I had the Wired version of the Harpoon since 2017. Its still holding up well with no noticeable changes in the tracking click of the buttons or the wheel. The two small things to note is the DPI button can be activated by accident a bit too easily, and the rubber grips on the side of the mouse have degraded quite badly, they have worn down to the plastic on the pinky side and are almost worn out on the thumb side as well, it is almost 4 years old now though so not too bad.
Same here! I've bought mine in 2017 and been loving it ever since. Thinking of re-buying the harpoon due to the rubber grip degrading.
Thank you so much for this comparison!
You're welcome!
Thanks for the very informative video!
You're welcome!
And someone with big hands, thanks mate
Thanks for this great video Jordan! It helped me a lot :)
You're welcome!
I've been using the wireless harpoon since dec 2020 and it's pretty good, I just don't like the cable pretty stiff even if you compare it to a cheap mice. I normally use it wired while working and then switch to wireless in the afternoon and evening when gaming. However after months of no issue, currently having a quick disconnection and reconnection issue while on wireless mode. But I found that it's only happening on my main pc, tried it on 2 other pc and a laptop, works just fine(so drivers or usb controller maybe). By the way, I also tested using bluetooth for gaming and it seems to work just the same as using the dongle, I did not experienced any delay.
Was a few minutes into the video & when I saw the Harpoon was an internal rechargeable battery, I made my decision right there & then. I closed the tab but came back to give it a like & comment. =D
Awesome, thanks :)
I bought Katar wireless and got double click after a month of normal usage. I read elsewhere that these omicron switches corsair uses are pretty defective also in harpoon...
Full send 🔥🔥
hi, i have a problem with my harpoon wireless and i need to know if i can return it or semthing, the thing is that when i'm playing in the wireless mode the mouse starts to fail and i cant move mi sight, it just get stuck for quite a while and i tried eevrything that i can think of i need help so if anyone know whats wrong i apreciate it a lot also sorry for the bad english it's not my first language
I want to know more about the slipstream tech of Corsair, does this mean that the mouse just needs 1 dongle (e.g. headset dongle) to connect both headset and mouse?
As far as I know, it's one device per dongle as it's a higher bandwidth. I don't think it could run multiple devices on one dongle like Logitech's with their Unifying receiver. But on the other hand, Unifying is for standard devices and not gaming peripherals anyway.
Thanks !
You're welcome!
I though the harpoon has 1ms latency over wifi and wired mode,, only on Bluetooth does it have 8ms,,, which is still pretty good,, I played metro Last light using it over Bluetooth, and didn't encounter any latency issues.
Does the Katar have the rubber grips on the sides?
Not rubber no, but texture on the plastic
Those are 2 corsair mouse I've had but the Katarina is my mice right now
Does the Katar have rubber grips on the sides?
Sr. I appreciate your dedication to make this video, but I was very confused by the fact that you moved the mouse so much and made a mistake when referring to each other's names. Some references, especially those of the rechargeable part, confused me a lot, even so, I appreciate your comparison.
Yeah, it was a bit confusing, sorry. I had a lot to try and remember and it got a little muddled.
When I bought the kayaks I thought the rgb would stay on but it only lights up when you press dpi
As I said on your other comment, it's to save battery as it's not rechargeable.
@@jordanash oh thanks
@@jordanash is there a way thoug?
I don't think so
I like to hear this man speak
Why thank you
He has got hard British Accent but understandable.
En resumen, el harpoon rgb es mejor Pero si quieres informacion mas detallada pues te recomiendo verlo completo como por ejemplo los milisegundos de respuesta y eso
Exactamente, solo quería dar una idea general para aquellos que no estaban seguros.
can the katara drag?
dont get a drag clicking mouse for minecraft
its just waste of money, it didn't help me at all
i was confused on your 2 boxes
How so? I will clarify for you
i mean if youre gonna use the harpoon wireless as wired, just pay like 20 dollars less and get the wired lol
Well yeah, but the video for people that would be choosing a mouse for primarily wireless use.
well it's giving me the option he is just stating the fact...like when I am doing work with it I can use it wired but while gaming I use it as wireless
Thank you very much, very-overly-British man.
Haha, you're welcome
Also is the rgb customisable on the harpoon? Nvm just saw the part where you mention that
