  • Fun fact: The director of this movie gave Ryan Reynolds a stack of deadpool comics and said read these. In those comics deadpool says "I look like Ryan Reynolds if he was bit by a radioactive dog" the rest was history

    • @@carlosrivas1629it wasn't that he was just a diva, despite the new actors and crew said. You read between the lines on all the stories and you see he was contractually obligated to be there, but didn't want to be after they not only tried to reduce Blade to a background character in a Blade movie(it was him acting the way he did that made them put him in the movie as much as he is), but they also heavily reduced his role behind the scenes. He was no longer consulted for choreography, which is why it's lacking, and they seriously tries to use the franchise he and the previous crew built up, as a vehicle to spinoff for the NightStalkers. It was messed up around.

  • I thought Purcell did a great job. He wasn't evil for the sake of being evil. He was a warrior from a time when mankind collectively had a much more, "kill or be killed" mentality. He was also an individual who cared about the prosperity of his species. He lived by a code of honor and he had respect. I don't know about the comics. But in this, he seemed like something of a reflection of Blade himself.

The backstage politics ruin the movie’s integrity, snipes looks annoyed throughout and Reynolds steals the show because he’s the only one having fun. The film has its moment for sure and surprisingly has a good amount of replay value. Blade Trinity is the literal example of the third chapter of the trilogy is the worst entry in the series.

  • As an archer I want to say that sense a bow has a set poundage, technically, the speed of the arrow should be constant. Now if you told me a bow could be “warmed up”, I’d say that makes sense. Keep in mind my experience is limited to a 45 pound Recurve and I’ve never clocked my arrows sooo I can hardly be take a confident stance. That being said, I *believe* my Grandpa had said that you could increase the poundage of a Compound. So maybe it was cutting out her tweaking it.

    @jrreedve2825@jrreedve28255 ай бұрын
    • Yes, the draw strength as well as the release power can be tweaked on a compound bow by adjusting the spacing and tension of the pulleys. Stronger release also means harder draw but it's a balance the archer has to find for themselves. Having the smooth nock-draw-release and tuned bow to send arrows out at NASCAR/Formua One speeds just sends home that Abby is a master with her chosen weapon just as Blade is with his.

      @valashar5313@valashar53135 ай бұрын
    • It isn't exactly constant, as a bow, while designed for a certain draw length, can function at other draw lengths. The weight of a bow is supposed to be a certain poundage to draw it back a specific distance, more weight will draw it back further. Some bows are designed with smaller tolerances, so overdrawing might be very dangerous, but some aren't and it'll be fine as long as it's only a bit extra. The weight of the arrow will also make a difference, as a longer arrow with the same diameter will obviously be heavier than the shorter arrow, and will take a bit more oomph to move at whatever speed the control arrow went, but a thinner arrow might be able to act as the appropriate grain weight arrow, and with the extra ft-lbs (lb-ft? one is torque (force), the other is linear (force), and I always mix them up because it super doesn't actually matter as long as you know if you're doing rotational or linear) it'll accelerate more during the release, meaning it'll start off faster. Air drag is always a thing in air. It's very close to constant, but not quite. As for compounds, yeah, you can change out the springs and string and make it higher tension, but most designs will want the arms to only be as strong as they need to be for the weight they made it, because it'll be cheaper to make, so you might break it if you didn't go fancy on the main body. There's only so much engine you can put in a car before it twists the frame apart instead of moving the car.

That is, they become easier to pull the more you draw. So if it makes sense for any bow to do what you were explaining, it's a compound bow.

  • 8:17 in scene When Wesley/Blade says "Use it." to Whistler I'm not sure if he means "Use It" as motivation for revenge, "Use IT" meaning use 1 of her weapons to kill Sommerfield before she turns, or a mix of both.

  • Dude rules. End of story. 🔔🔔🔔🔔 YES! It's such rush when younger folks (I'm 62, so, yeah 😁) acknowledge the greatness of country music giants ala "The Highwaymen", as a whole, and Waylon, John, Willie, and Chris individually. We just lost another "outlaw" earlier this month: RIP Toby. I'm sure the others in *that* choir welcomed him aboard! Thank you, dear! 🤗

  • Since there's a new Garfield movie coming out, could you do "Garfield: The Movie" (2004)? Apparently everyone hated it, but I grew up loving it. So much so that I honestly can't hear anyone but Bill Murray as Garfield, or at least someone with a similar tone.

  • You missed the best part about Abigail shooting her arrows. She broke a camera during the filming of that scene.

  • Blade is the perfect trilogy. The fist is the iconic beginning, the second is the big-budget high point, the third is the weakest but ties up the story arc with a genuine finale. And it does at least try something different, it doesn't just rehash entire plot lines from the earlier films. It does come off as try-hard attempt at cool, but that was how things were in the 00's, but it's still fun. Blade II is still my favourite, but Trinity does the mindless, fun action film perfectly fine and I do enjoy watching them all together as a three. And it was my introduction to Ryan Renolds. And yes, teenage me had a notable celebrity-crush on Jessica Biel, and in part for that workout routine and I make no apologies for it.

  • So you've done Blade, now. You going to do Underworld? Because I love those movies, despite their many, many flaws.

  • Huh... The ending i watched was different, it was a long time ago but there was an ending where blade woke up on the autopsy table and escaped, with Hannibal king narrating that since there were no more vampires, Blade went to sleep, waiting to be needed once more. The last time i saw the movie was when i had it on a disc with the previous movies
