Great comparison. I actually expected to see a much bigger difference in motion handling but honestly they look so similar that unless you're an UBER gamer I doubt you'll be able to really tell. The OLED still looks better to me though with that great contrast.

this is exactly what i saw. the motion blur is ever so slight better on the oled but i thought the difference was gunna be more drastic. Fortnite does not support hdr and when i mirrored the image. it disabled HDR for both monitors. When gaming in HDR, the oled does look amazing though, but so does the QLED. if the game were to be a dark pitch black game with shades of grey and black, then the oled stands out. otherwise its pretty similiar

Yeah mini led brightness obviously still king. But hard to tell in this video but im sure the aw is more crisp with glossy panel

I haven't AW, but have lg c2 and neo g8 is great, but this agressive matte finish ruin depth of the colors too much. Although neo g8 looks with super vivid colours. So, for sure AW is better for the coating

Is there a significant difference in brightness? I’m really considering both of these monitors I have an LG 32GQ950 which is 4k 160 hz I just don’t know which one to buy. I seen that the G8 has scan line issues.

It would be a gigantic upgrade. I have the NEO G8 and the scanlines and coating used on that panel is awful. Any OLED would be superior. I am waiting for the Asus 4k 240hz that can flip the switch and do 1080p 480hz . But NEO g8 has only one great thing about it and that is low input lag

Hey just letting you know, the AW3225QF is a QD-OLED. Both monitors are quantum dot displays. The Alienware is just both quantum dot an OLED technology put together in one.

if its a bright game i prefer the samsung. if its a dark game with lots of dark colors and shadows the alienware looks best

There's a Acer Predator OLED 32" 4k for $950 I would rather buy that than the Neo G8 personally. Because the response time is lower and the colors are more vivid but if all you care about is brightness then go with the samsung

read your other comment and saw you went back to a 1440p ultrawide and wanted to ask, do you see any obvious visual detail between 1440p and 4k? im really torn thinking about a upgrade. i currently have a asus tuf gaming 1440p 144hz va monitor and was looking into mini led and oled displays with 240 hz and can't come to a conclusion between 2k and 4k.

the samsung QLED hurts my eyes especially when reading text against a white background like the bestbuy website or a excel sheet. The QLED tires my eyes out after an hour of gaming while the OLED i can game all day and my eyes dont get tired. the QLED is brighter, the OLED has brighter more vivid colors and sharper details. getting rid of both of them though and going back to the 45 LG Rog OLED (3440x1440) going back because its more immersive, its like playing in VR

The Samsung Neo G7/G8 are much better than the Alienware OLED monitors.. I returned mine at my local Best Buy the same day of purchase.. I got the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 32-Inch 4k 165hz QLED and haven't looked back! Samsung QLED is the best monitor out there hands down.. Just being honest and trying to help save people the trouble of wasting their hard earned money and time..Hope this helps.. Btw, i don't have no scanlines on my Neo G7. Absolute flawless and couldn't be happier with my purchase.. Only other display that is better in my opinion would be the LG C2/C3 but those are TVS and are 42 inches and can only do 120hz.. I will say that the Samsung Neos get very close to the LG C2/C3 WOLEDS though.

IPS just looks like it has a haze or fog over the image. It's brighter but once you see the contrast benefit of OLED I'd imagine you won't want to go back to an LED based display.

i got rid of the monitor. i chose to go with the LG 45" oled monitor. I've been using the 45" since early December and im in love with it, even if the text fringing is bad on the 45".... its way more immersive for gaming without feeling narrow like the 49" ultrawides
