  • I love my S24U. Have had it now a couple of months and am amazed by it. Sound and photo/video quality is super. Processing speed is impressive. Modes & routines is a powerful feature...when I leave home, turn on bluetooth. When I return home, auto connect to my WiFi and turn off bluetooth. Quick share is indispensable. I'll take me a long time to get to where I'm using the phone to it's full potential. Great video as usual, Daniel!

I like what you just said about ai. I need to dig into that a little bit more. I've had my phone since February and I absolutely love it. Takes amazing photos. I really appreciate your videos! • Thank you for video and sharing with your experience. I have been using Galaxy S24Ultra for just several days and I am happy to have as my phone. I like making notes and I can say that I am a notist, a person who uses the stylus. But now I want to learn how to take best picturres on the phone that's why I watch your videos with great inspiration.

  • Great long term review, thank you. Loving the phone too. Some things I've noticed over time too, having purchased it during the pre order period... The auto screen dimming being hit and miss, not heat related however. I could feel heat from the phone in my first couple of weeks of ownership but not after that. Google Meet however can reliably turn my phone very warm, especially with portrait mode active during a call. The other thing I've noticed is the focus of people being hit and miss when those people aren't side by side in the foreground. Not sure if I have some settings to fix, the nature of the main lens or the impending June camera update. One more thing is the fact it holds on to the mobile network when it should probably go to the alternative network I have on my phone. The phone otherwise has been solid. Performance is solid. Battery life for me has been 7-8 hours of screen on time. I'm also not enjoying the anti reflective layer as much as others as I'm too clumsy not to have a glass screen protector. I can't find one to date that retains the anti reflective properties.

  • The KZhead app is the one making all S24 series to overheat and drain down the battery. Go and put it into deep sleep in the battery settings and then your phone will start running cooler at all times but you will not play KZhead with your screen off again if you are a premium user.

  • I love my new s24 ultra. While I do miss some parts of iPhone, I love the quality of it. The only problem for me is that there is slight grain on the display. It's more noticeable on black colours. Where and how would I be able to fix this, if you have experienced this before?

  • Good you mention the heating issue but what you didn't mention is how this can be caused by certain unoptimized apps for your phone. Unfortunately as I've discovered certain apps are just not optimized for your phone which is more common than most would like. Of course it's going to happen with an open platform with hundreds of thousands of apps not mention the one's that aren't even in the app store. That's what frustrates me when people try to compare Apple to Samsung. Apple is a tiny closed off ecosystem. Samsung/Android is an open huge platform. There really is no comparison. Much easier to have a closed off ecosystem that only has to work with your few devices. The good news is Samsung knows this and now with the seven years of updates it should improve.

  • I've had mine since they came out. And while overall I love the features of this phone, I have experienced multiple problems that I never experienced on my S23U. First, the phone keeps coming on in my pocket and making phone calls. Yes, I have security setup on the phone, so it shouldn't function without my finger print. But it does! It also deleted over 50% of my apps, without any direction from me. Still don't know how this happened, but it did. I've never experienced any of this on any other of my Samsung phones. Many times it also will NOT send a pic in a text or receive one. Again, never before... Most of the features work very well, and I have no complaints about anything other than what I've listed. But those are some seriously annoying things, and I am looking for fixes. Thanks to anyone who can point me to any. I still think it's the best phone on the market right now.

I keep the phone in my pocket all day and multiple times ill take it out to see the emergency call screen lit up with a bunch of numbers having been entered, screenshots of said screen (ive since turned off swipe to capture) and music skipping/play-pausing. @tupp2998@tupp29988 күн бұрын
    • I don't know what SOT is but the battery life is the only real downside to this phone I am experiencing. It's been 2 weeks for me. I tried max.battery protection (charging up to 80%) but then I need to charge it twice (in the morning and in the evening). For the night time I put it in a saving battery mode, I don't have background apps running (according to the phone report at least). I am using only 1 sim card (with 2 sim cards active, battery consumption is almost half of the time). I use it occasionally to send messages (like I don't know up to 10-30 a day). Maybe 1-2 short phone calls (a minute or two). I do not use camera on everyday basis. So basically it's in the stand by mode for the majority of time. And I use it for about 2 hours of screen time in IG, TikTok and/or browsing. I do have quite a few apps installed, but nothing out of ordinary. Still hoping the battery will improve, as some people promise (like, it needs time to learn how to optimise a battery for my usage). Throughout the night it consistently spends ~1-1.4% of charge per hour. @techwithbenefits, can you recommend anything here?

Second reason is that why should I buy a beautifuly designed phone with high quality materials with gorgeous screen and they hide it in case and put screen protector? The whole feeling is gone immediately when I do so. I completely loose that feeling of expensivness so why to buy such phones if you can't even feel that mate cold sides or glass back? It's one of key points of existence of such phones.

  • Man, I made a huge mistake buying the S24 Ultra. The Android Auto app is all messed up and it's driving me nuts as an Uber driver. I'm throwing in the towel and going back to my Note 20 5G. Samsung really dropped the ball on this one.

    • Me too, I'm going back to the S23 Ultra. The S24 Ultra is fantastic but they took away some gallery features which while may seem minor are important to me.

    • @@joshuam4993 1. Previously, the Gallery app in the S23 Ultra, gave the ability to run slideshows on auto-repeat. That feature was very helpful for my work. The Gallery slideshow now only runs once and requires us to manually click "rewatch", otherwise the slideshow remains halted which takes away the benefit of slideshow for me. I tried creating a movie of the images and play it on loop, but it is not the same and limiting :'( 2. Gallery used to help me combine images together to create one new image. And now, the same menu instead creates stickers of the images I want to place on the main images. I can't seem to figure out how to combine whole images anymore, not stickers (because stickers are just cut outs of a full image). I don't wish to create a collage because collage does not allow us to randomly place multiple images directly on top of a main image. Sometimes it is useful too for me to attach stickers to an image, but I still need the ability to place full images (which can be resized) on top of another image as well. I hope this makes sense, I apologize for my bad english. I guess if you know you know, maybe someone can help explain.
