As a rat owner for many years, how your head did not become Mars's toilet is a mystery to me. Also banana is rodent crack so it ending up in the final product was totally on point 😄. The only thing that would have gotten a stronger reaction is peanut butter or chocolate chips (which are not that good for them, but not toxic to them the way they are for dogs).

it clearly did. He states at the end of the video that rats have no bladder control (which is true). He clearly experienced constant pee on his head and likely several poops through the experience if he knew about it.

i mean, to be fair rats do have bladder control. they very carefully control their bladder to piss on everything they love. and they can be trained to poop in a litter box. so they have control, they just choose not to use it.

I usually get anxious whenever I see creators and “influencers” use rats in their content bc of their Obvs poor research prior to handling them but seeing the comments from rat owners complimenting max was such a huge sigh of relief! Really amazed how well and comfortable this whole video went!!!!

Mars is absolutely adorable. I feel people don't really get that rats are very smart and very sweet like an average pet is
As a rat owner for many years, how your head did not become Mars's toilet is a mystery to me. Also banana is rodent crack so it ending up in the final product was totally on point 😄. The only thing that would have gotten a stronger reaction is peanut butter or chocolate chips (which are not that good for them, but not toxic to them the way they are for dogs).
When I had poket puppies, the thing they loved the most was chicken. That food frenzy is something else.
I’m guessing that the comment about “bladder control” at the very end their is alluding to some cut out moments that you probably wouldn’t want to include in a video about cooking lmaooo
@@magspie04 I came here to make this comment.
it clearly did.
I lost my little friend Ratthew 2 weeks ago, it makes me happy seeing rats in a good spotlight. They're the most adorable little creatures. I wish I would've tried cooking with him.
Ratthew is such a cute name!
Awesome name because you can just call him Ratt. Easy to remember.
I am so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

I want one so bad. My sister had one but she also warned me that it’s hard owning a rat because you get emotionally attached but their lifespan is only like 3 years :/

It is very nice to see some positive representation of rats from a major youtuber. They are incredibly misunderstood creatures.
Yeah yet people won't 2nd guess a hamster when choosing a small pet which are 100x more vicious than rats would ever be. Hamsters have no issue with biting you yet I've never seen a rat do anything but give little kisses
Usually people have an affinity with tiny tings. Hamsters are smaller than rats. The amount of horror stories I've heard from classmates that had hamsters though.... Never knew they were that cannibalistic@@WhittaII
Well, that's probably because of all the wild ones that have nasty diseases. But pet ones are lovely no doubt.
Yeah, so glad that no one went "ewww rat", it's just a funny video with an adorable rat. Arguably makes you realize that they're lovable creatures
@@clementinesoup Stray dogs can have rabies, and outdoor cats completely screw up the ecosystem, but we still think those are cute.

a wild rat and a domesticated rat are as different as a house cat and a tiger.
One of my favorite pets as a child was a Chinese Hooded Rat named Gino. He was such a cuddler and I often took him to school inside of my hoodie pocket. Trained him to do all sorts of tricks with the aid of bits of whatever I was eating. He -really- liked Fruit Loops.
What happened to him

How did your classmates react to him ? I'm curious
@@trazyianajones456 Well... Most of the girls didn't like it. I was called names due to it. Already picked on significantly, bringing Gino made it worse. That being said, there were positives. A few teachers really loved him and would give him treats before and after class. A few students enjoyed his antics too. Most of my friends loved the chubby little guy. All in all... It did not make me popular nor did it make Middle through Highschool easy. It is still a very fond memory though.
@@Sanctum6900 that's too bad if some people didn't like it, but it seems like it was worth it. Good story, thank you.
