    • Didn't Michael King do enough? The Padres lost because of their inability to score. In back to back innings, they hit into double plays. They had a lead off triple to start the 8th inning only to strand him at third. The worst part is Michael King got the loss after pitching a gem.

    • @@richr.7698 He did a great job. I guess I remember when a starter with a scoreless game would be allowed to throw until he requested to leave, or until it was clear he needed to be pulled. I know it's an "old" way of thinking, but I think they would have done better.

  • That’s a very good Brewer team that the Pad’s took 2 of 3 from. Nothing wrong with how the friar’s are playing right now. I don’t know about anyone else, but this feels different than last year. Melvin just never lit a fire under the team last year, and I see that Shildt has already. Just look at how those 2 youngsters slid into 3rd with their triples, got up and were all excited. Granted, neither one of them made it home, and King took the loss on his best outing yet, but the future is bright for this club. Go Padres!

  • Couldn't get the sweep, but That's still three straight series wins for the Padres over really good Teams. They definitely look a lot more confident and driven than last year. Excited to see what they can accomplish this season! -Dodgers Fan

  • Well, like I mention of the last comment from the other day Padre Win, 3rd games of a MLB team of having 2 wins ahead of the 3rd are always playing a style of being FLAT. If a team of the losing or behind the series of 2 out of 3 losses of avoiding the 3rd loss as , those teams ( teams who go O and 3 of a series ) usually are the worst or one of the worst in MLB unless the winning team of a series exposing their overall talent as the BEST or one of the best of having more sweeps with always winning 2 out of 3 as average. Just a tip for evaluation of your team by way of #s outside the Box Card stats. But, the Padres again, lol, came out flat on the No need to Win game of the last game vs the Brewers Believe their streak hitter got caught guarding a pitch moving away from the zone is what MLB pitching is all about, not easy to hit off, look at Bolgards, he showing he about to get sent back to the farm of his BA.

  • Peralta was erratic and unreliable last year. Why would they have any confidence in him in atight game. Managerial mistake wasted a great pitching performance.

    • Lo mismo digo yo. He visto q desde la temporada pasada a perdido juegos por no saber cuando debe actuar como lider de grupo. El año pasado tenían a unos de los mejores equipos en cuanto a bateo se habla, no tenían a los mejores pitcher relevistas, pero a pesar de eso tampoco es que son tan malos jugadores y aún así se dejó quitar demasiados juegos por no saber en qué momento actuar.

    • La administración de los padres a fracasado de nuevo. Es increíble lo que hacen teniendo a un buen pitcher dominando un buen juego y aún así lo saquen con dos out solo por tener un corredor en base. Ese manager con tan buen equipo q tenía la temporada pasada, se dejó quitar muchos juegos por no saber cuándo y dónde actuar como el lider del grupo. Mal contados te puedo decir que perdieron más de 35 juegos por culpa de ese manager. Lo malo de todo esto es que el juego lo pierde el pitcher. Si la organización de los padres se respetara desde la temporada pasada debieron de echar al manager y poner a otro q haga su trabajo porque este no a dado la talla, este se gana demasiado facil el dinero para no hacer nada por equipo de los padres
