Welcome to our channel where we cover the latest news and events in the world of tennis. In this video, we're going to discuss the intense rivalry between two top-ranked players, Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev, who faced off in the third round of the Monte Carlo Masters, and go through all of the turning points and big moments, both on court and off court in this amazing match.
The match between these two behemoths was nothing short of a thrilling contest. It was a battle of nerves, skills, and willpower that lasted for over three hours. Daniil Medvedev, who is known for his unorthodox playing style and fierce determination, was up against Alexander Zverev, a young and promising tennis star with a powerful serve and aggressive playing style.
The match started with Zverev taking control early on, winning the first set 6-3. Medvedev fought back hard in the second set, but Zverev served for the match at 5-4, putting the pressure on the Russian. However, Medvedev saved two match points to win the set 7-5, showing remarkable grit and resilience.
The third set was a nail-biting affair, with both players refusing to give an inch. The set went to a tiebreak, where Medvedev once again showed his mental strength, winning the tiebreak 9-7, and the match 3-6, 7-5, 7-6, after saving two match points including one on Zverev's serve.
After the match, tensions were high as Zverev made some controversial comments about Medvedev's playing style. Zverev claimed that Medvedev is one of the most unfair players in the world, and that he has no respect for him. Medvedev, in turn, fired back, telling Zverev to look at himself in the mirror and focus on himself.
It's not clear what exactly sparked the bad blood between these two players, but it's clear that there is no love lost between them. Both players have a history of heated exchanges on and off the court, and this match only added fuel to the fire.
In this video, we'll take a closer look at the match and the events leading up to and after it. We'll analyze the players' performances, the key moments of the match, and the post-match drama between Medvedev and Zverev. We'll also examine the history of their rivalry and speculate on what the future holds for these two talented players.

  • Medvedev is regarded as an inflammatory character, but in reality he's nothing of the sort. He's got an ego and swagger, and won't back out of a fight or a cheeky comment. But there's a logic to his reactions and he is always the first to apologise when he is unfair. Tsitsipas and Zverev are spoilt sore losers. Their general behaviour and attitude is massively substandard. Tsitsipas is a bit out there anyway, do you have to take everything he says with a pinch of salt. Zverev is just a primadonna...a toddler that throws his toys out of the pram whenever things don't go his way. Alcaraz and Sinner are genuinely good guys (Alcaraz won't take crap from people either), much like Diego...and Medvedev was spot on to use him as an example.

    • Good Lord, you are not making sense. He absolutely IS an inflammatory person. He's also intelligent, funny, and gifted. But he is definitely inflammatory. Apologizing for being problematic does not excuse certain behaviors.

  • Medvedev handled it well. If you look at the facts, it's mainly and definitely because Zverev was SO CLOSE to win the match (that he ended up losing) that he was so angry at the end. I think everybody who has played Tennis can relate to Zverev's behavior in that situation. For some reasons, when you think a match belongs to YOU, because you were "close" to win(whatever that means), if during that match, because of the tension and the nerves and all that some "incident" happen, if you end up losing, you almost take that as an injustice... That's frustration right there ! And you resort to some BS stuff like complaining about meaningless things which did not have any effect on the result to swallow your defeat... Because taking a defeat like that, is tough for any man, you must be strong ! It's really weird but I understand why on the heat of the moment Zverev said those stupid things. He was not able to cope with the pain of the defeat, so he put that on Medvedev's back. Instead of taking his responsibilities, he had match points that he could not convert, he blamed Medvedev... But what has Medvedev done ? He removed a stick => No effect whatsoever on the match He went to the toilet and came back on time => no effect on the match and the best proof is that he got broken following that He silent the public => well statistically when the public bothers you, it should affect you and not your opponent :) So... morality => Zverev should have cooled down a bit before going to the PC. :)

    • Funny how even the players talk about multiple opinions but everyone around here is telling „the only truth“! He even said that he is unfair sometimes and that this is also a personal thing. Why not leave it like that: yes he made some weird moves and the other one saw this as unfairplay. Zverev criticiced him (and for me as a viewer it was great that he did it infornt of a camera) and he took it personally. There is no right or wrong here i guess.

  • Medvedev should’ve gotten warning for the net post thing but I understand he was frustrated with his double fault. Unfair? No. Just frustrated. monte carlo should’ve upgraded their net so that the main post can be moved around for singles and doubles. I think messing with your opponent tempo and momentum should be strategy in tennis as long as it’s not too obvious like tsitsipas.

  • The media and rowdy fans are inflaming a competitive situation between two good players. Did the same media ask questions to Rafa when he took a toilet break in Wimbledon as Roger was starting to serve for the set? Rafa systematically cheated using medical time outs pretending to be injured and taking 12 minute breaks and coming back and running around like a rabbit and suddenly all injuries vanish. If inspite of his gamesmanship he doesn't win he takes the gloss away from the winner by only talking about his fake injuries. Rafa was always injured while losing. The media never asked any questions to Rafa why the toilet break at a crucial time? Why the MTO? WHY THE MEDICAL EXEMPTION TO USE BANNED SUBSTANCES UNDER THE PRETEXT OF TREATING INJURIES? The media just wants to stir the shyte up because it's Medvedev Vs zverev. Both are good players and both are high calibre players. They don't joke around or clown around like Rublev so obviously the fans prefer Rublev better and Medvedev is booed and heckled for what? Why this hate towards Medvedev and Zverev? Both are super competitive yet genuine players. They are not cheats like Rafa neitherndo they have the paid media twisted around their little fingers. Hence the hate

  • Just watched the Netflix episode and it suuuuure AF makes Meddy look like a pretty major douche. He did a half-dozen obvious 'bullshit Russian' gamesmanship acts - the netpole, the potty break, delaying the match on Zverev serves, and others. Don't get me wrong. I love meddy and i do not give AF about any of this, the more drama the better AFAIAC. I assume netflix produced the episode to amp up the meddy shenanigans but still...pretty obviously he goes full on bullshit russian on Zverev.

  • Sasha is an amazing young man. Let's be honest. I love Medvedev, but he is one of the rudest, short tempered players out there. Which can be fun if it is not directed at the player. Sasha was pissed I don't blame him!! Medvedev went too far as he has many times. But it's his life and Sasha's to play tennis. There's no need for a gentleman's game to turn into this. I hope they can make up it's a competition, not a game for hate. TSITSIPAS has never gotten ALONG with Medvedev because Medvedev can't stand TSITSIPAS. So don't pick on these men. It's a hard job to stay calm nowdays in tennis. Rafa being my God of Tennis never has disliked anyone. CALM DOWN PEOPLE WE ALL NEED EACH OTHER SO MUCH. THOSE ARE MY FOUR FAVORITE PLAYERS AND THIS IS NOT HOW IT SHOULD BE. MEDVEDEV WAS WRONG. SO WOULDN'T IT BE BETTER TO CONTROL THE INMATURE SIDE OF HIM. 🌹🌹🌹👍
