Should you buy this in 2021?? || Corsair Harpoon Pro RGB Gaming Mouse Full Review
#Corsair#CorsairHarpoonPro#BudgetGamingMouse
Ok this may be an old mouse but it got rebooted in 2019 so I think it's worth a look since I have not seen a recent vid about this.
So how does this mouse stack up against current gaming mice in the market? Does it still have a place in 2021? Maybe...or maybe not...

these reviews are so detailed and thorough how haven't you blown up? yt algorithm is awful fam
thanks for the feedback. I dunno man. But I'm still happy that people still find my videos helpful :)
Outstanding review man, so concise and to the point. No blabbing around. You really know your stuff. Keep it up!!
Thank you so much! I really put a lot of effort in research and tests on all my reviews :)
This is one of the best and more detailed reviews I've ever seen. Thanks a lot.
Loved the video and your other mouse reviews. Keep them up and make more mouse reviews in the future :D
Thanks man! I'm trying my best to keep up..hopefully in the future I'll have more released at a much faster pace :)
@@KonzTech will look forward to that :)
i have this mouse for a long time and is pretty solid, fits perfect on my hand and is very light , the most important thing for a mouse is to be perfect fit for your hand otherwise is useless
lover the way you make video full of details
I adore everything about the shape.
It’s a great mouse been using it for 3 years now easy to grip and is very affordable 👍👍
Had this for over 1.5 years. Solid mouse, loved it so much. I'm now with the G402 now.
Same had this mouse in 2018-2020 then switched to Glourios Model O, its such a good cheap mouse, but Rival 3 is better
@@Vonxis Surprisingly, the Model O has the same price as the Harpoon here, lol.
@@DeadSkyWT nah boughet my harpoon for like £20 and my model O few months after release so it was like £60
@@Vonxis ah, Model O is 29.99 here, and so is the Harpoon Pro
What are the differenced between those mice's sensors? Any other suggestions b/w Viper mini vs corsair harpoon vs Logitech g402 Kindly share your experience!
This review is amazing , nice job
Wow thanks a lot!
this mouse is quite good, ive had it for a long time and its quite high quality, especially for how cheap it is. ive never used claw grip with it though, i use a weird palm-like grip, with which i put my middle finger on the scrollwheel, and its very comfortable to hold it like this. as you said it is indeed a bit outdated, but its pretty good anyways, i like it.
Good to know there are still folks that appreciate this. But yeah this is a pretty niche product in my opinion. But if it works for you then should be all good. Specs and build-wise, this is a great mouse so it's not so bad.
Bro, I'm looking for a new mouse for a hand grip like yours, so that's a good recommendation from you.
For me is the new g203 lol like the viper mini but for clawgrip of a corsair mouse
Great review! Thanks man.
You're welcome :)
These vids are so good how hasn't it blown up??????
Uhmmm I actually think they're doing quite well now. But thank you for the nice feedback :)
@@KonzTech hmmmm its descent but this should have 50-100k views.
This is EXACTLY the review I needed... other reviews don't say if the mouse spins out or not
Solid Review
Thank you :)
Wait a bloody minute

i've had mine for years now and its amazing not a fault and i recently thought about going wireless and getting a g503 but my harpoon is just as good really
There is a wireless Harpoon as well, which is what I am looking to buy next month
the OG Valorant lobby music in background 🥹😭
Amazing review! Grip issue helped me to choose Logitech g203 instead! Thank You so much!
You're welcome. Yeah the harpoon's shape is not something I would call safe. G203/G102 still has a more generic shape compared to this one. Oh and Razer viper mini too if you can get one for cheap(they're super cheap here in SEA..same price as G102)
@@KonzTech Well, bought g203 for a good price today and I am happy with build quality, ergonomics, size of the mouse, everything basically. Compared to Redragon Nemeanlion 2 mouse that I had, Logitech g203 has that feeling of good quality material and I could also tell that it is more precise, better sensor for sure, though cable could be better considering the brand. Sadly cannot afford Logitech keyboard, so my Genius keyboard feels like a toy compared to this mouse hahahaha😅
Good on you. There are a lot of decent budget keyboards out there aside from the known brands like Logitech, Asus and Corsair. Royal Kludge, Akko, and Tecware keyboards are slowly taking over the budget keyboard scene
i have mine since 3 years, today the wheel was acting weird, so i cleaned with those electronics spry cleaners and now its ok, i didnt had to un-screw it even..
i actually recommend it because it feels so comfortable and no problems at all with this mouse the design is really good so is the dpi and side buttons id recommend this because this is a good mouse
until it starts double clicking xd
@@user-wm1ln5vc2y the double clicking is a nightmare, i've had to return two because of double click problems after a couple of days
Does it have a high "hump" ? I have a claw/palm hybrid so I prefer that.
2 years later... One very good, succinct review. And I fully agree with your evaluation of this mouse .
great video as always
thank you :)
after 2 years mine now randomly disconnects and reconnects if the wire isn't sitting at a particular angle.
Is this a review or an AMSR vid
Great video and breakdown. Thanks.
Thank you!
Is 220ips enough for games like Warzone and Battlefield ?
i have 2, for 2 computers. On 1 computer I use for internet and stuff and therefor I use it a lot the mouse is already done. It still works but the left mouse button seems to sag. Not sure how to describe it. I put my finger on the left mouse button and you feel it go down a bit just by the weight of my finger and you hear (and feel) a click sound. But it is not the "mouse click". If I press it down then you will get the real mouse click, so the mouse still works but it is really annoying when you put your finger on the mouse button and it already goes down a bit just by the weight of your finger. I read more reports on this also with more expensive Corsair mouse/mice. So that sucks because I also own 2 Corsair keyboards and I like the RBG colors since I can match the color of the mouse with the keyboard for each computer. But i never had this with far cheaper Logitech mouse/mice. So I am reluctant to buy another 1
yeah wanted it
Right now I have Razer Abyss v2. I was looking at getting this because of the two side buttons but I'm not sure. It's £30 in the shop.
Just get it, what are you loosing xd I'm getting it too cuz I'm hella broke
you can get it for £20
i have this mouse, does anyone experience problems with the right click? had it a few years and when playing fps games it always always out
its good for drag clikcing, but for me the clicks dont register.
I cannot get this thing out of BIOS mode without it going into this "sleep" mode. the colors glow but the mouse doesnt work, what should i do.
Does this mouse work for ps5??
Got it
damn you include LOD too, that's help me a lot
Good to hear. I'm very particular with details. Though my first few reviews were not so detailed...I managed to develop this kind of flow for most of my reviews.
Does anyone know all the dpi for each colors?
Did you have any issues with the side buttons where your thumb rest?
not really but the entire grip for me feels off since I don't really claw. It feels weird to fingertip grip this mouse
@@KonzTech I’m asking because I bought one one and the side buttons don’t work gonna return if
yeah that's likely faulty if it doesn't work at all. Just return it.
Side grip is rubberised if im right. Its mentioned on the official website too?
uhmmm yeah from what I understand it should. But the copies here in SEA are different. They kindda feel like rubber though but they're not.
@@KonzTech noted!!! 👍🏻
I have been using tris mouse for 4 years and it’s really god
I wonder whats better, the viper mini or this mouse?
Viper mini in many aspects..neutral shape, lighter, better switches and cable
This mouse more comfortable because the grip surface and that is matter.
I love the mouse, but every one says that Corsair is trash is that true?
I might sell my Logitech g5 as I’ve not used it since I swapped to this mouse
it double clicks contantly and corsair support can not help. they always say wait for next update. Corsair seems to not care that there mouse double clicks 80% of the time.
Okay once I hear that background music I had to watch the entire video 😂😂
hahaha thank you xD
Bro can we drag click through the mouse btw nice video
I dunno bro. I don't really do that nor know the proper technique
its 17.54$ here on sale but i guess that horrible cheapo wire and scroll wheel is kind of deal breaker. I bought g102 2 weeks ago for 20.8$ and when i saw this one on sale i thought well shit i should have waited. After this review i think g102 is better. Its wire feels like is not even there when moving the mouse.
True. G102 is waaay better. The Harpoon is more like a niche product..you get it for the shape. Then again...it's not a shape that I think would work for most people...
@@KonzTech yeah, g102 has kind of safe shape which most people can easily get into.
What mouse would you recommend for 30 USD if not the harpoon pro, since you are not satisfied with it?
I prefer the G102 and viper mini since they have a more generic safe and better cables. Viper mini is probably hands down one of the best budget gaming mouse right now since it's super light, small, has decent enough specs and build..it also has better cables and use PTFE skates which glide way better than standard teflon
@@KonzTech Sadly viper mini is double the amount of the harpoon pro in my country, and i have heard that after a few months the g102 starts double clicking.
yeah I know the g102's plagued with double clicking issues. From my own experience having mained that mouse from time to time since last year...it's still ok. Mice tend to double click anyway regardless of brand as time passes so I don't really look into those when buying one. I focus more on the shape and weight since ultimately..it dictates my experience. Switches are fairly easy to replace too. Here in our country, there are techs that can replace your mouse switch with better quality ones like Kaihl or TTC for a cheap fee.
I recommend Steelseries Rival 3 cabled version.
I love mine..not gonna lie
My old mouse is everything opposite that is good on this mouse, the buttons shake, it feels very cheap, and on and on.
What do you think about comparing with the Aorus M2
I have not owned the Aorus M2. But from the pictures and specs, it looks like a lighter G102 that can be used left/right handed.
Would you buy this mouse or Logitech g402 ?
I'm not a fan of heavy mice but if weight is not an issue, I'd get the g402
are you sure these have omron switches?
Yeah even the specsheet says so..this is a copy from the SEA market though so I can't say it's the same from other regions
@@KonzTech ok
This one or katar pro?
I would prefer the Katar Pro since I think it has a more safer shape. Then again, ergo mice like these have a niche and can actually be good for others. I'd say if you're using claw grip and your hand size falls in the spectrum I've shown in the table then this might be a good fit.
How about this versus razer deathadder essential? since in my country the razer one has a slightly lower price than the harpoon. My hands are big so i wont be comfortable with logitech g102
I think the deathadder would suit your hand since it's large and has an ergo shape. Just by looking at it's shape, I think it suits palm/claw on large hands
Had this mouse for 4 years wouldn’t trade it for anything
HAD? Meaning you DID trade it 😁🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@deanykid or it probaly broke
Gotta say, your mouse is weird. Mine has rubber side grips, and doesn't make any noise from the wheel.
hmmmm..maybe yours is a different version? I'm from Asia and sometimes our region receives copies different from other countries
@@KonzTech Hmm, maybe. I bought mine from Germany.
@@KonzTech My have the same "issues".
man i hate to say this but im from your neighboring country and mine do get rubber side grip..and it is true sometimes they made differently from other part of the world..while we at it maybe in the future you can make video about how some brand cheap out on us from asian country..
as a minecraft gamer that has this mouse, i can guarantee the dpi button is too big and it makes me think i accidentally pressed it while in pvp (sometimes i actually did) which makes me concerned and makes me lose the fight
yeah it is big. Would've been better if it's just flush with the shell but it protrudes out so there's a good chance people will accidentally press it.
I need to buy a new hand..
It was working okay but after almost a year of use the left button had issues. Tried cleaning up the mouse but with no success. I am just concerned about durability of the harpoon.
Hmmm well I guess that's the curse of OMRON switches. You either get a good one or a flop. The mouse is durable for the most part. If the switches start failing then you can DIY to replace them or you can have a tech replace the switches with better ones for a cheap fee...that is if you really like the shape and feel of the mouse. Btw, Kaihl switches are one of the best ones out there.
@@KonzTech No one around here to support with the switch change though.
@@rainfeedermusic had the same problem, sent for RMA and the replaced it with the pro model .
Corsair harpoon pro or msi gm11 which is better brother
Sorry bro I haven't tried the MSI GM11 yet. But just by comparing their specs, the Harpoon Pro is waaay better.
@@KonzTech oh tqs bruh...bruh is harpoon rgb with 6000 dpi is sufficient or will there be any benifits with harpoon pro..wt should i buy
it depends if you want to game competitively. If yes, the Pro has better specs that may help you. But my suggestion is go with something like a viper mini since that one is much much better than the harpoon pro. But well, if you really like the shape of this mouse, by all means go for it.
Any recommendations for $30 mouse?
Razer viper mini is a good pick. Depending on where you're at, you can get it for as low as $25 usd. I got mine for $22 due to a sale
save 30 more dollars and get a glorious model o -
Logitech G102 or this?
I'd go with the G102
@@KonzTech Tysm
Is it better than red dragon m711
Spec and build-wise, the Harpoon is better. The Reddragon M711 seems to have a better shape..though I have not personally tried it..I'm just looking at the pictures xD
Ok does it need software to power up the Corsair
@@KonzTech can you review the m711 cobra and the tell me which is better
What are the 5 default DPI settings?????
red 200 blue 1200 goes up 200 each colour
i have that mouse
Valorant theme
its good for valorant bro ? or g102 is better ?
sensor performance..they are comparable..I just think the Harpoon's shape is something that is not made for everyone. G102 has a more generic shape. Thus, I think g102 is better if it's your first time buying a decent gaming mouse.
@@KonzTech oh tks bro
The budget gaming mouse we all deserve: kzhead.info/sun/ddGiqrqSj6iBjXk/bejne.html
buy the razer viper mini instead its cheaper and everything is better yes everything this mouse sucks
Dont buy this it has a click issue… you have to update firmware beside the ICUE software is difficult to install. I am regreting everyday
Dude I have this mouse and I am pluging it in my Xbox and it won’t work at all why won’t it fucking work???
Is it suitable for large hands?
depends on how large your hands are. Checkout the handsize table in the video and see if yours fit in there.
@@KonzTech My palm size is 18.5 cm
that should be fine. Claw or fingertip grip should be the most ideal grip for you on this mouse - claw being the best. If you really like the shape, then you can give this a go. I just can't really guarantee it being comfortable to other grip styles at that hand size.
maybe I should buy Corsair Harpoon Pro RGB in 2021!! xD
DONT, I OWN IT AND FOR ITS PRICE ITS HORRIBLE, JUST BUY A USED RAZER OR LOGITECH G MOUSE
Yeah it just doesn't really match up with budget gaming mice in its price range..if only you love the shape then buy it.
@@thepyro7845 hi! I just bought this one and notice that first side button has slight wobble which is annoying a lot! Could you please tell do you have the same issue? The second button is perfect btw.
@@pavelivakin3735 i have had the issue, a fix is opening it up and adding stabilizers, as the default ones by corsair dont help much. that is a bit difficult though, so i would recommend returning it for a different one of it as not all have that issue.
@@thepyro7845 thank for the answer! Sounds complicated assuming it is still on warranty :). Gonna return it back and try to find another model for my self. Have a good day.
Clicks are deafening of this mouse, not worth it for me
bought it in 2023
i have that mouse and it sucks
I hate it
No, absolutely not. Its trash.
