Should have listened to my Dad....son take an auto mechanics course....I was 15.....Now in my sixties....I will have a lot of overdue enjoyment....sure beats rotting in a rocking chair....gripping about the present!!!
What a nice, personable approach to explain what you are doing during the swap, including all the lumps and warts. Anyone that has ever done engine swaps, would understand how the simplest things can go wrong. The part I hate the most, is when I have welded something up perfectly, and then found I was 180 degrees out. It never looks as good the second time.
Brent's videos are so great: informative, entertaining and satisfying. He never appears to take himself seriously and seems to enjoy what he does. And I laugh when he does. Super cool, golden, minty - all of them apply. Thanks for sharing.
my father was a welder, he regaled me with many stories of grape s#%t and snotty welds. you're doing pretty well.
Brent, all I have to say is that you are wonderful.
The east simple stuff gets me all the time.
Ah ha... Your more door 57 has a LS in it's future, is my guess 🙏😁👍 Love your channel @MrHeavyshevy
I hope I never have to dink around with an LS engine in my 57. I will have to leave that kind of pain in the ass to you. And who would of thought, that 5 pound sledgehammer wouldn't be the perfect tool for making those plastic lines. Lol Thanks for the video Brent. Looking forward to the next one.
You are very knowledgeable and creative thanks for sharing your creativity .
Awesome project. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. 💪👍🏼
Perfect Timing Brent Thanks and have a Super weekend of magic !
If someone has a problem with your welding, all they need to do is read the name of your show!!! It's a beautiful thing!!! Cased closed!!! Thanks Brent. Where are the pups today?
Thanks again Brent. you just got my weekend off to a great start here in Basingstoke.
I Saw something shiny on the floor of the shop and tought I was in the wrong channel
haha happens at times
As usual, great work ,always interesting how you pinpoint the obvious problems and fix them ,thanks for the videos ,take care
Ground is so important and tricky sometimes. I never have doubt you will get it started. Nice 👍
Kickass rod coming together 👍 Thanks for sharing!
Loving the 56 series! Thanks for sharing
I just love this guys attituded. Also a great mechanic and engineer.
You always plug along letting nothing bother you or slow you down. I like your style. Keep up the good work.
Just love it!, Gas tank Instructions we don't need no stinking instructions. Everything you do is just amazing. Thank You so much for sharing. I laughed out loud when you said the Aluminum water neck welding looked buggery and my wife asks, "what's so funny?" I just could not share that, she would NEVER understand. All the Best guy, Dennis
you pointed it out perfectly Brent, in today's tech human error is the broken link
Thanks for explaining your flaring tools. Pretty cool.
Instead of messing with the tank, run the return into the fuel filler, there's another metal tube between the filler and tank, run the return into the metal tube.
Love the content. My favourite channel. We don't get too many classic cars like what you build in my county (New Zealand). Great work
You are a talented fabricator. You know a way to make everything work and you keep it low buck like the average guy would have to.
My weekend is already perfect now, and it hasn't even begun lol! Thanks Brent, love it all! I find myself laughing with you like I'm standing next to you! Your videos are such a nice respite from all the crap going on these days. Watching you, a couple of cocktails and all is well.
those plastic lines sure are a time saver...and they will never rust out! win win!
You are a Friggin Machine... Great Job... Thanks for Sharing
When cleaning aluminum for welding acetone is your best friend.
@FLASH MAN warm soapy water even better.

That is the cleanest 56 underside !!!
Cheeze and rice man do you have skills. Im super impressed.
Yeah, out with the old single and in with the dual master for extra safety. That paint is just so fine on her & the underneath looks rock solid. 😎👍🇨🇦
As always, a great video! You never fail to inspire (me at least)!

No need... Brent fast forwards it appropriately for us!
Continua che sei bravissimo...
Great one 👌
Glad to see it just isn't me that has a hard time to make my stuff look good!! As well as doing an install that needs something ran that I forgot about! However!! My 57 looks really nice considering the amount of "laying under, and cussing at it!!" I did for these past 18 years!!
Parts are in Kool Thanks for sharing
16 yrs old me and a buddy swapped motors in his car and was putting a golden rocket in his olds and we tried and tried to get it started and even had my dad look at it and while it was being cranked I grabbed a ground cable hanging down and touched it to the motor and it fired right off
Nice work sounds good
Raining here so THANKS!!
Raining here in Upstate New York as well. This makes for a good distraction.
Awesome as usual.!
Great work
The focus you have on the goal is insperational. That 4.8 is going to be stronger, quiet and fuel efficient.🙏😁👍 Thanks for sharing
This forum showed I didn't "full watch " this vid🤔 Back to rewatch 👍 live stream was cool the other day 🙏😁🤔👍
You make the complicated simple.
This '56 is going to be a fun little daily driver. I would love to build something like this for myself but tri 5 stuff is so pricey in the US. Great work and as always awesome content
keep the great work man
When I was a teenager, a 327 cu.in. motor with a Muncie 4 speed was a popular setup for the tri fives. I would love to drive any one of the three with an LS and an automatic.
Thumbs up bro viewing all your video i from Singapore 🇸🇬
Another good glimpse at what to do and what not to do lol like lube ur shoe lol done that a few times 😅 And the trouble shootin information is always valuable
Looking good, maybe consider disc brakes for the front end, with the extra Go under the bonnet, it is the Idiots you have to worry about, some stop early etc, you need to be able to stop too! Have some V8 burble when you put an exhaust on, not loud but not too quiet either.
Drum brakes stop just as well, but more prone to brake fade.
It really doesn't matter how long your videos are Brent... it's always good content that is fun to watch, and if anything they would be too short sometimes in my humble opinion lol.
Excellent video Halfass Kustoms (Brent) :) yes sometimes simple things be left out happens and one is ground agree Lol! That ground talking about is Memory and fun figuring with is faulty or not hook up ! I have my share fix up them too and it challenge too!
It's always the small things that will get ya.
Very Cool Thanks Halfass
Awesome! Top Dawg Carona and I were looking for some entertainment!
I was wondering about the engine to body grounds as you didn't mention them . Been there done that . Great video and I love 56 Chevy's .
Hi there new to your channel really enjoying it your a talented guy
I like how it's your car when building it. Ya gotta tell the guy spring for a set of shock thoseon that car don't look to good. Great build.
And disc brakes up front. Got LS power to stop
I really am liking the 56 Brent . I also love the Panel Truck being a truck guy . Oh !!! By the way I got the 07 f150 going . I had replaced the the ignition plug coils and cleared the computer , come to fine out 3 of the new coils were defective. So $ 700 bucks later it is running fine. You could have saved this ole Hillbilly some $$$ if I could have got to you .
Thanks another great video, your phone rang a couple of times during the video and it sounds just like mine and I started looking for my phone ha !
IT'S ALIVEEEEEEE!!!!!!
great content and really dig the music. peace
Unboxing Christmas 1956 in July 2021, goodies n brakes fo da drums, n be tankful fer da fuel lines n quick connects r run'd, fuel pump mounted n plumb'd. LS wiring n HPTuners, ground wires n ignition key later not sooner, live wired n fired up she's a crooner. In da 56 no ear muffs needed, pablo n dad rumbled along seated, in da Merc ear muffs were needed.
Brent I am just now appreciating how the mixing up of projects keeps the videos interesting. Good idea. But there are some cars I would like to see get done like the 54 Chevy maybe the 49 Merc and I think you have a 41 Ford and a 49 Ford in the yard somewhere. All good projects.
Nice job🤟👍🥰 from uk.
For a "backyard" mechanic you sure do know your digitals. Between the wiring, sensors, O2 sensors, onboard computes. That has always been ones Achilles heel. Keep up the the good shows.
it's alive!!!! 👍👍👍🍻🍻
I sure like your videos.
woot new vid its a great day now
I’ve run into the ground issues myself 👍
Trying to put a ls on my 1957 f100 .. just finish with installing a crown vic suspension..u made the ls hardness look eazy.
