    • He does sound like he's just talking to himself, but he's just reading the audience to see if descent jokes will work. He's OK for a comedian. When you hit around age 30 or less, you've probably heard all this stuff before. Even at parties. Or a slow day at work. There are way funnier comics.

    • ​​@@ryanboughton3577Hes also touring right now. I just attended one of his (sold out) shows in California and he was absolutely hilarious. It was genuinely one of his funniest stand ups he's ever done. The guy just oozes comedy. He truly does have a talent. Some comedians are funny because they tell funny jokes. Tosh is funny because he's genuinely a hilarious person who can just talk for 90 minutes and be funny the entire time. There's a select few comedians who are actually funny people on and off the stage. Tosh and Bill burr are at the top of that list.

  • I’m always surprised that Tosh is never brought up on top comedian lists. Maybe it’s because he doesn’t get into the public eye much that he’s overlooked. His specials easily stand up to every other overpriced production.

    • George Carlin was a ground breaking one of a kind first that set a specific comedic genera that all stand up comics after him study. It's easy to see the influence. Rodney Dangerfield was another one. Robin Williams. Sam Kinison.

    • @@malibucomic2167 a restaurant/bar at the corner of Melrose and I think Alta Vista, not a dedicated comedy club but they had a comedy night at least back in 2014 when I met Tosh, I used to go to the improv every Wednesday and met so many talented stand-ups but Tosh I met down the street. I asked him why he shifted his style so much from his earliest standup to his show, and he told me that if he did the content that way the audience would eat him alive, smart man 😎

I can be pretty witty and decently funny, but I can barely get through a lazy conversation with my wife sometimes without misspeaking or transposing words lol. To be able to pull off these jokes in front of thousands of people, with perfect timing, delivery, and not a single misstep in speech is mind boggling.
