  • Those York plates with the thick hub at 10:15-10:30 were the only olympic weights in the weight room at the base gym in St Hubert Quebec, when I was working out there in 1979-1980. I knew they were old, but to find out they were from the 1930s is amazing. they had about 8 of the 45s and about 4 of the 35 and 25s each from the same set/timeframe.

  • At the beginning, those plates purchased in 1959 are in better shape, than most plates in modern gyms today. Efren CARES about this stuff and wants it to stay in the best shape it can be.
