8 Signs You Are A Sigma Male - The Rarest of All Men

2022 ж. 4 Мам.

Here are 8 signs you’re a sigma male! When it comes to the rarest of all men, the sigma male is in a league of his own. He’s confident, intelligent, charismatic, and considered a high value man. He knows what he wants and doesn’t let anyone stand in his way. This guy does what feels right in his heart and mind and does not care about what others think about him.
Sigma men are very different from the other male archetypes: alpha, beta, delta, gamma, and omega males. And that’s because sigma men have their own unique traits and behaviors. Often referred to as the lone wolf, the sigma man values independence and freedom above everything else. He doesn’t like being controlled and doesn’t follow rules or conventional wisdom. This type of guy makes his own rules and creates his own path.
It definitely takes a certain type of man to be a sigma. If you’re wondering whether or not you’re a sigma male yourself, watch this video for some signs to look out for.

  • When I worked Pipeline I was quiet and surrounded by loud mouth mostly wanna be Alphas. I was also one of the older guys on the crew. I worked hard and got stuff done. My boss actually gave me new people to train because I had good knack for it. I had a younger lady that put with me to train and at the end of the job she said she loved having me as a trainer. She said you lead people without being nasty about it. She said that I should try for a management position with the company. I said thank you but I wasn’t interested in the politics of that kind of position. I now run a successful plumbing and drain cleaning business. By myself and am done with the corporate world.

  • This is the 2nd video I watched in as many days that describes characteristics and traits of a sigma male. I never knew or heard of Greek alphabet assignments to label men, aside from alpha or beta males, neither of which describes me. That said, these two videos blew my mind at how they nailed me. Now that I know they have definitions from Alpha through Omega, I am going to watch one of each to see if o feel like they align with me as much as Sigma does. Sometimes the way things are phrased or worded, can sound right. I’m going to see, but I am doubting it.

I am almost 83 and I can still adapt to any changes. Today I live in South America though I am a french-speaking Swiss citizen. Tomorrow I could esasily life anywhere on the planet. I speak very fluently 8 languages. I am an economist and I have travelled for business around the whole planet during 57 of my more than 82 years. I am still learning new languages and giving courses. I even just joined a group of french businessmen and women, some of which have been my students and we are looking for projects to finance from Europoe in all continents. I don't feel my age. • I have some of these traits, I was beta for a long time but I have been working on self improvement for the last year and a bit and have become more confident in myself, I believe I am a mixture of alpha and sigma - I am no longer afraid to speak my mind, I don't care what people think of me, I enjoy my own company now - the old me needed to have people around me to feel good, I have an abundance mindset once again, I am now ambitious - I know what I want to do in my life and now devoting my time and energy into making it happen, I am always willing to learn new things - I read and always watch videos on improving myself and how I can help others. An ex that I do want to be with brought out the potential in me, she broke up with me multiple times which is how I got to where I am now - in my eyes shes a dime because no woman that I have met in my entire life has inspired me to change like she did.

Just as those who want people around them all the time "social butterflies". I am sure those people view the same way sigmas view them, how could you be that way? To each their own, my energy gets drained faster the more people I am around. I NEED MY SOLITUDE TO RECHARGE! Not to be antisocial! I think people that cannot be alone have a problem, meaning when you are alone you will break easily. I can be amongst people or not, it makes no difference to me.

A lot of girls have interest in me but 35 still single, i've dated couple of girls but it didnt work out at the end the way I wanted but still respected by all my ex's. If someone wants to take on me, sooner or usually later they will get the impact when they are most vulnerable, until they mentally collapse, doesn't matter who it is. Sigma's are empathic but never ever take advantage of that, there is where we become even more cold hearted then a psychopath but without any violence just mental destruction.

  • This video is excellent. (tldr) 10 people tell you a few things, take a bit and make up something that works for you until you can upgrade your mind. Long part It helps some like me remember they can be whatever they want. Something I learned from an archery mentor is what I want to add to this. "A few people will teach/tell/train/make you put an arrow in the middle, take a little of what they told you and make it your own style." I stopped shooting after 8 years. When I pick up a bow I can still hit a target and teach someone after 6 years. Because of the style I made on my own with the help of everyone that I listened to even if they weren't talking directly to me but knew I was actually listening. I have no idea what someone else would label me as. But in every moment I feel like I have a personality disorder, I don't. People don't say my name, they just call me a few words and know they are talking about me And that hurts a lot. I get over it because of people like Christopher Walken and Jackie Chan and people that spend their free time making and learning from videos like this in between working or a hobby.

  • Though this video is a month old at least, if there is anyone who gets this message, I have one thing to say: It appears to be a common misconception that everyone falls somewhere on a "gray continuum between extremes". In reality, there is a distinct split between those who favor group protection (the majority--like fish in schools), and those who favor self protection, for whatever reason (like me and stragglers of the same species of fish which also congregate in schools. As it is in nature, so it is with human beings). Favoring self protection DOESN'T mean having the same ability to be "independent" as members of collective society have, because the majority define the dominant paradigm and almost consciously work to keep outsiders out. Even without that, however, there is still a serious limitation where participating in collective society is concerned, and therefore a certain dependence on others which characterizes outsiders.

  • 1:50 Social skills of sigma males aren’t rusty, we just realize that listening is usually better than talking all the time. This is how we thrive - by taking in all of the information possible. We thrive on knowledge, often times. Then, when it is time to say to something - it’s much more substantial - and whether it’s recognized as such or not - powerful, very powerful. This is the prowess of the rare sigmatic male creature.

Sigma males are very good with people, very much people persons - which I think is actually a pretty rare thing. I mean, people get along for the most part or whatever, but people who thrive with people, with and without, that’s a really great and interesting trait, and generally speaking that’s something that makes the human experience special, Even if some are more individualistic than others…

  • My husband is so similar to the "sigma" male you just profiled! At work, he's widely admired and appreciated for his technical expertise, while he avoids "formal leadership roles." I've always been really envious of "sigma" males, as women with these traits tend to struggle, both at work and socially. Among women, a "Maverick" female co-worker tends to be alienating (and maybe even alienating to the men?).The "double standard" at work!

The cast is filled by the detective (Willem Dafoe), the fiance (Reese Witherspoon), the mistress (Samantha Mathis), the coworker (Jared Leto), and the secretary (Chloë Sevigny). This is a biting, wry comedy examining the elements that make a man a monster.

    • Ruth - Absolutely. There's a double standard with everything when it comes to men vs women. This categorization applies to men but not to women? Assertive, intelligent and independent women are "bossy bitches" or "feminazis". Men are "leaders". What a pile of 💩. Odd how you can't say the "N" word, although everyone knows what you mean, but you can say "bitch" and other derogatory words with impunity. Women make less money for the same work. Ideas women put forth are often summarily dismissed. Bachelors are "players". Women are "old maids". Interestingly however that some of the most progressive countries in the world, NZ, Iceland, etc. are led by women. Who'd a thunk it! "Double standard" for sure.

  • Glad I came across this video. Well done, and thanks. I'm not one for categorizing myself at all, because I know that people use these categories for snap judgements about a person and I have no desire at all to be categorized, much less making it easier for people to think they know me. That said, "Sigma" fits me. For example, if it anyone wants to know me, they have to be interested enough to dig, and most are not. I do not ever give up anything about myself voluntarily. I do find that I have very little interest in knowing or interacting with other males who are parked firmly in the "male hierarchy" especially those who voluntarily label and categorize themselves as a means of "fitting in somewhere, anywhere". I'm beginning to realize the other males I find most worthy of my time, effort and trust, and to whom I relate best, are other sigmas, which as you say are pretty rare. That seems to be why I am so picky about who my friends are and that I have few although I am far from being a loner. More lately, I have distanced myself from old friends and acquaintances because I realized how little we still have in common. What we once had in common turned out was more a matter of being in same place at the same time, usually as part of our processes of finding our way in life, be it in school, the military, etc. I eventually figured out that maintaining those old relationships by trying to find more contemporary common ground is an exercise in frustration and futility. So... I let 'em go. And I'm fine with it. No resentment, regret, or guilt. I'm plenty happy with the few truly trustworthy people in my life, because we see one another clearly and value each other because of our common traits, perceptions, and interests. I find that I get all the validation I need from others by honestly contributing value to the things I think are important. Validation is not a goal, contributing is.
