This is a full walkthrough for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered from the Nathan Drake Collection, on Brutal difficulty with full commentary. Brutal Difficulty is unlocked by beating Crushing and is considerably more challenging.
Uncharted 2 Remastered Brutal Walkthrough Final Boss Ending
"YOU WILL NOT STAND IN THE WAY OF DESTINY!" is a line that haunted my dreams before i learned of this hilarious close range grab tactic.
On crushing when I tried your method it took me loads of trys to get it, he kept punching me and then when he grabbed me he broke my neck. On brutal though, I got stuck in the tree and I panicked, mashing all the buttons to try and get out. Then I noticed he was just standing there - not trying to grab me or shooting so I just kept shooting the resin. Then I thought this is going on waaay longer than it did on crushing, it's not working! I'll have to restart. BUT IT DID WORK!! The cut scene came and I was free. Easiest boss fight I ever had haha. Thanks for the guide, I really loved listening to you while you expained every section... totally entertaining. Peace xxx
I never would've thought of this. In my experience, he's easily one of the hardest final bosses I've ever fought, but this made the fight laughable.
Thanks man! This really helped me! Its funny how he threw me into a tree and I got stuck there. It turned out to be an advantage due to him not being able to neither hit me or shoot me in this tree, yet is still within the blast radius of the resin. All I had to do was sit on my ass safely as I waited for the resin to regrow~ I laughed so hard how he kept threaten me out side being blotchy and all XD

Exactly the same happened to me on my third attempt. It was easy but a bit boring...
Samething happened to me today, first fight stuck in the tree, shot the risin, approximatly 10 times, no fist fight, finish brutal Walkthrough! Hard as Hell but lots of fun

The exact thing happened to me the very first time he grabbed me! I tried getting out of the tree but then realized it was better to stay in it. Killed him first try and got the trophy for completing this chapter on normal or harder without dying!

Id like to thank you for these walkthroughs, very helpful, even for crushing. Uncharted 2's crushing wasn't too bad, but any tough spots were made a lot easier. Maybe ill try brutal.

Thank you for this whole walkthrough. It was extremely helpful. I just finished my brutal run and I can't believe I did it! There were some parts where I thought "this is impossible", others where I'd clear three waves of enemies then die because of the last enemy and had to do it all over again, multiple times. But still I advanced chapter after chapter till the end! Because of your videos I started using different weapons for different encounters instead of always going for maximum clip capacity. The last boss was funny, after the first punches I was stuck in the tree so I just shot the resin a bunch of times and won 😆 Lastly I really appreciated the commentary. I don't understand why no commentary walkthroughs are so popular. As a viewer I prefer to know what's going on and why the player made the decision they made. Thanks!
Thanks so much for this video. After I don't know how many attempts using other methods this was the one that brought me success. It is tricky to get it to initiate correctly but did work... up to a point. After the second mini-cutscene where Lazarevich kneels I repeated the process of letting him grab me, and after hitting square three times Drake was pushed back into the large tree trunk and I couldn't get out. However I figured I could still move around and could still shoot the sap. I was also immune to attack from Lazarevich. I went on to defeat him (and complete my crushing run). Yes I feel like I have cheated a bit but the game glitched when I wasn't expecting. For the record I did complete the proper way (by having him follow me around the room) on my first play through on normal difficulty.

I tried the strategy showed and it didn't work for me; he kept punching me and breaking my neck so I stayed at the same place where the video guy is and he threw me at some trees and something glitchy happened because he couldn't touch me, so I kept on shooting at the resin until the cut scenes showed. Two things worth mentioning, since I'm in the trees I had access to two resins each one opposite the other, doesn't matter when you shoot, it's always going to hit; second, at a moment he could shoot at me and he almost killed me, if that happens, you only have to try to get close to him, it worked for me. Thank you for the guide, it helped me to create some strategies on my own as well.
With all the headbutts Drake suffered, I’m surprised he doesn’t have a concussion or brain damage.

Just finished my Brutal playthrough and got the trophy. Your guide is great, however, there are some points in the game where you could have finished much easier and quicker, such as the endless turret spawn in The Monastery and The Siege, basically, enemies kept coming coz you didn't progress, those sections can be finished much quicker if you progress, with caution of course. I did Lazarevich the old fashioned way and it worked on my first attempt, but anyway, great walkthrough man, thanks, you helped me through some tight parts.

I don't have this game, just the first one on PS3. Looks a good collection, I should pick this up when I get a PS4 :) I'm looking forword for the Uncharted 1 walkthrough, I have some problems with that dificulty... :) Not sure if the dificulty changes from PS3 to PS4? Your walk-throughs are always great! The strategy I used for the final boss was to ring around the Rosie with him by the stairs. He was harder on crushing in my opinion!

I appreciate your video, as this method was the only way I could beat Lazaravic. That said, I think there's room for improvement. I don't like this particular spot because it's too close to the pool of sap, and if you accidentally step in it, Lazaravic can kill you when he grabs you. I found a different spot near one of the other sap patches. The other thing is that I _highly_ recommend punching Lazaravic nonstop. By doing this, he will almost never punch you himself, and it does a lot of damage to him. I only had to shoot the sap five or so times total before he died.

Brutal Charted trophy in the house! Really good walkthrough keep doing what you do. This is overall easy IF you are stubborn enough. Just start the game with the mindset that you are going to beat it.

I've just finished my Crushing playthrough and just enjoyed watching this guide and playing along with you. I don't think I will be able to do Brutal but it was still great to watch you do it. Thanks for the guide! If I’m honest, I used bits of it to help my crushing run 😅 I’m not sure how I managed it, but for the final boss, after he strangled me I got stuck in a tree and he couldn’t reach me, but could shoot at the sap. Made it too easy if anything haha
I notice you have not done a guide for UC3, do you think UC3 is easier or harder on Brutal than UC2?
This strategy would've made my crushing run so much easier. I ended up beating it the way it seemed to be intended to and felt so satisfied, but great guide. I hope to do this difficulty when I get a ps4
Oh wow that tactic is fantastic! The only only tactic I found for Crushing back in 2011 was to glitch him around the platform, which I remember being frustrating. This looks much more simple.
I don't know if you'll ever see this, but your videos helped me a lot, I couldn't have done it without them, and besides the gameplay itself, you still make these comments, which just helps in the video, congratulations

@@TheSeraphim17 I always play on hard hands difficulty, but in these uncharted games, it's very unfair, thank goodness they did a much better job on The Last of Us 2, grounded mode is awesome
I tried like hell to get your loop to work, but it didn't work. He kept doing the punch instead of the grab, so I resorted to my old strategy of hanging off a ledge and praying. My prayers were answered on Crushing. Hopefully they'll be answered again on Brutal.
+Bick Benedict That's weird. I can reliably do this loop every time. There are a ton of videos of looping this boss, so maybe an other spot would work better for you.
This is way late, and I know you did it with another method, but punch him constantly. When I tried this, he didn't punch me a single time and always used the grab instead. I also moved to a different location away from that pool of fire or whatever it is.
On my second attempt to beat Lazarevic, he grabbed me and I wound up in the tree across from the resin, so I was able to really cheat the game by not even being grabbed by him and able to shoot two resin from my position.

what happend to me was crazy like 0.000000000001% chance lazrvicih threw me into a tree and got stuck but he couldent do damage to me and i kept shooting the resin next to the tree and won just the the plantium great walkthrough dude love the game love the franchise love this channel KEEP IT UP!!!!

Top guy Chris Top guy. When I started the boss fight u said sometimes very rarely he will pick u up and break ur neck. The first 4 times he picked me up, he broke my neck. then he threw me 50 feet for 6 times but I eventually got him staying close as u said 👍😉
Something crazy just happened to me in Lazarevic fight. He grabed me and pushed me into the tree. He couldn't kill or harm me but I could kill him with ease. Victory was never sweeter then this.
I was having trouble with this strategy as well. Then after every mashing of square event, I started to always move toward the boss's back. this forced him to move as well, and if he is moving while you are close he will almost always do the move you want him to do, grab. Standing still did not work for me, he would too often punch or shoot. I would always try to run around to his back while staying close, and it worked every time.
can grenades also damage lazarevic too?

Lol, i beat him on CRUSHING back on the PS3 but I had to do it the way the designers intended running circles like a mad fool, avoiding the multiple grenade throws, tbh it almost wore me out. Next time I do the remaster on crushing I’ll try it this way which, come clean guys, this method is literally breaking the boss fight.
There Is also a strategy in which you hang on the ledge of the square piece of floor (probably the highest floor level in the area) and lazarevic is walking on the top of it constantly and you just wait for the explosive blue tree sap to respawn (there are two trees near, one on the left and one on the right)

I just had the weirdest glitch that makes it even easier. I tried the method you showed here. He grabbed me, I punched him and he dropped me. But he dropped my IN the tree that’s between the two Sap stations. I couldn’t move out of it, but I could shoot. Lazaravich was just glitching out next to the tree and I could comfortably shoot both Sap stations from within the tree. So I killed him essily and the next cutscene freed me again. I did this in crushing but I’m sure it can happen on other difficulties as well since it’s a super rare glitch
Great guide of a great game, im on crushing run for the plat, dont think i will have will/patience for brutal, hope you do the first one, just to hear you cursing the few total bullshit fights!!!!!
I did it first try by doing the running around, shooting the blue resin strategy. It works fine. His gun shot me 2-3 times without killing me.
I’ve got the brutal trophy today without glitch I am so proud of myself it was pain but it gets easier. Good luck everyone!
I didn't even knew about that strategy and i've finished the game like 100 times (on crushing and below) . Wish i knew that earlier 🤣
In the last part where you got to shoot the guardian I found out that blind shooting is much easier than aiming. Just if someone has a problem with that part.
Ok. I tried it and it is true that he doesn't shot with his shotgun..but he often punshes me without grabbing and i die. What do i wrong :(
This strat makes it to where you reduce 5 things that can piss you off down to 1 or 2 and that's if he doesnt throw you

Recuerdo cuando tenía 13 años y este juego me sacó muchas sonrisas. Apenas si lo logré completar en normal, pero me lo jugaba varias veces. Morí como mil veces pero por fin derrote a Lazarevic. Pasaron 3 años y al fin me animé a terminarlo en difícil, otra vez, morí como 1000 veces intentando derrotar a Lazarevic. Regalé la Ps3, compré pas Ps4, y 3 años después lo terminé en Aplastante, fueron otras 1000 muertes ante Lazarevic. Hoy me animé a empezar el juego en Brutal. Es mi juego favorito, supongo que vale la pena, y gracias a este tutorial creo que lo completare al 100%. Al menos ya sé que no me tocará morir 1000 veces jajajaja.
He grabbed me and smashed me down. Right into the tree. I was stuck there. I could hit him, but he couldn't hit me. So the bossfight on brutal was actually as easy as on normal difficulty.
So this may be the placebo effect, but for me... I do what TheSerephim17 does EXCEPT I always try to have my back to the boss. When I'm facing him he'll punch me a lot and when I had my back to him he always grabbed me.

I got him to grab me into the tree where you were and he cant hit me but both resins can damage him so it made it extremely easy
Glitched into a tree but I got my platinum so I won't complain :D
I remember doing the platform hang strat when I played the first time. this looks a touch easier.

@@greedgod5827 The, you had bad luck. I played this strategy (the hanging) on crushing and Brutal and for both difficulties I managed to get through without dying (And normally I die a lot).
I tried this method & he threw me inside the tree in a position where I could shoot the resin & he was close enough to take damage from it. He stood there unable to reach me and I just shot the resin over & over without doing anything else!
the loop doesnt really work for me i always get to the first or second cutscene and then he just decides to punch me over and over again
