Funny how there is no mention of the car just that it was electric. Maybe the father wasn't intentionally speeding. Rather something happened and the car malfunctioned. Lazy reporting.

They were driving an electric car made by Vinfast. Something tell me the car malfunction, lost control, and sped up straight into the tree. I'm betting if he was driving a regular vehicle, they would still be alive.

Funny how this news report didn't mention the EV brand. If it was a Tesla, that would have been the first thing out of the reporter's mouth, then next thing would be speculating about the batteries and how Teslas 'explode all the time.'

It’s been happening in Vietnam: drivers got burned to death but the suicide letter on passengers side was untouched by the fire, or drivers got drunk,ect… and if you post the problem with Vinfake car on the Internet,the polices will gave you many “lessons” to zipped up your mouth.

Driven many times on Foothill Road speed limit of 30-35 mph, and a lot of stop signs. less chance to speed
Yeah they in an electric car they should be extra careful. It isn’t the car that crashed. All over the bay people speeding and crashing or hitting others. Once you leave the highway the local police are responsible so no one does anything. Lazy ass cops.
So many pedestrians have been hit recently also.

EV vinfast is the one very bad among any car you have seen. Don't buy or lease. Products from communist so terrible.
The brakes would also have to had malfunction, which wouldn’t be dependent on the the the electrical system.

This news report has informed you of nothing but the identity of the victims. I hope that when the loved ones arrive from India they demand some answers.
There are many incidents vinfast cars losing power steering control and electronic failures. Be aware
They sent updates for the cars. Issues were fixed.

I’d rather drive an old 1993 Corolla than a Vietnamese or Chinese EV.
I sold my first car - an old 1994 Corolla - Made in Canada, for 500 CAD to my postman. He said his daughter was very happy with the car.

It's really hard to imagine how they could get crushed in Pleasanton as the road is pretty good here.
Could have easily been mechanical error with those EV's. Electronic throttle is scary. You just hope and pray it never malfunctions. Could have just been plain ole speed. Much harder to believe a Father would be reckless driving at night with his entire life force in the car with him. I almost refuse to believe that😔
