BEST CHEAP GAMING MOUSE. PERIOD. - Corsair Harpoon
In the market for a cheap or budget oriented gaming mouse? It's hard to find a reason to look past Corsair's offering of the Harpoon RGB Gaming mouse. Complete with a Pixart PMW3320 Optical sensor with a DPI range of 250 to 6,000 , full RGB logo, lightweight form factor, and Corsair's signature build quality, the Harpoon is the best budget gaming mouse on the market.

I really enjoy the rich sound quality of your videos.☺ What lapel microphone are you using?
Honestly I thing the hirally f300 or the red dragon cobra is also good
Love your vids
Its weird how the world works, I was just looking through wootware for a new mouse, like 30 min back. For corair's part I hope this mouse sells well
Hoezit, im also from south africa, on wootware i dont know if i should get the Corsair Harpoon or the CoolerMaster SGB-3040-KKMF1-US MasterKeys Lite Keyboard & Mouse Gaming Combo?
If I were on a budget, I would save up and get the Corsair M65 RGB. Already have that mouse and it was the best mouse purchase I ever made.
I have a gigabyte m8000x Ghost mouse but the right click button is giving me problems. Will the Corsair harpoon be a good replacement?
I would suggest the picket gaming mouse or the hiralify f300 over it, because their rgb lighting is just as good, and they’re also cheaper. However great video!
In CSGO: lower your sensitivity a lot. Pros use 400dpi x 2.5 sensitivity. Your eDPI should be around 600-1600. Disable mouse acceleration and turn on raw mouse input
k?
Dusty Jello His sensitivity is too high to learn muscle memory for FPS.
s4ndw1ch Good point.
I play 600 dpi x 1.82 sens
N00Bs i say! All CS pros are n00000bs. 600-1609 dpi? Ha! I play on 3300
i was considering a cheap steelseries rgb mouse, now this is an option thank you , have a good day
+Apinity Glad it could be helpful! Either would be a good choice.
I would personally recommend the CM Mastermouse S (Not the lite). Rebeltech is getting it in stock 24 April and It'll cost around 550 bucks (In SA) or $30 in the USA. It's got a much better sensor than the harpoon, and rgb on the mousewheel and the bottom half at the back. Don't know how well it'll be built but for more serious fps gaming I'd recommend that over the harpoon. Personal preference though :)
What do you think about the Redragon brand?? Have seen it around in SA alot recently. Maybe a video would be awesome.
+Stefan Du Plessis Bro, I have the OG Redragon video in South Africa. Did a review on the Mammoth. Still my daily driver after 3 years, only due to hand size though. They're a good budget brand, but push lousy marketing of insanely high, unusable DPIs on laser sensors. They're a good enough product, but not anywhere near Corsair, Logitech, Steelseries, etc in terms of quality.
Awesome thanks man :) Keep up the good work. Love the videos.
I am gonna order this😍 loved this mouse
Great mouse, great sensor i recommend this because its quality and feature at the price range are too good and it is performing well for me in CSGO flick shots really got better and i dont sense any unwanted acceleration, i know there are better sensors in the market but they are at high price too at this price range a light weight good sensor mouse is totally worth it!! I have no plans of changing this mouse in near future. I hope the readers will find some insight through my experience thanks😁
I bought this mouse a week ago & i really love it.Great experience & more better than my old steelseries rival 100.I prefer this mouse for who are searching budget gaming mouse
Oh wow, i just did the same thing and was a bit sceptical about the corsair harpoon compared to the Rival 100. Are you sure the sensor is better than the rival?
is this nouse new? never heard of it. video liked
Nouse? Lmao. But yeah, haven't heard of this myself till recently.
I was able to snag this for $20 on NewEgg during a sale. Super happy!
+VanillaJ NICE!
How do i save the settings and then close the program?
Try out and review the non mainstream brand mice like James Donkey RS350, Redragon M711, Hiraliy F300, Motospeed V30 etc etc etc. All $17- $22 and all awesome.
Nice Vid! I don't know if you have already covered the following but this could make a nice series that could be very helpful, because I also tend to go the budget but decent route when it comes to peripherals :) ! BEST CHEAP MECHANICAL KEYBOARD (RGB), BEST CHEAP GAMING HEADSET (RGB) and SPEAKERS as well as BEST CHEAP HIGH REFRESH RATE GAMING MONITOR :)
How do I get new plastic sticky pads for the bottom of the mouse?
how about the g102 logitech? idk if its available in your country because its targeted at asian market
Awesome review man. I think this mouse is going to sell like hotcakes. Want to get my hands on one to try it out as well. Looks like a great budget mouse.
One year later in the mouse is still working perfectly fine.
Nice! Glad to hear it's working out for you!
@@UFDTech its one of the best 2 years and still running
EVERY time i start computer i have to select manually the DPI with upper mouse button....why i can't preset my setting in the ICUE software?! help please
Great review, that's a great mouse for the price. Just wish it could have had a braided cable.
+FoxBit Thanks! Braided cable would be cool, but cost cutting has to happen somewhere.
you live is SA REALLY sucks to be you......o wait i also live here.....fuck
Braided cables are more a hinderance than a benefit in my opinion. There are plenty of gaming mice out there with braided cables, but for a mouse, that really isn't necessary unless you plan on really beating the heck out of it. The thing is, the braid stiffens the cable and can weigh down the mouse more, causing drag, which could make you lose that competitive edge. I think braided cables are overrated and are associated with quality merely because people think it adds protection, even though in reality it isn't really needed. I will say though, if you like it for it's visual appeal, by all means, go ahead and buy it. This is my opinion. But with that said, hopefully this will provide insight into braided cables. If you already knew this, well then thanks for reading I guess lol.
I have the harpoon. While I desire the length/size of the mouse for my very abnormally small hands as a female, the clicks are just too sensitive for me. Like when I left click, sometimes there's a accidental right click. You hardly have to even tap the left and right clicks. That's my personal opinion though. I like ambidextrous mice though, so I am trying to look for one that is at least 4.5 inches length or under is also fine and ambidextrous.I recently order a different mouse around 4.6inches in length, might still be a little too big but it's better than nothing. I just found out it's permanently 125hz polling rate, so I don't know if that'll affect my gameplay like Ow or other fps games. Little sad about the 125hz default and there's no setting to change it but who knows. ;/
Sloppy wheel movement sucks! Can you suggest a mouse with firm notchy feel? I HATE the wimpy feel of Logitechs...it's like driving a car with too much electronic steering instead of hydraulics. Mu Corsair Sabre wheel broke on me so I am afraid of buying another so I now use a Gskill Ripsaws and it's so guud, but the wheel is still too light!
Perfect
Hey I love that mouse!!!
You live in South Africa???
Have you ever heard of the Logitech G203?
i'm using the harpoon rn. trust me, get this mouse
What Mousepad Does Perfectly Combines With This Gaming Mouse? (Sorry for my bed england)
I love this mouse
i live in SA lol any other mouses?
Lol I saw the price and knew it wasn’t any currency I’d seen so I guessed he lived in South Africa even though I didn’t know the currency there and I got it right yayyyyyyyyyy
i LOVE the harpoon. Its the best mouse I’ve come across.
:)
If there was rgb around it like a Razer mouse it would be so sick
the hiraliy f300 is a better mouse in my opinion it even has a braided cable and rgb's aswell
The logitech g102 progidy is better You should go for it
i prefer the Redragon Titanoboa 2 24000dpi its a really premium mouse and this is excellent for flicks its accurate
+X_xStriderx_X _ Not sure Redragon and premium belong in the same sentence together, but I'm sure it's a suitable mouse. Quick question though, how do you prefer the Titanboa, have you used both?
UFDisciple yea i was doubtable at first but its really awesome for the price the quality was much better than expected my friend has the harpoon even he prefers the Redragon the software is abit weird at first but its easy to get used to. its more comfortable for me looks decent and the optical sensor is awesome for awp flicks tracking is excellent also the option to add and remove weights helps me alot as i prefer a heavy mouse for csgo and lighter mouse for other games
UFDisciple also the Redragon has nice metal base giving it the "premium" feel and a braided cable with gold plated usb
+X_xStriderx_X _ I'm confused. The Redragon isn't optical. It has a laser sensor that's notorious for adding inconsistent acceleration. It's cool that you guys enjoy it, but no optical sensor is hitting anywhere near 16K DPI.
+X_xStriderx_X _ Fair enough, but what no one tells you is that the texture coating that they put on the mouse will begin to wear off after a year and looks pretty poor. "Looks premium" but they cut corners for sure.
I have thermaltake commander combo. The mouse is same. Aaand price is 30 dollars. Please note it's combo the keyboard is insane...
+Özgür Salman That mouse isn't the same at all. Under half the DPI and only a static color. That's great if it works for you, but they're definitely not the same.
UFDisciple My mistake looks same. To me Rgb is not important and 2400 cpi is enough. I'm just saying this combo is great value for the money. Also Corsair is my favourite brand :)
Is this good for pubg?
Hiraliy f300 is best budget mouse by far. Just because its not made by a big company doesnt mean its not good, its a €17 Razer mamba
I bought a 60 dollar corsair mouse, obviously I bought the m65 pro, pretty and has all the same qualities as this 20 dollar one - well, I think Harpoon doesn't have a braided cable where as the m65 does, the m65 also has easily removable weights. Honestly, to me a mouse is a mouse, so long as it's servicable, I will use it. 120 dollars or 12 dollars, doesn't much matter. I only went with the m65 cuz i'ts pretty and I like fps games.
If you think "a mouse is a mouse" why did you spend $60 on one? By your own logic, you can't think $60 is $20
which is better among corsair harpoon or logitech g102??
Yes.
G102 has a much better sensor.
First Name Last Name and a way safer shape
That too
Probably the G102/G203. The sensor is superior, it's lightweight, has rgb lighting and a good balance of build quality and actual hardware quality. Although there are no rubber sides and still no braid, it is a solid option.
Ummm hiraly f300? 18 dollars?
Cougar Minos X3 is a much better mouse for the same price. For a tiny bit more get the CoolerMaster MM520 or MM530. Corsair screwed up with the sensor on the Harpoon, your money is better spent elsewhere.
remove the period, put small hands, then reinsert the period after it
redragon mouse vs corsair harpoon!
Stuck between this and the steelseries 100.
hahaha
choose what feels better in your hands
Get this mouse and pair it with a redragon kumara 552 and boom budget gaming peripherals and a Logitech $40 headphone!
Logitech G102 has a better sensor for only a slightly higher price.
g203 prodigy is same price with better sensor
Ayy, should I get this mouse? I have 130 bucks to spend, but this mouse looks cool
I got a razer deathadder chroma instead.
Dusty Jello too much
Dusty Jello ew a deathadder
Honestly I like weighted mouses better this one I light tbh
Proud to own one.
Yes the lowest is 250.
G102
Logitech pro gaming mose
why is everyone against rgb?
+toot1231 I don't think it's that everyone is against what RGB actually IS, but rather companies incessant use of it to say they've "upgraded" their previous models or to use it as an excuse to charge significantly more. It's been an overused marketing tool lately. RGB by itself looks good though.
And why is everone with the rgb?
i do not like this mouse hurts my pinky finger when i hold it on the right side
It's 20 USD in the US??? It's 30 EUR over here. That's almost 36 USD at the current exchange rate... What the hell? That alone is reason enough to not buy it.
xBris it was on sale when he got it it’s usualy $30
Saleeeeee
hi
+Xhivo Hello.
zelotes costs 8€
Pretty crazy how people care more about colored lights than the actual performance of it, harpoons sensor is actual garbage, I used this mouse for 2 weeks and returned it, if you flick too hard it'll spin out and shoot ur crosshair up and down. It's really bad.
Why does he live in South Africa
The Orange MG because ppl do live there idk
Finna wake up to a whole cityfull of african people sleepin in your house.. jk dont kill me.
Big hands.. so you have..
Big gloves, yes.
Haha, if you only play on the other side.. so hot.
Haha. While you're down there.
Needs to be MUCH larger ! I bought it and it is so tiny i will resell it. its for children hands. I couldnt believe a gaming mouse could be so uncomfortable! Go for a serious gaming mouse. Companies like Razer and Corsair cant make decent stuff at that prices. They are deemed to be plastic flimsy crap. Not that their expensie stuff are good to go XD. Stay away from those 2 big companies.
This speed are great HAHAHAHA
Not enough RGB :P
+pointshit Go buy some LED strips with all that cash you saved on the mouse.
It would be really uncomfortable to hold the mouse after I put the LED strips on it.
You're supposed to wrap it around the cable.
UFDisciple best idea ever. Will try it now
The sensor is terrible on this mouse from what I saw from rocket jump ninja, stay away from the Corsair harpoon
ABIRxp Overwatch & LoL I bought the harpoon & Logitech G203, and harpoons sensor is horrible compared to the G203
I’ve had it more than 6 months and I played 5 hours straight on csgo and every month or 2 my mouse can freeze for 5-10 min other than that it’s not that bad
No the G102 is.
+Deinien Bro, where you buying a G102 for $20? It's literally double the price of the Harpoon atm.
ehhm, even tho its double the price, it's still very very very cheap for what you are getting. It feels like a GPRO with a non-braided cable and a sensor with half the dpi. Nobody uses 16000 dpi after all so that's useless. I've watched tons of reviews of it and i have it myself, and no matter how fast my movements are, it doesnt spin out. If you use 800 dpi with both mice and try to find the difference in tracking and in overall gaming, you will experience no difference.
my dude why you in africa?
This mouse is sexy, good looking, comfortable, performs well and is VERY cheap. it's perfect.
Not perfect. Like he said, the sensor is not that great/
Default Profile Picture “Thankfully, Corsair has included a decent optical sensor..”, he didn’t say it’s not that great
its not cheap
+Yiğit Dağhan $20 isn't cheap?
Ne malsin onlara göre çok ucuz
League of Legends ayyy 😂

wait south africa. lol
