I am estatic Hurts is showing his improvment as a passer, but I will continue to say His big body and rushing ability helps him be a good dual treat QB.

  • Jalen did the same thing when he was in Oklahoma. He was in the MVP running. Makes no logical sense why you would be surprised at him playing well in the NFL especially since he has good Wr’s now. Look at Aaron Rogers without Devante Adams. He’s in his second year in the system and has better wr’s. He was always a good passer. Just had to get used to his system. He still led his team to the playoffs with rookie coaches and wr’s. Pretty impressive.

I was called disrespectful to Russ and delusional lmao, well here we are and he's a leader for MVP, Russ stinks, not only does Hurts have an insane work ethic, he has that BRADY-LIKE ability to put the team on his back and win games, this man will eventually be a HOF QB, you heard it here first.

  • "For everybody other than the most DIE-HARD Philly fans, NOBODY saw this coming." Well, I'm wasn't a Die-Hard Philly Fan. I'm A Die-Hard Jalen fan 1st. I became a Die-hard Philly fan in the process. But the people who ALWAYS knew Jalen was going to do this were the people who paid attention to the game and not the NARRATIVES created by the media and couch coaches. When Jalen finally spoke to the media after the Tua Benching he stated, "Its too late to say anything now. The narrative has already been created." He saw the hate EARLY. But when you factor that he's the ONLY TRUE Freshman QB to play for Saban, to win QB awards that year and set records EVERY SINGLE YEAR he played REGARDLESS of the team, and How could you miss it? He was in the playoffs EVERY YEAR that he started (NFL AND COLLEGE) and every team he left failed to make it the year after he left (ALABAMA and OKLAHOMA). Now add that to the fact that he did all this and MORE while NEVER having the same system, playbook or Offensive coordinator for 2 years in a row since HIGH SCHOOL and you have to ask yourself again...how could you NOT see this coming. Consistency beats failure every time because due to what failure is made of, consistency can't co-exist with it. Go Jalen and Fly Eagles Fly.

At Oklahoma, he had first time offensive linemen, His TE retired and his starting running back was injured all season. Jalen put that team on his back and won the Big 12 and was a Heisman finalist. Imagine if he had Baker and Murray's offensive line.

  • Nobody saw it coming? Just the football fans from the states of Oklahoma and Alabama, as well as the city of Philadelphia. If Jalen Hurts' success surprises you, then you were just sleeping on the man. Since he was 18 years old and took the starting job away from a highly touted 5 star, to losing that job to another NFL prospect, only to stay on the bench to work on his passing with Sarkisian, and Saban's staff. To OU, under Riley, to Heisman finalist to second round pick. Plenty of folks saw this coming.

  • Eagles fan here: I think it's unlikely that Hurts maintains his MVP-caliber pace through the entirety of this season. That said, dude obviously has an insanely strong work ethic, and it shows in how much he was able to improve as a passer in one offseason. I won't be surprised if he cools back off as the season goes on, only to surprise everybody with his level of play again at the start of next season. I think he'll be one of the most interesting QBs to watch their development for the next few seasons.

    • why? with everything the video just showed, why do you think that? hes much better, the offensive line might be the best in football, and he has stud recievers. other then not facing a top cailber defense yet, there really isnt a reason to suspect regression.

  • he literally jus runs the ball he not a good qb

    @Jusluw@Jusluw Жыл бұрын
  • Hard disagree. He's better but Hurts struggles to throw in the red zone, still bails too early, and the Eagles aren't a high scoring offence. Hurts arguably has pro bowl caliber players at both WRs, at RB, at TE, and 3-4 of his OLs. A top QB should be scoring 30+ points per game with this much support. If Hurts ever has to throw on every down is order to come back and win a game I don't think he can do it.

    • Why throw in the red zone with a strong running game? Just keep on finding shit to come up with.

    • @@rec30 Because running doesn't always work? How many teams run the ball all the way down to the red zone and then when it'd 2nd and 3rd and goal they can't score.

    • @@rec30 like I said, the time will come when he has to throw to win the game. Look what happened in the play offs when they were down against TB. How much better would Hurts be today in that situation?

      @ronsaustin@ronsaustin Жыл бұрын
    • @@flexadventure4192 name those teams? Because if the got eagles 2nd & goal best believe they punching it in on the ground. Throwing in the red doesn't always work. I've seen Brady & Rodgers just to name a couple come up short in the red zone when Throwing it every down. But To answer your question the field get shorter teams can load the box on the goal line that's why they don't get in & That's why play action bootleg plays are so effective on the goal line and short down situations.

  • Failen Hurts is not now, nor will he ever be an NFL caliber quarterback. To win Super Bowls in this league you need Josh Allens, Patrick Nahomes, Justin Herberts, etc. He is a glorified running back with the IQ of an ice cube. Stop the madness.

    • I agree. He's so not an NFL QB that I can't even be mad it's sooo impressive that the Eagles offense is this good with him. They were up 14-0 last week and Hurts had not made one single NFL throw or even broke one tackle as a runner. It's insane. Their tight end averages 50 RAC per game.. that's ABSURDLY good play design and down field blocking. He throws nothing but slants, RPOs, screens and checkdowns and honestly isn't that special of a runner either (he doesn't have blazing speed and he doesn't make people miss.) But then you look at the scoreboard and there are magically 30 points on the board. Boggles the mind

    • @@MarliQQLuv people love to call these athletic QB’s “low IQ” when they’ve achieved at every single level in football up to this point. I wonder what the reason is… I’m sure it has absolutely nothing to do with our vast history of white supremacy displayed in America to this day.

    • @@comebackqing8452 All complete bullshit. He is top 10 in yards per completion. He's shown downfield passing, he's thrown to all sides of the field. If all you see is slants and RPO's then you're clearly not watching at all.

    • @@dankburrito8345 I never see him hit a receiver that's not open by at least 3 yards.. unless he chucks into AJ Browns general vicinity and let's him bully his way to the football. AJ Brown beat a corner off the line of scrimmage, was 2 steps ahead of him the entire route, and had to completely stop and box the defender out because the ball died mid flight like it was shot out of the air. He does not and CANNOT make NFL throws into tight windows and his accuracy isn't consistent enough to beat defenses with timing and anticipation. The Eagles have the best o-line, a pro bowl TE, receiver and running back and apparently the best play designer in NFL history. We've seen lots of one year wonder type QBs. Especially mobile ones behind a dominant offensive line or a gimmicky offense. He's the latest edition, and with much much much less arm talent and athleticism than Colin Kaepernick, Cam Newton, Mitch Trubisky, Mike Vick (in that one Eagles season) Tyrod Taylor ect.
