    • @@benjenkins3220 It can be harder for some to love and respect themselves. I didn’t until I met my wife, and we had our son. At first, it was only for them. But after about a year I realized that to them, I’m one of if not the most impactful person in their lives. I realized that even though my scars do ache sometimes, there are people who genuinely love me and need me. Going pro just wasn’t in the works for me. Doc says if I take any more jaw damage, they’ll have to wire it to keep it in place. My advice is rather useless, but I’ll offer it nonetheless. Persevere. There is a lot of hurt, pain, sadness, and suffering in this world. But there’s also love, joy, beauty, and genuine happiness. Life is bittersweet. But I keep in mind all the things I’ve been blessed to have or experience. Keep going. It’s a long, sometimes frustrating and painful journey. But all good things along the way make it worth it.

  • 100% not to mention not paid too much unless you make it famous, you need an online big personality to be successful as winning fights will only get you so far, an in injury can just fuck the whole career, no clubbing or alcohol or late nights, just one mistake aka a loss means your record is severely less impressive as the loss of ‘undefeated’ makes a boxer/fighter perceived as much less impressive. And many more like outside of coaching if you don’t make it big by the time you are 30… it’s not gonna happen and you have no degree or work experience and end up a dead end boring job. I fight for fun and not for a career good luck though

  • This is exactly why I want to go Into this. I have no friends and no family and have been lonely since growing up. I don't have interest in any other thing besides fighting. I've been in fair number of fights in my life time and found myself to be pretty good at it and I just feel a sort of thrill, like an excitement to the point where people thought I was crazy bcuz I was always smiling after a fight. Nothing is special about me tho, I just find enjoyment in fights and have pretty good reflexes and Instinct for an average person according to my coach. As am typing this am in my gym room, lonely and just getting ready to practice some movements and do my daily workout routine. I hope I can one day get Into this, I have nothing to lose anyways. I don't really cherish my life tbh..just depressed 24/7 I'd want to atleast go out doing sumn that calls to me and I find thrilling
