@@loganradcliffe2338 razer started building products different after 2013. They got cheaper and started breaking more. And honestly, the biggest problem with razer has always been synapse. That shit was bloatware for yeaaars and it's only gotten better recently. They've definitely turned it around a ton this past year though with releases like Razer Viper, Mini, Huntsman kb, Gigantus v2 pad, etc. And hopefully they keep it up because they've been really good and I'd hope people's perceptions start turning around.
Same here. I have a Razer Abyssus, I think. It was the cheapest Razer mouse in my area in June 2012 when I bought it. I was pretty poor back then, but I wanted to see if a gamer mouse is actually worth the 3-6x price tag of a cheapo standard mouse. Almost 9 years later, I am super happy with it. If it dies the next minute, I'm was still very happy. The cheapo mice I mentioned earlier not only were worse in day-to-day use, but would usually last only 1-2 years. So money-wise I fully got the better deal. With a better mouse. And because it's wired, I also spend $0 in batteries, which, over 9 years of use, would have added a bit. It's not/was perfect though. The scroll is not perfect, though weirdly is was worse in the first years, now is pretty ok. Late last year I had to open it for the first time, because the left click wasn't registering normally, I had to push close to the top margin to work, and a bit harder. I guess that some gunk got there, but I'm not sure. The interior was surprinsingly clean, given that I used it almost always in pretty dirty environments. And itself, on the top part (which I don't know of what is composed, seems both plastic and rubber) is quite dirty and I don't know how to properly clean it. Anyway, TL: DR; it's still fully functioning after 8.5 years of literally daily use and no special care to it. I guess one thing going for it that I don't have the habit of smashing the mouse on the desk when I get pawned, but other than that, it was used continously.
3:03: "If you guys have ever used a mouse..." Uh... yeah. At least once.

in most games 8k hz is gonna work very badly because most game engines cant utilize that yet so its gonna be teary and jittery, right now i don't know any game except unreal tournament that works properly with 8k but most games won't work properly, this mouse is more of a future proofing than using it now, or you can just use 1k hz for now and wait for updates

no, you wont notice period. you wont even notice 500 to 1000. if you think you do try a blind test (someone else sets the values you try to see the difference) its like saying you see the difference between 11ms and 12ms. it also doenst have as much todo with high refreshrates monitors as people think. ofc "pro gamer" say its a big difference, thats basically their job - promote sales. the gaming part in pro gamer is to get the credentials so that people listen (or companys sponsoring them thinks they listen) - meanwhile many progamer play with 500hz final mouse lmao

Geez how big is your mousepad?
@@beardeth69 Been doing it a long while, you get used to it.
Bruh I use 400dpi on my ultrawide
@@AGairsoft1 2 inches
You had to lower your sensitivity when you were using the Viper because you usually use a Logitech Hero sensor, which does not report DPI at the same resolution as other mice. Every 8 dots on the Logitech mouse approximates to 9 dots on most other mice, so to get the same sensitivity you have to lower either your dpi or in game sensitivities to ~88% of what you normally use. This is why Shroud and some others when they first moved to the GPW set their dpi to 450 or 900, so that it would feel like the 400/800 they were comfortable with.
What mouse should you get if ur left handed so you need a left or neutral mouse ? budget is not the problem on this one.
My Razer Ouroborus lasts me long actually. I‘ve bought it because (it looked cool and) I could customise it in so many ways. Therefore it was the first mouse that I got to really fit my hand(-s. I was testing wich hand would feel more natural to use for PC stuff and ”gaming“ since I got the chance with this mouse in a new way) The battery Bluetooth mode was not the best though. The rechargeable battery didn’t last very long (for me. I may have gotten a bad battery or my standards were too high) and you did have to carry the dock/cable around for receiving the signal from the mouse. Nevertheless it’s up to now the most perfect fitting/feeling mouse for me. But that’s a highly individual decision. I don’t know why I’m writing this but since I am already here I might as well post it.
me: gets viper mini few months later: viper 8k me: WHAT is the meaning of this
Well if the Viper mini is better sized for you and more comfortable then it's better even with 1000Hz.
That weird feel you got when started playing siege, is that the mouse sends so much data to the game engine, it cannot register everything and queues the inputs, making it kinda like smoothing got applied... You guys should do some research on reddit about it :)
@Relowh it doesn't add delay, as it prioritieses the earliest input, it just slows it down... That's why he had to up his sensitivity in game...
@Relowh 1000hz is widely used in most of the "gamer" mice these days, and it is kind of a nice number, as it is 1ms in response time... 8k hz is 0.125ms and is kind of "too much" for todays standard or even high-end cpus... Newer game engines and potentially updates to existing ones should be an easy and quick fix... It just has to become a thing first, and it will happen overnight :)
@Relowh might help with some fps issues :)
As for David feeling the a difference in sensitivity between 1k and 8k pl dispite having the same settings in dpi and in game, it’s actually the polling rate causing the difference. I’m not sure how the science / math behind it works but I used to play at a 100pl then I switched to 500pl, the sensitivity is different and i had to find the sens equivalent to 100pl but at 500pl
so, what constrains the physics background to the rate for display? your sim can run a lot faster than the display is refreshed

I think it was with logitech or corsair, but I found a 2k hz polling rate mouse and started researching this things. As far as I understood the videos I’ve watched and reviews I’ve read.
