I love the videos from this channel. Whoever makes these does an AMAZING job of really showing the close-ups of the food once its done. You guys can literally make anything look Delicious!!
Sip kawan👍👍
Que ganas de comer esas maravillas.
Although I have questions about what parts he was cooking up, especially that grayish ball looking thing he fried, I think it’s awesome that you pay $100 and you get three separate delicacy dishes using all parts of the giant clam. Amazing and SO delicious looking! OMG I LOVE SEA FOOD! 🥰😁👏😃
i think its the lungs
@@wakdoj looks like some kind of bladder
It’s the adductor muscle. It opens and closes the shell! It’s the most sought after part of the clam and the reason why it’s almost extinct from over fishing.
Could I know how many grams the 100 bucks can get this delicacy giant clam?
@@jimmymars1249 Oh I don’t know how many grams my friend. But i believe he said he bought the clam or you can buy the clam from a fish market for 100 bucks. Not sure if that is the US dollar or something else.
So little meat for how big it is 😭 I love your vids... Always makes me hungry!!!
I absolutely adore these videos and binge watch them when I get the chance. My only request would be for there to be "closed captioning," but it would just be labeling all of the ingredients being used in each dish, because there are times I am like "What the heck IS that?"
No music . that's why I love watching thirsty travel. 😊
This is my favorite sashimi video. I am ready amazed how Giant that clam is and how Humans can just cut it down to pieces.
Truly looks like art.
Please tell me you got to keep the shell! That would be a sick souvenir!
Noah Lau I was thinking that to
I’m sure that did. I’m sure that dish was very $$$
You see the big bumps? Those are legit pearls the costumers should keep it too as a souvenir. Lmao
@@Impopeye super pricey actually
Of course you get to keep it it's yours, you paid for it 😉
Doesn't it feel weird when you order a huge clam and only get 10%of the meat
SHERMAINE NG 😂😂😂😂
SHERMAINE NG Go ahead and eat the faecal matter if you want, but I wouldn't want to.
@@haldouglas4773 he didn't mean eat shit dumb ass. He's basically saying that's like killing a cow for just for 1 T-bone steak
@@xXskellingtonXP yes I agree with you. A T-bone steak is literally 10% of a cow's meat. What a waste of food.
That's clam for you
When I was in college as a starving student,I once tasted fresh scallops from a sushi chef. He served it with a bit of lemon. I was shocked. It was like candy from the sea and melted in my mouth. It was the only time in my life I ever had fresh seafood like that.
Starving student affords fresh scallops and Sushi...contradictory
OMGAWD WHAT A HUGE CLAM, THE DISHES LOOK SOOOOOOOOO DELICIOUS. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL PRESENTATION.
"Sir, what part of the clam is this?" Chef: I'd have to say...... thats his elbow....
_Good for keep the yang up._

This comment made my day, thank you very much!!.
For $100 you better be keeeping the shell if you get that much meat
Epi Start er American way of thinking I’m sure they do get the shell. But in America you overeat .... everything is super sized smh Hence why America is that most obese and the most fat country in the world...
II Profound II Don't know why americans and obesity came up since this is about the shell and I don't know if you're saying I'm American but the least I just want to say is that I'm not American
II Profound II You’re pretty ignorant for jumping to conclusions that he is American lol Don’t expect a whole ass nation to have the same greedy mentality
Not every American is obese lol.. we're not even top 10 anymore
My exact thought. I'd look this being more about the value of the experience than about the meal I guess.
I love their culture and their culinary practices and dishes. This was so fascinating!
That looks so delicious!!

In my country (Indonesia) it's already been protected by the government. I'm pretty sure it's the same kind of shellfish but here we call it "kima". It's pretty cool seeing other countries cook them.i wonder what it tastes like..
I bet this tastes amazing! Very fresh!!!!
Yes, I am looking for something with the consistency of a loogie. Vendor: Say no more.
That proper made me laugh 😂😂
I looked up a bit on these. Many places farm these. It can take 10 years for one to be large enough to be safe in a reef ( too big to be eaten) they can live 100 years... Wow amazing
This look so delicious omg 😋
Wow.. if it's an expert who cooks it will taste delicious
Clam: giant Algae: it's free real estate
Looks tasty. I love seafood
I love watching these type of videos. I can't in my life eat this. It's amazing to watch though.
I am so amazed by the size of this clam also surprisingly that only a few part of meat can be eaten raw and the rest must be cooked.
The little ecosystem on its shell is so cute. I'd love to take the shell home.
If I paid for & ate it I'd want the shell.
Same
I wanna try it too looks kinda tasty
I was raised in the northeast of the US and have been eating raw clams and oysters all my life. Rather popular there. Raw seafood is not just a Japanese thing, although nobody does it better than they do.
I think people who think that way never live near sea. I'm not in Japan but I eat seafood all my life. I think it's common thing since it's easier to get clamps and seafood compare to poultry meat.
my dad always talked about how he ate raw clams growing up... but we live in Pennsylvania which is too much mountain for clams but we eat a lot of fish like bass and trout (i think)... though we dont eat as much fish anymore because its hard for him to go out to find a fishing spot
KZhead is full of keyboard warrior. Those people who comment shit probably spent their life eating fast food and the most exotic food they have ever had was probably chicken nugget.
Ohio has a good variety of “sea”food but I prefer the saltiness of ocean seafood. Kinda sad tbh
How does such a clam taste? Never tried.
Poor cloyster, 😓 You were my favorite pokemon😔

Sum up of the comments: WeE pOoR cLaM wEeEe 80% Looks tasty 10% CAN I KEEP THE SHELL!? 10% Edit: some peeps say that it’s such a huge animal but not much meat what a waste, THE SHELL IS NOT AN ANIMAL BUFOONS.
I agree completely with your comment
i'm part of the 10%
Yeah I was thinking can I keep the shell also it's awesome .
I was the 10% in 'looks tasty'
The "waisted" stuff is the organs that I believe aren't safe to eat
For a moment I thought you were going to eat the scraps outside the shell hahaha
Did you keep the shell? I think it's so beautiful, I would have taken it home
Looks delicious.! How was it?
Hermoso animal, podría ser de más de 100 años , eliminado por un lujo y capricho humano :(
no comas, tampoco coma vegetales porque vienen de seres vivos...

Pues Pobre Animal si Ya vivío demasiado tiempo de Ser comido

$100 to cut it up? Hell, i could have done that.

Japan is always a good source of "I didn't know you could eat those."
Anything's food if you're hungry and desperate enough.
I watch this video when I was nine years old but now I am 12 It’s a coincidence that I came to this video again.
I'm in GA I would love to come there
It's amazing how he knows exactly what to cut and keep.
Mad props to the first person that saw the big clam and said "imma eat that"
For the last dish does anyone know what those different sauces and veggies were ? Like the bed of veggies what was that?
I’m moving to Japan.
Ummmmmmmyyyy!!! I’d travel for this!! Chopsticks are great, although, have you ever seen a farmer using pool cues? This is the best street meat ever. Respect!
Ummy 🤣😂
thanks for nice video!

15:45 Here you go sir. Two boiled globs of clam as ordered.
I still don't know what that part is. Someone said it was it's balls, and that's believable but I can't say it was a reliable source of info
Not boiled , served sashimi
Très belle vidéo qui va à l'essentiel... merci bcp pour ce partage...
I saw so much of them in sharm el sheik!
This channel always makes me so hungry 😑
Go order some food, jeez. Then this video will not look that tasty anymore.
We need to hybridyze cold water clams so they can get this big.
I would love to get that shell😍😍😍😍😍
非常に美しい!!!しかし、それは本当に大きいので、とても高価です😭
That one is definitely huge I would keep the shell from it And the small one two. 🐚🐚 I like my sea food cooked.

Its also in the list of endangered spicies ..
yes, those poor endangered "spicies"...
That would make a giant pot of clam chowder
Looks delicious
Amazing!!
I'm suprised to not find a single comment talking about that fish at 0:28 floating upside down.
I saw it too 😂
I thought by the end of the video with the way the filmer was shaking while eating he was going to start seizing from food poisoning haha
Had to go back. Holy shit
😭😭😭
it was not upside down, Just Looks that way . you can see its fins flapping or what ever fins do
They make everything taste good
17:40 his cutting skills are amazingly thin!!!
Yeah people who master in sea food are usually quite good with Thier knife skills!
Lol It looks like art and they killed it 😂
so cool, he got his own own garden !
Omg, It was so beautiful ;-;
i miss eating this. this actually tastes really good if you make it into salad or we call it "kinilaw". this is more common in provincial area. it can get expensive in the city

0:28 there is a dead fish in the tank
Bruh moment
Lol it looks dead for a second, but it wiggles its fins right at the end
It’s on the verge of dying, when fish usually belly up it means it is sick and gonna die soon.
its not dead its just pining for the fjords
Interested in whats done with the shell. Im a collecter and would love to buy a few
Clams are excellent filter feeders. They draw water into their bodies, filter out microscopic particles, algae, and organic matter, and release clean water back into the environment. This process helps to maintain water clarity, remove excess nutrients, and improve water quality.
Sadly that also means they probably consume much micro plastic these days :/
I was expecting for a pearl from that clam
