  • Dear son Hafthor Julius, I drove 914 miles from Sioux Falls, SD with my two grandsons to watch you deadlift 1000 and despite requiring only 966 to win, you delivered us what we came for! God bless you my son, and congratulations!

If mitch has pushed deadlift further he may not have been able to win the frame carry or even risk injury

    • His grip is finally strong enough. Grip strength takes longer to build and he was not doing grip training as well when he won his first Arnold. Grip is the main thing on that frame carry - you stop the swinging then you can walk in up - if it swings you cannot walk it. The weight itself is not so bad - if it was a yolk they would have no problem even though it is uphill.

  • Seeing you competing and performing like 'that', 'live' was absolutely surreal, Hafthor! It was nostalgic! Massive and heartiest congratulations on your *15th One Thousand Pound Deadlift!* (yes that's not a typo), nobody else has achieved such an outrageous number with the monumental four digits. A lot of people dream to hit that number as a lifetime goal, and only 27 or something from the entire planet has achieved it. You have done it 15 times! You also made many so called analysts, keyboard heroes and prediction gurus eat a humble pie and do a reality check on on your grip which is absolutely world class with that *phenomenal Timber carry (4th fastest time ever)!* My favourite moment was when you said I love you guys to your beloved wife and children, after winning the Deadlift! ❤ What a fantastic day 1. Lets do you best during day 2 as well. No matter what result you will achieve today, the love and support of us will never diminish. Look how much the fans love you... *Koma Svo, the Strongest Man to have ever lived!* --- _With refer to the 505 this year, I would have not believed if any of the 8.1 billion on earth (other than you) if they said it's possible. But for you nothing is impossible. If your body is recovered around year end, by all means and I say it as Icelandic as possible to the best of my ability: KOMA SVO!! Go for it Hafthor!!_

Also whatever you did for frame prep worked! Your frame was a huge surprise! What a great improvement! As your pressing comes back, incorporating the split leg for the overhead or the side step for dumbell i.e Novakov would be amazing! Hooper, Licis, and Novakov get so much mileage out of that. Great show, Hafthor! Be positive, you've done great on your long road back
