Why does a supposed x-44 matter to anyone? It can be no more than a footnote in fighter development. Real NGAD prototypes have been flying for 2-3 years now, according to the Air Force.

If Russia can't afford to build T-14s or their Su-57. Both of which are lackluster designs that were used to suck money from their military. Still reverse engineering the craft we have on hand to the understanding of our current understanding of perhaps thousands of years into the future works. We do not have the mental technology or the material technology to develop such devices in which to have a breakthrough or an advantage. There may come a day in the future, but in the meantime, we will still rub two materials in order to generate heat.
