HOW TO Evolve Haunter, Kadabra, Machoke and Graveler into Gengar, Alakazam, Machamp and Golem in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. In this video I go over all the steps you need to follow to make any of these trade evolutions evolve.
HOW TO Trade - Information
When you want to trade Pokemon for the first time, you need to make it to at least past the first Pokemon Gym so that you can go down to the floor below any Pokemon Center. The first time you go downstairs in the Pokemon Center you will unlock the Y-COMM like feature in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl, so that you can Press Y on your controller almost anywhere in Sinnoh, so long you are outside, to open the Union Room feature.
When you open the Union Room feature by pressing Y on your controller, you are given two options. You can either choose to open a Local Room, in which case you can only trade with other players who are sitting in the exact same physical room as you (your living room or kitchen for example). You can also choose to open a Global Room, in this case you can only make use of this feature if you have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription active. You can click on the red Nintendo Switch Online button on your Home menu in order to go through with the subscription.
When you trade using a Global Room you will need to set a Link Code in order to connect with your trade partner. You will need to type in the exact same number as your Link Code, which is a number of your choice, in order to get connected.
Once you are connected with your trade partner, you may start trading by pressing Y on your controller and choosing to "Call". You then need to choose "Trade". After this a symbol will appear above your head and your trade partner will be able to walk over to you and Press A to ask you to trade.
You can then choose a Pokemon from your PC box to trade to your friend. If you want to change held items on your Pokemon before you trade, you will have to do this outside of the Union Room beforehand.
If you have Nintendo Switch Online, but need a trade partner, you may consider becoming a KZhead Member of this KZhead channel, and to join the Nirtheart Discord server. When you want to Evolve your Trade Evolutions, you simply have to trade your Pokemon to someone else and it will evolve. You can then trade the Pokemon back to you and you will have an evolved Pokemon. You do not have to trade Haunter, Kadabra, Machoke or Graveler for any partiular Pokemon in order for them to evolve into Gengar, Alakazam, Machamp or Golem. You simply need to trade them and that is the only requirement. Make sure that your Graveler DOES NOT have the Everstone as its held item, as it will prevent it from evolving.

Well..I tried this and I got misty. I traded my lv30 haunter and the Japanese player didn’t give him back. I got a lv19 psyduck. I put him in the box. Officially my first Pokémon in storage. I first craft a team than go catching on mass. I always found gengar exotic. On ds Pokémon games I started rocking him out since it was finally easy to evolve him.

Is there any difference if the Pokémon evolves when you send it to your friend and when it gets sent back to you? I can’t remember bc I haven’t played since gen 5 these remakes got me back into Pokémon
All the Pokemon in this video evolve when they are traded. Once they are traded, nothing changes and you can sent the Pokemon back and forth as many times as you want

If you don't have a switch online, send ur mon to ur home boxes and then send it to legends arceus. Buy a linking cord for merit points and evolve it there, then send it back 👍

It might be a long shot but it's worth trying. I recently bought a Nintendo switch with pokemon brilliant diamond for old times sake. I'm truly enjoying the game again so far! But I noticed that in time it was possible to receive a "free" manaphy as a gift. This option seems not to be available anymore.. Is there any way to still catch/get a manaphy?

I need help evolving my gligar because I need a razor fang and to get one I need to beat elite 4 but the problem is I want I gliscor to use against the elite for so if someone could get one and attach it to a unused pokemon I would appreciate it (also I doubt anyone will as this request sounds like rude when I read it back and if I don't then I'll just train up a zubat)

I used to run a free-access public Discord server that anyone could join to get help with trades for Pokemon such as the trade evolutions in this video... but it grew too big for me to manage at the time, and so I had to give it away. I have since settled on a type of Discord server where I have the means to limit the total number of members, by having a small payment required to enter. This way I can also make sure that everyone who joins my Discord server has a good time. Last time I made a video like this one my old Discord server grew from 200 members to 10000 in two weeks. That became a complete mess. I am sorry for the inconvenience, I know finding a trade partner can be a challenge. Sometime in the future, I will host livestreams where I issue a public code for Global Rooms where we can all come together and trade all the trade evolutions with one another, but unfortunately the multi-person Global Room feature is not ready yet. Once it is, I will do an effort to help those who will not join the *Nirtheart* Discord server.

In the og diamond and pearl you could find wild gengar in the old chateau when fr or lg were inserted in your gba slot on the ds. Then it would appear in the room with the red eyed painting with a 4% chance at lv16 i believe

Yes indeed! That is a core part of Pokemon: there are two version so that we as players have an incentive to trade Pokemon with one another! There are some Pokemon only I can find who have Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, and then there are some players who have Pokemon they can find on their Pokemon Shining Pearl game. And then we team up together!

The Link Code is a random number you choose together with your trade partner to connect your systems. Pokémon HOME is available in January or March sometime most likely.

When you trade how can you get your pokemon to start to listen to you again
It is only Pokémon that do not have your OT (Original Trainer) that will not listen to you. It can be that the OT of your Pokémon was from an in-game trainer, in which case you just have to get enough Gym badges! That will increase the level cap of the Pokémon you have received from trades, to make them listen to you

@@nirtheart I remember there was a time you could just trade to yourself but I believe it was on the Global Trading System. That was a fool Proof way of trading and getting your evolved Pokémon back without having to trade with a friend. Might of been Pokémon x or y.

It's not impossible that you can find someone in your area who are playing Pokemon! Though a single-month Subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is not too much to pay for, though you may make use of their 7-day free trial if you have never used Online before :)
