C300

Your work and engineering is next level. I look at every detail and thought with awe, love your work. I believe I speak for many people when I say that we would all like to see and learn more about the mechanical sides of your builds - how much power do your upgrades yield (wheel torque and kw)? How well do they perform on road vs off road (6x6 vs 4x4 for example)? What are the tyre specs? What have you done with the suspension systems (what is the load capacity, which options provide what levels of off road performance, how much articulation can one expect, ect.). It feels like a lot of key information is hidden from us for some reason, whether that be intentional for IP reasons, or unintentional. What I believe is being lost is the fact that a LOT of people are considering buying or building one of these in the future and if this information was more openly transparent from Unidan it would solidify the Unidan brand as the preeminent business to buy all of the gear required to build a dream expedition vehicle. People, including myself obviously, nerd out hard on this stuff. I would die to see longer form content diving deep into your builds. Yes definitely! Even with the dual cab and the crane, you can still fit a 4600mm expedition body on the back 🙌🏼

@@lesinberlin I think with single cab and no crane that's about 5ft free space unidan says with double cab and crane you can fit 15ft so with 5ft added you must get at least 18ft

They are new tyres vs older builds ... I wonder how this rig stacks up to the Zetros in 6x6 trim ? I always think the Zetros is the big brother of all Unimogs , correct me if I am wrong ... Anyways all ur builds are stellar and yes I will come and buy one( 'one' being a '5023 mog' most probably ) soon.... have already been to ur workshop in 2022 and was thankful for the test drive in ur last grey 5023. Thanks for wetting my appetite for such overlanding beasts. Appreciated all the time you did spend and it was not wasted. 🙂
That’s a good question about 6x6 Mog vs. 6x6 Zetros, hopefully someone internationally will be able to put them to the test and video it for everyone to see but this isn’t something that we will be able to test here in Australia as there aren’t any 6x6 Zetros’ here. The 4x4 Unimog vs. Zetros is definitely in favour to the Unimog being the superior off-road vehicle. We look forward to getting you into a U5023!

What length of living unit can you put on a 6x6 flatbed?
In this vehicle with the dual cab and crane, approx 5000mm. On a single cab with no crane it would be closer to 7000mm.

He’s a fitter and turner, not a KZheadr and happy to not take on the “KZheadr” title. We’re getting more of our team to share the load of the social media stuff so Dan can just go and enjoy and create new cool items but considering this was the very first of this vehicle in the world, thought we’d give him the honours of introducing his toy 👍🏼
