  • One thing I love about Charles in telling his story is how he had enough self-awareness to know when he was doing something wrong or was holding on to emotional pain that wasn't helping him and made a change for the better. My favorite examples were him turning away from a potential life of juvenile delinquency when he thought about his grandmother while hiding from police in the woods and realizing the anger he had on the basketball court stemmed from childhood pain of having an absent father growing up. Not everyone does this.

Conveying how Chuck didn't care about anything when in fact he's one of the more sensitive people and really he was just trying to show people not everyone can be a pro athlete but can still do great things in life. Then openly talking about crying on different occasions and showing he's at touch with his feelings as well as the humility he shows consistently. Great interview

Chuck has never been shy about his feelings and thoughts. In expressing how he feels about people. Even if it separated and destroyed his relationship with them. This interview is what it is. Couch 🛋️ media conversation!!

  • Shannon's steady improvement with each interview/episode to the next is excellent and profoundly noticable! His questions, the way he allows the person to speak and tell their story without interrupting (unlike another top podcaster), adding and reacting where and as appropriate and even challenging the guest when required and managing to do it effectively while minimizing the feeling of it being confrontational, which lends to the guest being more forthwith and willing to answer more honestly. His entire demeanor is more relaxed and natural and his ability to keep things flowing makes for an enjoyable and entertaining time! Much props to him and the interesting content he elicits from his guests!
