The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

    • Well yes and no. MJ is often listed at 35 ppg in 87-88, but thats a rounded up average. In reality, he averaged 34.98 www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/pts_per_g_season.html If thats close enough for you, then its Kobe and MJ, but in reality its only Kobe

You do give Bill Walton an honorable mention for his game 6 performance in the 1977 NBA finals but I believe that that performance belongs nearer the top of the list with his 20 points, 23 rebounds, 8 blocked shots and 7 assists. For one, Walton had to contend with defending one of the most physically gifted teams in NBA history in the 76ers with Dr. J., George McGinnis, Doug Collins, Loyd “World B.” Free and Darryl Dawkins, to name just a few, and the clutch game clinching 109-107 win kept the 76ers from going back home to host game 7.

The following season I saw him improve as a leader tho, he made that young Laker squad as good as they could’ve been. Lucky for him he got a smart and all star worthy PF in Pau Gasol to balance out that rosters' talent and offensive shortcomings lol. its still kind of impressive how thats all he needed to turn the Lakers into a championship dynasty.

He may not have been good on offence. But he was one of the best defensive players ever and maybe the best on court generals . He lead the celtics to 11 rings over 13 seasons as the main reason for those wins. he has 2 championship years in college and has a gold in the olympics. Russell's leadership and play keeped Wilt from winning more rings than he did. just my option. and its all good. I can't argue for taking any of the others off the list. All are great.

  • It was quite surprising to put Curry on 2nd but I agree because after 2016 I stop watching NBA. His dominate 3pt shooting on that season definitely changed the game, after few season after 2016, every game and every team was 3pt tournament .

  • By the looks of @(3:06:11)the legend of David~Skywalker~Thompson is true when they said he could snatch a Silver dollar off of the Top of any backboard. In the picture we can clearly see his hand is only a few inches from the Top, anyway I have a story about Thompson while growing up in Denver. Back in '78 as an 11 yr old kid in a group home(St.Vincent, Lowell Blvd.)the Nuggets would come and visit our group homes, and this one time they came to our Gym to show us what they could do on the courts. Well let's just say at one time I had this polaroid picture where I was guarding David, and next to me over my head you could see his shoes as he was performing a 360 Dunk over everyone!!!

  • Great list and thorough analysis. But I do have a few issues #1 You have to separate perimeter defense and post defense. Especially now that today’s perimeter players are handicapped by the rules. #2 Jordan guarded Magic a majority of the 91’ finals and he is a better defender than Pippen. Pippen may have deserved a DPOY (96’ should have been his) but he didn’t win. MJ won while going up against all time great shot blocking big men. Also because MJ was so good on offense the focus on his defense went down. But his defensive IQ was unmatched, especially later in his career.
