The craziest thing is we haven’t had an AVERAGE pass rush since 2017 he’s doing this with the QB having a clean pocket imagine when we do get a pass rush
facts.
which is exactly why he should be a Ram
@@Jalen_Ramseys_Burner yeah maybe if we can get Jalen Ramsey, Aaron Donald, and Cooper Kupp :)
@Jalen Ramsey burner you guys are loaded wtf do you need with our DB”s …Hollywood MF

It's a shame that this man did not get a pro bowl nod. Loved the in-depth breakdown as usual!
He should have been 1st team all-pro lol
but Diggs did😭
@@laurinnn Diggs was pretty good dude. Just because he played for the cowboys don't mean he ain't good. He led the league in turnovers
@@_SayitAintSo Diggs was not pretty good, he was average lmao
@@laurinnn he was not. he just plays a high risk high reward game, playing in phase every time. he was awesome last season.
AJ was special when he was here at clemson, but this type of skill jump in one off season is incredible. Really proud of the guy and I hope he keeps getting better.
Got cooked in the championship
@@chuckmullens5909 Who hasn’t Chase and Jefferson cooked?🤦🏾♂️
@@chuckmullens5909 He still cooking DBs in the NFL, they were perfect throws anyway. No one could have covered the Burrow/Chase connection that night.
@@chuckmullens5909Devonta Smith cooked Derek Stingley Jr., Ceedee Lamb cooked Patrick Surtain II, Julio cooked pat Pete, AB cooked Chris Harris Jr., Terrell Owens cooked Champ Bailey, Randy Moss cooked Darelle Revis. The point is every corner has a guy that beats them so it doesn't take away from the corner themselves.
Aj probably had a hella of off-season
I wasn’t high on him coming out of college and I thought the falcons reached but man did he pay off. U love to see it
I was high on Terrell coming out and wondered why he wasn’t getting more love. Thought he was the 2nd best after Okudah followed by Diggs. Either way they definitely picked the right guy though 🤷🏽♂️
His stock plummeted after Burrow and Chase TORCHED him in the National Championship
@@PhreshVibes-_- KEY 🔑 WORD……Burrow and Chase🫠
@@HartofSports Yep - as a falcons fan I cannot be happier they saw through that game
@@PhreshVibes-_- even then he was never "torched" it was coachable mistakes. He struggled tracking the ball in the air but he kept of step for step with chase
This was my first time I watched any NFL break down, and WOW I'm really surprised by the amount of detail that goes into each play and the the way you broke down everything is really impressive, big up to you! Wish you all the success
Great comment!
Facts bro. Learned this back I'm 2004 and been a die hard football fan ever since. It's really like chess!
Bro, I stumbled across your channel a couple days ago and I am thoroughly blown away by how in depth and detailed your breakdowns are. Keep up the good work!
Yet again, another amazing breakdown! Love the videos. Keep it up.
Heck yes dude. This is the analysis I crave! Too bad network sports channels only like talking about off the field controversy and twitter. Bravo! 👏🏼
this was my first time on this channel, you do a great job of explaining coverage in a way that’s easy to understand and I’ll definitely be back to watch more videos.
Really enjoy your analysis on all your videos. Can’t wait for next season coming up. Keep it coming bro!
Your videos keep getting better and better love to see it man
Great content as usual, Billy! I was equally as baffled as you were when I saw that zone coverage chart. I was like "wait, what?", and had to rewind. hahaha Cheers from Brazil! Keep up the great content!
so hyped to see him play this season. great video as always
Love your breakdowns
Please don’t stop breaking down film and making videos like these. These are teach tapes man, and I’m sharing this with everyone! Been looking for something like this since I was in high school!
good vid . I never heard of this guy but will be watching now
Solid video! I learn a lot here
Bro, AJ had a good rookie season in 2020 lol. The clip you showed in the Vikings game, of him getting beat by Jefferson at the end. We were blowing them out. And Raheem Morris was the intern head coach. And started to play prevent defense lol. He gave Jefferson that touchdown.
He gave up 901 yards and 70% completion rate wouldn’t call that a good rookie season
@@JG-on6vu Bro, I'm a die hard Falcons fan lol. And AJ Terrell had a "good' rookie season. I didn't say he had a "great " rookie season. Trevon Diggs gave up over a thousand yards last season. More than AJ rookie season in 2020 That's why "stats " aren't everything.
@@jarvasedundy1 Right I expect a rookie CB to give up yards Diggs wasn't a rookie and gave up over 1K yards.
First time finding your channel. Awesome content. I really love it man!
you make phenomenal videos sir 🔥

love the video man, keep up the great work
Great clarity of information. Subscribed and looking forward to more content like this 👍
Appreciate it Bondo
phenomenal breakdown and analysis
An exceptional breakdown of something I knew nothing about.
Dang good video man
Gaining more football knowledge with every video, thanks bro
great content
When’s the Super Bowl breakdown comin? Just found your channel and have watched almost every single video you do amazing work
good stuff Bro
Phenomenal football channel. Keep going,
Damn that was an awesome video I was not expecting from a a small channel. Very knowledgeable. Thank you keep up the good work. Love the falcons even if they suck 😅
this is the most underrated channel on youtube.
After seein that Trevor Lawrence video, would love to see a Zach Wilson vid! Keep it up b🙌🏻
On the RZ play against CAR, he got some nice help from the LB who blew up the TE coming across behind the line. I think that played well with the timing of the tackle. Great defense all around by ATL
Literally my fav CB all year I kept telling people about him but they’d automatically write him off because he was on the falcons. I’m glad his numbers back him up cause he’s special to watch on the field
Thank you
This is fucking phenomenal work. I think we can chalk this up to all the copycatting of the Seahawks single-high, despite not having the personnel to make it work, was getting secondaries torched. Putting your CBs, especially young and inexperienced ones, on islands in zone coverage without elite safety help is a recipe for disaster. But the league has been trending back to more two-deep shells to slow down all the pass-happy vertical offenses the last few years. This jives with what Pees brought to the Falcons, and it seems especially suited for Terrell specifically. Smart zone corner who can play with proper technique at all times but also have 1st round athleticism. Very interesting that his man coverage also increased. I would bank on that being them cleaning up his technique, because as you pointed out he was playing too far off at release in "no man's land" where he's too far off to get hands on but too close to flat-foot things etc. If he can at least be "good" in man like he was last year while being a dominant zone corner, he's going to have a nice long career as a Pro Bowler. Side note, I wonder if this helps explain why PFF has been slamming almost every LB in coverage the last 2 years. You hit the nail on the head with that one catch, which was technically in his coverage area but not his direct fault, but more the scheme's fault. And I think that can help explain what might be going on with LBs. If defenses were running a lot of Cover-3 and offenses were going downfield in their gameplan to beat it or otherwise checking down underneath it, that doesn't leave too many opportunities for LBs to screw up in coverage. And those check downs give them opportunities to clean up with stops underneath which help boost coverage scores. But if defenses switch to running more 2-deep to slow down pass-happy offenses, then that means offenses are working the intermediate areas more often with route concepts specifically designed to prey on the LBs underneath. Either with hi-lo stuff or triangle reads to stretch areas etc. Being targeted in the scheme more often means more opportunities to screw up and get downgraded, so if this is happening across the league I could understand why LB grading could've taken a hit lately.
I really excited to see CJ horn finally play
The fact that diggs got into the probowl and not him 😂😂💀
Diggs most definitely deserved a pro bowl over him
@@daveoo7642 absolutely not, diggs gave up the most yards in nfl history by a corner in coverage and was awful in his coverage grade, his picks balanced the scales, all the 12 year olds who have no clue about what can really matter in the football voted for him get outta here with this awful take 😂😂
@@jamesondonnell4054 you think someone who has the most ints in the last 40 yrs not gonna get a spot ? And also he had 5th most votes in the pro bowl but ok and he led league in pbus and 5thin passer rating but yea stay mad and keep dick riding a corner who was 29th ranked against wr1s
@@jamesondonnell4054 he was an extreme liability any coach with experience would expose him with double moves
@@takedownTony6 hmm perhaps you haven’t seen the whole video, 200 yards allowed 😂😂 what a huge liability!!! This man must be benched at once!!!
10:52 anyone else notice the WIDE OPEN corner route jones missed 🤦🏾♂️🤣
As rookie, I thought AJ played really well since our schedule was against a lot of elite receivers. Only issue with AJ is that he has a history of concussions because of bad technique with tackling.
Compare jalen ramsey’s first six years to Richard Sherman’s first six
Can you do a video on zeke vs tony pollard and how the cowboys scheme for each rbs abilities.
The crazy thing is while you were breaking down that Minnesota play thielen was wide open in the end zone
He been putting in work bro that's what happens when you put hard work and time into anything 💯
Been my dude since he was a WR at clemson. Special kid
Wow his stats are crazy. #1 in 5/6 categories. hopefully he gets the recognition he deserves
I tend to try to be as balanced as possible when I hear those crazy stats of only allowing ,"so and so yards in a season". They said they with Asomugha but they also didn't take into account that QBs don't as often throw to their left and he lined up pre snap the left side of the field like 80 percent of the time.
Thats the qbs right side wdym?? its the defensives left but the offensives right Its not just those stats too its a ton of per target stats as well.
@@falcon0886 No I mean the QBs left side. Not the cornerbacks left side.
@@SuperMurray2009 Ok but that statement still isn't entirely true. Its easier for a qb to throw to their most dominate side and since most qbs are right handed It makes many of their #1 targets to the right side. It also really depends on the play call and formation.
@@falcon0886 How would that not make sense? If most QBs are right handed most of their throws are gonna be towards their right. Most QBs( not all) have more trouble throwing towards their left.
@@SuperMurray2009 Yea that was my point
Terrell looks like Marcus Peters with the body type and he wears 24
He also has the worst pass rush in the NFL, the team as a whole only had 18 sacks, TJ Watt had more by himself. He is hands down the best CB in the league and its not close.
That’s the facts but since he’s on the falcons he’ll never get his respect just like what happened to Matty ice
@@elijahmcgeorge5198 Pretty much, Matt Ryan is a HOF QB, no question.
@@vladtepes490 fax upon fax upon fax but still half our fan base hates him
Here to update y'all to let y'all know MT was all in that ass with 2TDs after missing a year and a half of football 😂
Yeah but aj didn't really get beat and Mt wasn't getting open mt just big bodied him
@@shawntaviousbanks9759 which means, he can't guard Mike!!
I knew this guy was good but I didn’t know he was generational!
He also trains with Oliver Davis 🐐
Crazy how everyone called him a bust at pick 16
I was fading my fantasy WRs that faced Terrell in the back half of last season. Some people thought I was crazy, but he allowed like 20 fpts all season?
Marlon Humphrey has been one of the top corners in the league and then had a bad year last season before injury. Can you do a breakdown to see what changed and if it was it the backups around him or just him having a down season.
The week 7 matchup against Ja’Marr Chase should be exciting.
Babe wake up billy stephens posted
I remember telling people .. aj was the best cb taken in that draft “but he got cooked by chase “ yeah every cb did when he was in college .. then he went on to have a ok rookie season & I remember telling my friends it’s more on the defense than him , DQ was running that horrible defense which wasn’t suited for that team , then he went on to have a all pro season .. he had me watching falcons games when I’m not even a fan just for him , wished my team would’ve snagged him ! Top 5 CB in this league & he’s only going into year 3
Walterfootball was high on Terrell as a prospect. His website reported in 2020 that Terrell played with an illness against Burrow and Chase and graded the pick favorably.
he worked hard in the off-season thanks for watching
He wasn’t named 1st Team All-Pro nor did he make the Pro Bowl. How TF does that happen?
I'm impressed by AJ Terrell but I am more impressed by the knowledge and breakdown of the plays by Billy Stephens. Good Job.
Do a video on Justin Herbert
A lot of cornerbacks from him and Trevon needed a year and then broke out in their 2nd year. They both are the best corners to come out that class.
They scared to throw to AJ c'mon man he's way better he is the best actually
@@colbymcelroy1277 nobody is scared to throw to A.j😂
@@colbymcelroy1277 naw but if he another yea fluke last year they will
u should do trey lance 🔥
AJ Terrell putting on for us rn ⚫🔴⚫🔴
Well see his stats after this season
wow.
i cant belive how he only got a 89 for his madden rating when people like christan McCaffery are at the top but they barley even played its just so unfair
He was already good his rookie season he was just new
I would rather a DB allowed 200 yards all season then a DB that allows 1k and has 10 pics.
Good coaches figure out real quick the player’s strengths then scheme to utilize those strengths. Pees is getting these guys to believe in what they’re doing - Terrell is the example.
Should have won comeback player of the year
Terrel island?
Non of if it matter unless he locks up chase and Jefferson
Biggest pro bowl snub
Terrell man coverage vs jmarr looked like he was going easy
He had to feel the league out his first season that’s expected for rookie season most times
One word: scheme
Great video, but Terrell was never the worst CB to begin with especially as bad as the Falcons defense is he's the only bright spot.
Can you explain why the chiefs were able to beat the bills but not the bengals
Bro got my respect. He shut Diggs down last season.
Pro bowl and top 100 snub
Can u plz do a zach wilson video?
Been bragging about him all year at work. Dude was crazy last year. He probably won't have the same numbers, but if he improves them (fucking watch out)
At what point was he the worst enlighten me please
And Cowboys fans: “trEVeon DiggS uS way bETteR thaAn tHiS sCRunB”
Where are all the analysts that gave this pick a D/F, no where
He did not have a bad rookie season?
The thing is we don’t give players time to develop. Not everybody is going to be a star day one
They just don’t like any teams coming out of Atlanta…none ,braves won the World Series last year you don’t see commercials or any announcements to the whitehouse or nothing but that’s ok I hope we win more championships for the city ,falcons ,hawks ,united let’s eat 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
I wouldn't say he was the worst CB his rookie season just definitely had some growing pains
Off topic but I think deion going to have a break out year
all this and he didnt go to the probowl
Im still mad the falcons drafted him. The raiders were 2 spots away from him too :/
Okudah next up
his first year was not disappointing lol
Tarrell the reason i still believe in Okudah
when was he the worst tho
