10 POKEMON You Should NOT USE In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl!
The craziest thing about Pokemon Diamond and Pearl was that, though we had enough Pokemon to have diverse teams, we all went with the exact same team every time! And because of that there are certain Pokemon that everyone use on their team, and this time with the Sinnoh Grand Underground in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl... I think it's better we don't use these Pokemon! So I'm going to go over the 10 Pokemon that you shouldn't use in BDSP!

So how many people do you think are going to get triggered by this video? 🤔🐸☕️
Probably a few and to be fair alot of people use the same sinnoh team lol
Very many. I am using almost all them. All but Garchump.😆 But I will have a team of 9 or more. I have a shiny Lumineon and Carnivine saved up so I hope to use them as well😁👌 I think they are underrated. But I like em. So I will use them. I am so hyped. It will be so fun playing through the game the first time. Good luck everybody!😃✌
What are you talking about, I only used infernape with some hm slaves to play that game for the 1st time.
@@liamskarhed6068 I plan on using a team of 7 (since I'm not sure if Cynthia still has her DP team or her Platinum team) Infernape Togekiss (will be using the Starly line until I get the Togepi egg) Jolteon (will be using the Shinx line until I get my Eevee from Bebe and will be used if Cynthia has her Platinum team) Roserade (swapped with Jolteon if Cynthia has her DP team) Floatzel Garchomp Weavile
Platinum team. You can see it in one of my previous videos :)
Man really had the nerve to mention my ENTIRE TEAM.
Same here, I want garchomp, luxray, staraptor, floatzel, and lucario in my team to join infernape

Nah if lucario is uptainable in any game I'm getting it
Staraptor is genuinely a perfect counter to many gyms and part of the elite four. Plus it has intimidate. It’s like a no brained you just have it.
Love that pokemon

It is such a boring Pokémon

“If it can beat Cynthia it’s on my team”- almost every single person who has played sp or bd or any of the og games
I beat Cynthia first time in original diamond game. Lost 4 times in BD.
The issue is when you take into account how many mons can be fully evolved before the league, so many of them are locked behind the post game. Roserade and rapidash are basically the only viable grass and fire type that can be obtained before the league, it’s disappointing but it’s how the routes play out
heck noo you can get houndoom and magmar in underground (torkoal and camerupt too but you said viable) I think you're right about grass type but even then you have to make a decision between Rosarade or togekiss because you only get one shiny stone
@@MrJonathanoscar I think the amount of new evolutions that are locked behind the post game is really disappointing. Dusknoir, togekiss or roserade (like you said), rhyperior, tangrowth, ect. These Pokémon are very cool but no one uses them because they can’t be used during your play through. This has an added problem which is making them a pain in the arse to get for the Pokédex. Well it’s easier now with them spawning naturally in sw/sh and other newer online trading methods. But back back before sun and moon they were essentially impossible to get.
@@MrJonathanoscar actually you can get both roserade and togekiss before the 3rd badge in bdsp. source: i did it. just catch 6 pachirisu with pickup, use em to beat up a bunch of low level wild pokemon (preferably keep them between level 11 and 20), and theyll eventually pick up 2 shiny stones. might take a few hours but its worth it imo
That's what you get for being a faithful remake. You go back to the Virgin DP dex instead of the Chad Platinum expanded Dex
Ngl, i got up to the top 3 and was like "huh, ive never used ANY of these." Then you mentioned Luxray, Garchomp and Staraptor and i was like "they had us in the first half,"
I have never used any of these
I can do without Garchomp, but Luxray and Staraptor are a must. They are both in the top 3 of their types. The rest of of the electric and flying types were no where near as good. I have never used Rapidash or Floatzel in my teams. The only good thing about either of them is their speed. Back in Diamond and Pearl, Rapidash's move set SUCKED. You had to teach it pretty much all of the good fire moves, which meant you had to find those TMs. Same for Floatzel. It only learned THREE WATER MOVES!! And one of those was Whirlpool, which is a terrible move. And the other two was Aqua Jet and Water Gun, which only have a power of 40!! So you had to find the TMs and teach it the better water moves. I used Roserade during my second playthrough, and I was not impressed by it at all. I preferred using Abomasnow as my grass type. And with him, I didn't need a dragon type.
One thing I like to do sometimes is themed runs based off the manga characters. So in one of my recent platinum teams I went with Empoleon, Rapidash, Lopunny, Froslass, Pachirisu, and Togekiss. Which Rapidash is arguably the only in this list though excusable because it's gen 4 and while Growlithe is an option in Platinum, Platinum/Platina herself didn't have one at any point and there wasn't many other decent options for a strong fire hitter in her other options (I was also trying to replicate movesets as faithfully as possible without completely hurting coverage).
@@adamrhodes9946 can we talk about honchkrow in diamond? Better att/spec att stats then staraptor, and good against 2 elite 4
@@10tailedbijuu roserade makes the game super easy
You gotta give Sinnoh credit though. They managed to make all of their early route trashmons so crazy good they became team staples. Even Bidoof was long regarded as king of HM slaves in his time. You didn't see people beating the E4 with a noctowl, furret, Raticate and bellosom back in gold/silver.
He is the prime HM Slave, so much so the meme’d us with him and Bibarel doing most of the Poketch HMs.
I actually preffered noctowl over pidgeot or fearow
@@Death-fj7hy Fearow is actually solid in HGSS. I like it better than Pidgeot.
I had a Noctowl as a kid on my team in silver and used him when I got to the elite four
They didnt make pokemon better.. they made the games way too easy.. gen 6 onward the games just became too easy. Comparing gen 2 to anything released after gen 6 is like comparing Zelda to Dark souls
Main team for Brilliant Diamond was Infernape, Luxray, Gardevoir, Altaria, Mismagius, and Mamoswine. Probably could've used an Abomasnow instead of Luxray, but the Shinx line is one of my favorite sets of creatures of all time.
Omg! I had Luxray and Gardevior!
wtf we had 4 of the same team members
Okay I admit I used Luxray. It's one of my favorite Pokémon. Also, I'm proud to say that my playthrough of BDSP was the first time I had a Lucario on my team even though I played gen 4 a lot over the past 13 years or so
“Garchomp, Luxray, Staraptor” DANGIT I ALREADY HAD THOSE GUYS WRITTEN OUT TO BE ON MY TEAM!
new hack, have gibbite, lucario, staraiva, with everstones lol.
"Do you really want to go through the game with a Mythical on your team?" YES! That was my biggest Gripe with Mythicals for the last decade, we didn't have to work for it, Now we at least need to put in the effort to hatch the egg again! And as for Dialga and Palkia, I tried to blast through Cynthia with Dialga way back in the day, and she obliterated it. The GOD OF TIME was bodied by SPIRITOMB! If you guys feel like using the Box Legendary for the League, go for it, you'll need the canon fodder.
Its okay Now we have Fairies
@@ThexZeldaxChampx90 My point that Cynthia is so powerful that Legendaries are canon fodder still stands, plus the Garchomp has Iron Head, so Fairies don't mean jack! And Roserade (which Cynthia has) can learn Dazzling Gleam!
@@treybrzezowski3259 it's fine Grab a powerful Steel or Fire type for that overgrown rose
@Trey Brzezowski did the garchomp always have Iron Head, or are you just making assumptions?

Honestly having a crobat instead of Staraptor is refreshing. It’s easy to evolve also. You get a soothe bell from some random lady early game and evolved mine into crobat at level 32. Plus you don’t need to teach it fly since it’s in the Poketch. Great choice if you choose infernape 🙌🏼
You do not need to teach it fly since its in the poketch? WAIT WHAT?
@@karuagira9067 yea man, it the new diamond and pearl you don’t need to teach any mons HM’s. Blew my mind when i found it out too 😂

*laughs in now Fairy type Togekiss* But let's be honest, Sinnoh has a crap ton of cool Pokémon, so I see why so many people use the same ones.
And if we get Eevee, that means Sylveon as well
And not everyone is the same if you want to use the ones you got used with than do it there is no harm using them
Because the ones that are the coolest tend to be used. Why use a cool pokemon when you have the option of using the cooler one? I agree that there could be more variety of pokemon teams but be fair people are just going to use what they like. It doesn't help that all the early game pokemon are good as once you start using them its harder to take them off the team for something else.
@@ThexZeldaxChampx90 if we get sylveon, sylveon will 100% be in my team. but sylv was introduced in Gen VI and remake only covers till gen 4

I love how he literally just says, “Don’t use this Pokémon cuz… J-j-j-just don’t!!”😂😂
Tbh, I almost never used Roserade on my dpp playthrough. Thought it was too much work to evolve, plus I liked other grass types more. I'm only using it now as a change of pace because I looked it over so much in the past. Otherwise, I am sparing a few others like Floatzel and Staraptor. Honestly getting bored of them and wanna try something else.
I was that kid who traded over starters and reset until all 3 sinnoh starters made up half my team 😅😅😅
Shout out to the OGs who beat Cynthia WITHOUT Luxray, Garchomp, and Staraptor on their team- It took us 37 tries but it was worth it
Lol I know that pain. Took forever
I remember beating her in 2 tries. But i did have staraptor on my team. Not the other ones tho
For real!!! It was so hard without the three of them if you didn't know what you were doing
I never used Staraptor so am using it now. Same with Crobat (plus got a shiny). And literally no one can replace Luxray, having that Electric/Dark coverage for so much of the game is such an asset. The main problem with Sinnoh is that the early pokemon you can obtain is so limited compared with late game.
Luxray is pure electric type not electric/dark
@@maysonng2490 he learns dark moves tho so its still dark coverage
i think i’ll have my generic team that i had as a child (luxray, roserade, garchomb ect) just because i love them and i want to try doing a second team with my choice as an adult i can’t help but be nostalgic like I have a luxray on all of my pokemon games
I learned from Sword and Shield that Boltund actually was really good. So I have a good feeling about Luxray.
I will tell you now that my Luxray is doing pretty good with Spark, Bite, Thunder Wave and Volt Switch. Physical Attack Electric is so interesting now that there’s a few more move options for Luxray to use
@@nofilterneito I decided to breed Ice Fang onto mine. Now if only I can get Thunder Punch for a Chimchar!
Same!! I loved Boltund in Shield
This comment gives me fortnite kid vibes
My luxray right not has charge, thunder, bite and leer and it’s insane. My favourite electric type apart from raichu
Funny enough, with the forced exp share and having the portable box, I'll probably have a Team A and Team B. That way if the game feels like its getting to easy I can switch my mons around, and I can use pokemon I would not normally use in my 6 only team.
It’s always been easy. Know it’s just less tedious and more access to TMs.
Miracle: if you don't grind and play normaly - you find out that only XY exp.share was kinda broken! Honestly, all Pokemon games always were easy, they always were meant for kids, you just was younger and had much less experience with the genre, maybe even didn't understand many mechanics. I mean, having no phy/spe split isn't even a gimmick, it's a disaster, same as att/def split, limited bag storage or forced useless HM moves that're undeletable. Or do you call two gyms with same lvl divided by ton of trainers "hard" just because both of them had ~15 lvl curve from previous one? Again, just bad design... Gym leaders rarely have more than 3 pokemon, 5 at max; Elite Four always have 5 pokemon without rematches; only time Champion surpassed 70 lvl is postgame battle with Alder; no character in games start battle with their ace or have actually good moveset; most of AI is brain-dead; main gameplay 1 on 1 battles; at the start you given quite OP pokemon as a "starter" that can easily solo the game, and so on many, many points of game always were made quite easy and any "hardness" in there were mistakes, unintentionally bad design or simply tedious roadblocks. Want "hard monster collecting game for grown-ups" - try SMT, don't act as Pokemon were actually hard at any point.
@@Louis_Cyphriel lol
@@Louis_Cyphriel it would be nice if there were difficulty settings.
@@supersaiyan5889 yea... No. Series pretty much never had them and have no reason to have it. Again, only actual way this genre can make games harder without changing mechanics is by simply give stupid lvl curves and I doubt it is what you really want. And if you do want Pokemon games like this, there's enough of Drayano hacks
Brilliant content, continue shining my man ✨
Love these videos! Glad I finally subscribed
You had me until you said luxray… that’s always been my favorite Pokémon. Everyone can keep their dragons and legends and pseudo legends I just want shinx and his evo line
Same. I love his design & I love that he’s electric type
Luxray is great, so is Luxio. I never evolved my first Luxio when I played Diamond for the first time because I loved her just the way she was and I didn't evolve her all the way. I nicknamed her Leona. But I evolved my Luxio (not the same one, a different one) in Ultra Sun and I didn't regret it. I've always loved the Shinx line, but then again I'm a feline lover, so there's that. Shinx may be any combination of shock, shine, or shining and lynx or sphinx. According to some websites, the Shinx line is based on the lynx not the lion. See "lynx" on Wikipedia. ""Shinx is based on a lynx kitten, Shinx may be any combination of shock, shine, or shining and lynx". But some people disagree. They say: "I pondered that too but shinx initially came off as sphinx minus the P and sphinxes have the bodies of lions." I honestly do not know who is right and who is wrong here. Only the creator's intent matters in the end. What are Gamefreak's official informations about the Shinx line and what animal and/or mythical creature he/she is based on? I could be dead wrong but don't male lions have manes as opposed to male lynx who don't have manes? Acoording to the website, there's differences between the male Luxio and the female Luxio as well as the male Luxray and the female Luxray, the female has a shorter mane. That doesn't make sense. I thought female lions were not supposed to have manes AT ALL, not like shorter ones. According to my research female lions don't have manes AT ALL except in extremely rare cases and when it happens it's an anomaly caused by an hormonal imbalance. So the Shinx line cannot be based on the lion, can it? But it can't possibly be based on the lynx either because lynx don't have manes AT ALL, NOT EVEN THE MALES. So what exactly is the Shinx line based on?
@@michelled.4874 you’ve just given me so much more to think about, thank you lol I truly enjoy learning interesting facts like this and now I myself am curious what shinx is based off of.
@@athenafaeth same so is starapter, it is cool
@@michelled.4874 Luxray was in my first team, as soon as I saw Shinx I was like "YOU ARE GOING TO BE ON MY TEAM AND YOU ARE GOING TO ENJOY IT!!!!!" haha it was so cute, then when it evolved, I thought it was such a kool looking middle evolution and it was good in battle, then finally Luxray came along and I was so impressed.
As someone who’s only played one Main Line game Sword and Shield I choose team members I’ve never used before like Infernape, Bulbasaur, Swampert, Magnezone, Tyranitar, and Togekiss
0.8.P, You can go with whatever your preference is, but Magneton with eviolite is stronger than Magnezone. Same thing with Chansey as opposed to Blissey. There might be more Pokemon like this. But apparently, it seems that not all "evolution" is good or beneficial. Also, I've heard that "mega" Garchomp is weaker than regular Garchomp, so Garchomp undergo a very painful and messed up mutation and his arms melt into scythes (read the USUM "mega" pokemon dex entries, Gamefreak in their own words clearly say that "mega evolution" is Pokemon cruelty and Pokemon abuse and that it hurts and stresses the Pokemon a lot) only so it can become weaker and worse in battle. Do you think that's fair?
Mega Garchomp only sucks because it loses speed in exchange for more bulk. Many other pokemon were unusable before they got megas, I dont know where in the world you got the idea that mega evolution makes pokemon weaker.

For my daimond team I'm planning on: Torterra, Magnezone, Gardevoir, Weavile, A water type ( if he is available ludicolo otherwise gyarados) and Magmortar. But in the end I will probably switch one out for Garchomp.
I’m still using my Staraptor, it’s my favorite Pokémon 😌
I've taken my time by leveling up multiple teams. What's really nice is leveling in the underground is fun and rewarding.
I was having too hard of a time with Cynthia using Roserade so I swapped for an Abomasnow and I’m not regretting it at all. I’m also using a Clefable for the first time. Really nice change of pace for me. Also this video genuinely had me laughing. Definitely subbed after this. I’m keeping Staraptor though. I love yeeting a bird at people to knock them out.
I did want to add Staraptor on my team in Brilliant Diamond, but I changed it to Murkrow instead since it's a flying & dark type, which is very useful against so many types: ghost, psycic, fighting & grass. It's a pretty OP double type Pokemon, especially once you find a way to evolve it into Honchkrow. I did want to have a female Roserade on my team, but it's evolution process is kind of stupid & takes forever. So I decided to box it once I finally got a Gastradon on my team.

I feel like there’s less reason to use Staraptor this time since we don’t need it for fly. In previous Pokémon games I always had a flying type on my team because Fly is just too useful an HM, same for a water type for surf. But now we don’t need to keep HMs on our teams so we could do without a flying or water type. I mean what’s flying good for? Grass and bug, fire covers the same things plus fire hits ice and steel.
Staraptor is still a really good pokemon. Intimidate, good stats, close combat.

I’m sorry I gotta have garchomp and lucario strong ass Pokémon means powerful trainer lol call me a simp i don’t care lol 😂
You know, playing for the first time, without knowing locations and evolutions, makes all the difference in the world. I've played full Platinum for at least 10 times (as far as I remember) using different Pokemon all the time. But the first time I didn't even care who I was using and I ended up building the team with the usual 6. I start with Piplup and Shinx, in Eterna City I capture Buneary. Before the 4th gym, I went to the route below, so I catch Houndour and Staravia. But there was this Pokemon that really me, Lucario. But didn't know, at the time, where I could catch one. Lopunny leaves the team for Porygon. I challenge the 5th Gym with Prinplup, Luxray, Staraptor, Porygon and Houndoom. At Snowpoint city I catched a Snorunt, I thought it was really cool, it became a Glalie. When I go to Victory Road I quickly come across a Gabite. I send Porygon away, train Gabite with Victory Road trainers, evolve into Garchomp, and it becomes one of my favorite Pokemon all time. During the Postgame I find a Pokemon, Sealeo. He will replace Glaile, becomes a Walrein and I will keep him for a long time. An old friend of mine trades me his Lucario, I put it in a team. I was really happy. In Snowpoint city Candice open the doors for Regigigas'temple , and I catch a Sneasel, and luckily I had the item to evolve it. So I unintentionally put together the 6 most common Pokemon from any run: Empoleon,Luxray,Staraptor,Garchomp, Lucario and Weavile ahahaha. And honestly, the game pur effort to let you use them, being pretty much Gym leaders,Cyrus and Cynthia's main Pokemon.
Will u do dis too for BW remakes? Or just like that....bc i replay i would 2kno what the overused Teams were

Houndoom is not a rare encounter. In the dazzling cave area I ran into more houndoom than ralts
@@darknesswave100 well that’s what serbii says rare encounter also you can increase your chances by having fire type statues in your base or you’re just lucky
Right now I’m in Eterna Forest in Platinum, playing on my pc… crying 🥺😢 Can’t wait for the remakes! :) And great video….. I’m using some still on my team 😅
For my first time playing, my team was: Empoleon, Magnezone, Garchomp, Mamoswine, Crobat, and Gyrados :) [I swapped Luxray with Magnezone, Crobat with Staraptor, and Abomasnow with Mamoswine]
One unfortunate note to add about Luxray. Luxray got completely nerfed in these games, and I barely got the opportunity to successfully use her in any battles. She cleared Cynthia's Milotic, but any other electric type/grass type could've done the same and served me better through my playthru.
imo ive found luxray to be an mvp for parts of my playthrough
I will definitely try to have more variety in my team this time. I used just too many staraptors and luxrays as a kid already
They’re both staples on any of my play throughs. I don’t go through these games without one
I recently played platinum again and I switched some of this classic pokemon: Instead of Staraptor, I got a Crobat and it isnt very hard to evolve it since you can get soothe bell before the second gym; I used Luxray until before the Sunyshore gym, so i switched it for a magnezone which its pretty stronger. also I switched Floatzel for a Vaporeon which is far stronger.
Same mate I started to play Platinum again recently and Staraptor & Luxray are no good. I have Magnezone, Togekiss, Garchomp, Crobat, Empoleon and Magmortar(traded it with my 3ds to evolve only)
@@-_MR666_- I used a emulator so no trading evos for me, if I could do it, i would use Electivire
@@canalfamilia06 damn I had this feeling as a child. No one trade and no 3ds existed - no Electivire or Magmortar 😭😭😭 Anyway hope BDSP comes out soon!!!
My zuba evolved into a go back at level 23 and then after one level to level 24 evolved
I admit that my first team (on the original diamond version) was Torterra, Staraptor, Luxray, Infernape, Empoleon, and Alakazam. Yes, I was very boring. But the thing is that during that time I made it a rule for myself to never use the same mon I've already used in playthrough twice, so for this game I had to break that rule just so I could use Torterra (I think my Torterra should be kept for the purposes of haha starter and grass/ground coverage). My team for bdsp will be along the lines of Torterra, Magnezone, Houndoom, Drifblim, Drapion, and Azumarill.
This video really helped me out thanks
Funnily enough, I have never used the Gible line in any playthrough.
I’ve never used Floatzel or Garchomp in a DPP playthrough , so maybe I use them this time!
This was a very use video since I have played any gen 4 games thanks
So basically these Pokemon aren't "bad" they just tend to be on people's team and for some reason that's "bad"?
He’s basically saying don’t be basic but all the Pokémon he mentioned freaking rock so I don’t blame anyone for using them
Honestly when I played diamond back in the day I really only used infernape, staraptor, luxury, and dialga. So this time I'm certainly going to use floatzel, garchomp, and lucario since I've never done a playthrough where they were on my team. I also want to use rampardos because rampardos is awesome. The last member of my team will probably be luxray, because I havent had one in so long. You know, even if you do decide to use similar teams, the experience is going to be different. There's going to be so many changes with the fairy type, new moves, and probably some new story content so honestly now might be the perfect time to use a team that you once used a long time ago Ps if I was gonna use empoleon as my starter I would definitely go for a magmortar as my fire type
I am planning to use Pokémon I never used in my platinum playthroughs; - Empoleon: never FINISHED with the water starter in my many playthroughs - Dustox: I was either gonna use Dustox or Mothim. Decided to choose the former since I have another flying type in my team and I like Dustox more. - Gliscor: one of my favourite Pokémon of all time...tho never used in ANY Pokémon game. This was a must even before the remakes got teased xD - Purugly: Didn't really dig its design back in the day, but it grew on me. I also remember getting destroyed by Mars in the first battle with her xD - Houndoom: Just a great mon in general - Rotom: still not sure which form I ll choose(most likely the ice or grass one tho) I made this team BEFORE I knew that we might get all 400+ Pokémon in the game so it might change a bit; Empoleon, Gliscor and Purugly will definitely stay but I might change Houndoom for another fire type for example.
Gliscor and Empoleon are my jam
For me, since I never finished Platinum I guess technically any could work, but I wanted to basically just revamp the current one I have. My sixth member is still the only one I'm not 100% sure about though. I want it to be a fire type though if I can't do that then I'll fall on Mismagius.
we can't get rotom or rotom forms until after the game....totally wrecked my plan. I wanted the washing machine
I would make sure I had froslass and Milotic and infernape and Lopunny, I know some of these are not the best but for some reason I just really liked having these as my part of my main starting team 💕
i was so excited to use manaphy with the mystery gift...then you mention it as the *first* pokemon not to use LOL
my team is going to be: Infernape Gyrados Froslass and of course Staraptor Magnezone Garchomp
Most generic team I ever seen 😭 Also happens to be my team...
switch Milotic for Gyrados?
what's sad and hilarious is that I played Pearl when it released 15 years ago and i never knew gible and lucario existed until way after I beat the elite 4 and cynthia. I found my DS recently and I'm finally getting to play them there, but I think I am deserving of training them and battling with them this time around! haha
I never knew how common it was to use starkly on ur team 😂 it was my first Pokémon besides for starter
Question, can the staraptor and Luxray be temporary team members?
The thing is, if you want to use only pokemon that are introduced in gen 4 it's hard not to have one of them or least more
I’ll definitely have more then one team in BDSP but rapidash is actually my favorite Fire type. I try to use ponyta when I can. I love the fire horse. 😂
Luxray and Staraptor are both on my team… I’m roughly a little while after the second gym worth of playtime atm in my playthrough, although I never played the original diamond and pearl games (this is my first time through the region) had no idea those 2 we’re so commonly used
Its funny because on my original diamond runs I never really used any of these pokemon at all except for sure staraptor with fly. So now I'm using a lot of these mons specifically to MAKE it feel fresh.
I would choose Torterra, but I _really_ want to use Camerupt without type overlap, so I'm going Empoleon this time around. You can't stop me from using Staraptor though
Just embrace the mono-ground life. Pick up Gastrodon and Flygon while you're at it. :D
My Empoleon has been holding it down for my team lmao.
Yoooo I’ve been avoiding using these pokemon in my shining pearl run and it’s really fun!! Current team is Infernape, Crobat, Mismagius, Carnivine, Quagsire and Weavile
I'm ngl I used Drapion for the first time this playthrough and tried to have it be a toxic spike setter and... Not only is it pathetically weak but entry hazards now disappear??!!
I already know what team I am going to be using: Empoleon Togekiss (if we still get the Togepi egg)/Crobat (if we don’t) Raichu Houndoom Froslass Gallade
Now that i think about it i wonder how many people decide not to use their starters after catching the first route 1 pokemon
@@Ashelybee thats gonna be me
Omg, your team is almost my team that im planning😱. My team os going to be: Empoleon Togekiss Gallade Froslass Roserade Probopass
@@WillySognatore you should teach probopass fire punch if you're going with that team
Why not try Electivire instead of Raichu?
Is there an exception for me (ik it could be considered a sin) but I've never played through Sinnoh before and therefore have never played with those pokemon I'm but I HAVE to use a Staraptor and a Lucario, they are too cool for me to to just walk away from
The game is there for you to play however you see fit friend. Dont let some chump on the internet gatekeeper your enjoyment of the game.
I pick em based in design and typing so I definitely used manaphy starly and shinx while occasionally switching out my roserade
I'm new to sinnoh so is it okay if I have 4 of those on my team?BTW I just started playing
Yeah it is okay
3:53 Exp share doesn’t make the game easier, it makes grinding less annoying to non-existence. Which isn’t the same as difficulty and given how pokemon games focus more on levels when it comes to difficulty and not team setup most of the time, the main issue with sinnoh remakes is that the exp share can’t be turned off, because some people want to have to deal with a good chunk of grinding or because they want an overleveled mon while everything else in the party lags behind.
Isn’t it a good thing to have the levels of your team balanced?
@@wildberrysherbert3803 yes, but that can be done by a variety of means and most people who don’t want the exp.share don’t really want to it to exist. The best example of balancing teams can be seen in sun and moon where you can put whatever you caught and want to use directly onto your team so that the new pokemon is guaranteed to not be too underleveled. Although as a whole the choice of exp.share is superior to a lack or forced to use form of exp.share.
This was a great concept for a video, got me interested with the title and you actually made decide to change my team up. Its now: Infernape Gastrodon Togekiss Bronzong Drapion Abomasnow
I ended up with a team of Torterra, Honchkrow, Gardevoir, Magmortar (which I had traded to me since I played Diamond), Lumineon, and Scizor
this is rly insane cause i only started playing and this was so helpful
HybridHero: So let me get this straight, you believe it's fun to play with the same Pokemon team over and over again? Me: I do, and I'm tired of pretending it's not.
I'm going to play one of the games with the most generic team I can think of: Infernape Staraptor Luxray Floatzel Roserade Garchomp/Lucario And the other one without using any of these.
This is exactly what we dont want smhhh
@@HybridHero Casual
@@HybridHero I'm gonna do the other one with a team based on Journey to the West: Infernape: Sun Wukong Medicham: Tripitaka Mamoswine: Pigsy Golduck: Sandy Rapidash: Yulong Ambipom: Stone Monkey as compensation.
@@HybridHero slave driver people can do what ever they want freedom!!!!
This was my diamond and pearl team besides garchomp and lucario. I'm pretty sure I had a dialga. I was 10 when these games came out though. I switched it to in platinum
I feel personally attacked, it's like he looked at my team AND my back up team and shat on all of them
The problem with my runs is that I like to use pokemon who were new those games so its a bit hard to swap around when there is so little to work with
