    • Great. Thanks. I always feel like I could go into more detail but at some point the videos start getting pretty long. It always feels like there is more to say about any topic on blacksmithing.

  • I'm thinking of trying to make hunting kinfe for family and friends. But anvil are high price were i live . I seen one with the horn broke off and they want 400 dollars for it and a mouse hole one for 1200 dollars but the hard plate is in bad shape. Been looking for a hunk of steel but if i like it i will get a anvil. Thank for the video

    • Sounds like those are both worth passing on. Cheapest anvils I've seen with reasonable reviews are the Acciaio anvils. Roy over at @ChristCenteredIronworks has some reviews. kzhead.info/sun/i7OLeaiyqKOZaZ8/bejne.html They are like 160ish in the US. Just make sure it's either Cast Steel or Cast Ductile Iron.
