Bruins fan here...clean hit. Very unfortunate, doesn't seem like it's in the cards for Carlo to keep playing given how many of these he's already had. Clutterbuck is obviously a very tough, physical player, but a guy who plays pretty straight up. No issue with that hit at all

Def a clean hit that happens 100 times a year. This one just happened to be the bad one. As for Carlo playing again this post season the bruins sound very optimistic he will be back. The bruins have shown they aren’t gonna rush guys back.

Refs are horrible these playoffs. The league may need to get a goon back on every team to regulate things. I don’t remember any playoffs where we have seen so many guys get devastating concussions, stretchered off ice and a fair amount that were a penalty were not called on ice. Kevan Miller got a elbow to the jaw on a late hit from a guy who launched off his feet (that would be illegal in the NFL). The Graves hit was late and dirty. The hit on Evans was outrageous and clearly pure frustration from Scheifele. Cory Perry was an honest mistake and the fight after still was needed so things didn’t get out of hand.

Everyone blowing this way out of proportion. Hockey fans love to see the physical game, especially in the playoffs. Isles are down a goal and clutter buck throws a beautiful hit. This is sports guys, stop bringing “class” in to it. Cause frankly, isles fans could care less about what you mother Teresa’s have to say. Grow up, guy made a hard hockey play and the fans got into it.

This is just an unfortunate hit but it was clean. Now I am concerned for Carlo but can we just talk about the Islanders fans for a second. After a guy who's been clearly injured down on the ice, these guys still chants "Boston Sucks." Not to mention the countless chants throughout the game.
He’s already prone to concussions. Not a good sign for him.

Bruins fan here...clean hit. Very unfortunate, doesn't seem like it's in the cards for Carlo to keep playing given how many of these he's already had. Clutterbuck is obviously a very tough, physical player, but a guy who plays pretty straight up. No issue with that hit at all

Hockey helmets aren’t worn by the players to prevent this stuff, if they were all players would have 3-point straps and wear cages for safety, they don’t.
They've had this conversation in the NFL before. Only way to prevent concussions with our current technology is to put what are basically airbags in the helmet, which is nowhere close to practical

Refs are horrible these playoffs. The league may need to get a goon back on every team to regulate things. I don’t remember any playoffs where we have seen so many guys get devastating concussions, stretchered off ice and a fair amount that were a penalty were not called on ice. Kevan Miller got a elbow to the jaw on a late hit from a guy who launched off his feet (that would be illegal in the NFL). The Graves hit was late and dirty. The hit on Evans was outrageous and clearly pure frustration from Scheifele. Cory Perry was an honest mistake and the fight after still was needed so things didn’t get out of hand.
