Honestly I love the consistent use of Ghibli movie tracks in this video, Drangleic, gives me a darker version of the vibes that ghibli does in a lot of their soft post-apocalyptic settings. Obviously there aren't any ravenous undead or anything *usually* so blatantly violent or dangerous, but a lot of the locations in DS2 have a sense of stillness to them that the other games kinda lack in my mind. People living out their existence despite the curse slowly and inevitably making them eventually go hollow. It's a very somber idea compared to the rest of the series and I really like that you kinda highlighted that, intentionally or not.

Everybody out here talking about how he's crazy creative and good at the games but my god can we talk about this man's choice of music for a second?! Every. Single. Video. has an absolutely flawless list of tracks. It's at the point where I'm not even sure how he's able to pick his music so well, seeing as some of the tracks he uses have like less than 10k clicks.

Its like Hollow Knight without the Focus/heal ability: At first I was like: Sure, not that special! Pleanty of speedrunners do no heal runs no big de- Wait a minute!! No Focus = No dreamers = No HK fight = No base game ending Only possible ending is God Home ending = Boss rush with 40 bosses = Defeat all 40 bosses (including optional ones) in the game first!! Funny how a simple rule change can make such a difference in a game's run.

I didn't have glitches or anything at all, for me it felt more stable than Dark Souls Remastered. But then again I played the Sotfs version in 2020, not the original.

This the by far the best Dark Souls 2 video on KZhead, I've seen it like 5 time and still enjoy it.
I like how considering the lore of DS2, there is canonically a legendary undead who had social anxiety so severe, that instead of coming out of his shell and trying to talk to people for the good of humanity, he just killed or completely ignored them out of sheer terror at the thought of conversation.
