This is an extremely easy way to beat final boss on Uncharted 2. You can do this in Crushing mode or Brutal. Just stand in the same point all the time. He will not throw you and just keep punching him until the tree sap spawns for you to shoot.

@@jadalomer1295 completely agreed uncharted 1 for me is the hardest either crushing or brutal... Not just the boss fight but the entire gameplay base on finishing uncharted 1-3 first try all on crushing mode.. i found it so rage quitting on uncharted 1 coz the movements of thw enemy is so erratic on 2 and 3 is quite easy actually

Actually if you go to the very end and jump left to the corner of this map there is a ledge that you can hang on and the platform above that has a ton of this sap and the A.I. of Zoran will make him stay and his shotgun won't be able to give damage so you can just wait for the sap to grow every time and then shoot it

Oof yea. And if you died, even if you were close to the end (which happened to me btw ;-;) you would have to start all the way from the beginning. (I was literally about to rage quit, and for some reason everyone I wanna rage quit, I always end up winning XD)

Thanks. Back when I played this on the PS3 I used a edge hanging method to beat him but this way is better. I really hate that an amazing game like this had to end with such a horribly conceived final fight. Still love this game.

it's a shame we have to resort to these cheesy fights against the final boss. almost feel a little unsatisfied that I wasn't able to beat the game the "legit" way =(

Can't even tell you how many times I got close to beating it the legit way but the bitch would magically have a third round in a double barrel and fuck me up. Was about ready to put my controller through the wall. You just saved me from having to spend 60 bucks, an apology, and hours of fixing the wall.
Just a couple tips for those who are still stuck, if you are too low of health he will snap your neck so roll around him a bit and try to regain health. Also if you get too far away from him then he will start shooting so stay close.

Excellent work, man. I'd been trying to beat this guy for a whole week. And every single time I died it wasn't because he killed me, but because I panicked trying to get away from him and jumped into a canyon or into the damn burning blue pond. Sheesh! Anyway, I was playing on Normal so it definitely works in that mode. I just stood there and didn't try to shoot or even punch him. Half the time neither of us moved at all. Worked on the first try. Very quiet boss battle, lol...

Doesn't work for me. He just snaps my neck and it does not give me an option to press Square to punch him. EDIT: I can confirm it DOES work (23/07/17). He will only snap your neck if your health is low.

I was struggling a lot to beat this part. I was able to do everything but Lazarevic was super hard. Thanks to this video I was able to finish the game. This is an awesome video.
I have genuine PTSD from this fight. This boss is so dumb on Crushing. Literally the only section of the game that I would gladly cheese, even though there were other sections much more mechanically difficult. Thank you for this, saved me hours of frustration.
Tip: Once the resin or grenade (Yes, grenades do damage on him too) explodes on lazarevic, start shooting him, lead him to the resin and shoot it will take him out easier. Hope this helps.
Ahhh i was SCREAMING at the TV on this fight. Eventually rage quit & saw this video....worked immediately. So satisfying to just punch the boss in the face in cycles, then win after all the ass-whooping i was getting served. Nice

Still works as of April 21, 2020 - Fully updated Nathan Drake Collection. Make sure your positioning is good so he doesn't throw you, and don't get too close to the explosive sap when you shoot it, or he may snap your neck when he picks you up.

Worked with no problem whatsoever... thanks man! For future reference of anyone else playing & getting thrown by Lazarevic, go to this EXACT spot because it is enclosed and right next to a resin formation. Any other large spacious area, he’s gonna throw your ass

Nevermind, did it, thank you. My first time playing this game with 246 restarts on Crushing difficulty. I'd say 46 of those restarts are atleast just stupid deaths rather than being too difficult. I wonder who are the people who play this on brutal.. Crushing is very difficult from time to time.

Me. I'm one of those weirdos that beat him on Brutal. No fudging either. Dunno how, but I did it. Real talk for a sec? Absolute worst and most hated Uncharted moment? The sewer bit in Chapter 5. That fight was the most horrible experience I had under the Crushing/Brutal run. Damn near no useful cover, guys running up from all angles, limited ammo....freaking nightmare. I had to have spent at least a month on that bit.
PurpleBox89 brutal doesn't effect their health or anything like that, it pretty much just locks all tweaks

Thank you so much for making this video! Last time I fought him I did it the way It's meant to be done and it took well over an hour and a half. I'm so glad that I never have to do that again. Because of this method of fighting him, I might be more open to replaying Uncharted 2 more.

This is amazing! The beginning of this worked for me, I was able to get a couple of good hits, but then I had to resort to running in circles, like usual. Lol. Still, it was the fastest I’d ever beaten this boss. It took about them minutes, it usually takes me 45 mins to an hour.

Thanks this made it easier, I didn’t stay still the whole time but kinda kept doing a loop in that general area and got him after 4-5 tries. Felt like it was easier using 9mm vs AK. This was my fourth play through and I think I like 2 even more so then last time. Currently replaying whole series!!!

I know this was years ago but it still works surprisingly. But when I first did it Nate dies randomly on stage three of that guys rage, but it worked the 2nd try. Thanks

Wow… this is so ironic the way it works! I mean, I struggled so much on Hard to defeat Lazarevic, so I was prepared for hell to get the platinum trophy on Crushing! Definitely one of the hardest bosses I have ever fought, but I love this cheese! Thank you so much, seven year on and it still works in 2023!

Defeated him on Crushing in 4 tries. I highly recommend playing on Hard first - you will die 10000 times but your strategy will be rock solid for the harder playthrough. Remember that the blue saps explosion has a greater range than you think it does, so dont wait ages to shoot them
did you do this strategy? After he grabs me like 10 times, he threw me a good distance away from him. I'm not sure if this was part of the later patch.

While this boss is hard to beat, I feel like it’s more the clunky controls that are making it hard for me to beat him, it takes way to long to get the gun to aim at the blue things to shoot, I understand the game is pretty old
Uncharted has one of the worst controls in modern video games. I don't know how many times I died trying to get behind cover and instead I end up doing a barrel rolling of a cliff.

@@PussyStroker Even I felt the same issue as well. Particularly when playing UC 1 on crushing difficulty. I even died several times trying to make a simple jump. The camera movement of the games in NDC was plain horrible. However, UC 4 took care of all these issues

I remember going on vacation and staying over at my cousins house years ago a while back after this game came out,I finished all the missions and I finally got to the boss battle,that’s when my baby cousin (3 at the time) Ripped the Disc from my cousins Ps3 like an absolute monster,and bent the game disc.This is my first time since seeing the ending..Feels good 😢

It's been a while since I played the Uncharted games on PS3 but I'm planning on playing the collection I got from plus on crushing. I'm glad YT recommended me this
