    • @@justanotherhuman1865 Funny thing is, it's you who has the ultra simplistic view right now: He was being manipulated by people, so he is allowed to destroy a child's life? For sure, the guy has been manipulated. That has nothing to do with the child who he raised for 15 years, and who he should see as his own daughter. This is where a level of emotional maturity and nuance comes into play, which you're not displaying much of. When did the girl stop being his daughter? When they found out they were biologically related? He raised her. He watched her grow. He loves her. And in a fit of rage he decided to go scorched earth and cut everything and everyone out, and shred the daughter's well-being and future to pieces. So yes, I stand by what I said. The guy is a massive twat.

  • theres another update to this. when the daughter was about to get married, they called OPs ex wife over. but she was catatonic throughout the wedding and only responded to when OP asked her something but for the rest of the time, she basically was on auto pilot. thats when OPs second wife got an idea, that his ex wife needed therapy. they decided to move her to Idaho from New York and start her on counselling and thats when it came out that she was probably sexually assaulted by OPs cousin and that the event was so traumatic for her, she decided to basically convince herself that she cheated on OP and basically buried the fact that she was raped by the cousin. OP has a nervous breakdown when he got this news. they finally decided that she needed a lot more therapy to come to terms with what happened but OPs ex wife continued to say that OP would be her husband till the day she died and she would Never be with anyone again.

So I’m guessing she did invite the cousin to the house and he eventually forced himself on her but she froze not knowing what to do, or the cousin and her decided it was a good idea for him to stay in order to take care of her and he decided to do the deed while she was asleep and she woke up and pushed him off after realising what he was doing

  • There's 2 more updates to this story that the video missed: I remember watching this same story a few months or years back. The video here actually missed 2 updates after the 4th. Mary does actually get mentioned more in the story and she actually goes into therapy after the father in law passes away. It's explained that her mind is stuck in a moment where she was at her most happiness, and that there's a high likelyhood that she was actually SA'd by the cousin but her mind feigned it as a moment of weakness as a way of protecting herself, later on it's revealed that high likelyhood was a definite happening as the therapist finally has Mary explain everything that happened that night, turns out that she fought the cousin and demanded no twice but he kept going, after wards she froze up and after he finished she rolled to her side and repeatedly said "it was a mistake" over and over again. OP goes back through his memories if he could see signs of this and he states that he did, both Mary and the cousin where *NEVER ONCE* in the same room together in his memory. After this revelation Roberto was actually gonna go kick the cousin's ass but OP talked him down. Cousin returns and crashes the father in law's funeral drunk and says that he was the reason for OP's success in a way before getting beaten by Luna and then knocked out by Joslin. After this OP and Mary start the mend their relationship and geniunelly tries to get her to move on. There's also a lot more that happens, I know Mary moves to Idaho to be next to OP, and slowly Joslin and Mary get closer and closer and there's whole family drama and stuff, but that's the biggest parts of the next two updates. The sixth update actually has a complete turn around for the cousin. Ex boyfriend of Joslin comes back and causes trouble but that's a whole seperate story. However the cousin actually ends up getting Leukimia and ends up in a terrible state, his pregnant fiance comes to Idaho to ask for a bone marrow transplant but is unsuccessful. Op gets 3 letters from the cousin, 2 of which he burns. He reads the last one expecting the cousin to beg for mercy but it's a confession of everything and an explaination. The cousin actually adored OP as a kid but was also mad at OP because of his gang life and the pain he brought to their grand mother, and how hypocritical OP was talking about the cousin going to school and getting a good life when he himself was part of a gang. As the Cousin grew older he slowly saw OP get a better life and thought to himself how much OP didn't deserve this life, him marrying Mary was the final straw and he did what he did out of "penance". Over time however he began to see the error of his ways and even saw how much damage he did to the love of his life Mary and how much damage he did to OP, and how regretful he became. He ends the letter off by saying that even if his Fiance comes over and that he knows both him and Luna may be a match for Bone marrow transfusion, that to not go through with it as he sees Leukimia and his demise as his payment for the pain he caused OP and Mary and that he truly is sorry. OP goes to pastor to talk about his problems and he gets compared to the story of Job and it ends off with the OP saying he's currently in the cancer room ready to get tested hinting he may go against his cousins wishes and give the cousin a bone marrow transfusion. For any of you curious the actual reddit post is named "It's been four years and I thought I was past it, but after this Memorial day, I'm not and I need advice." I couldn't find the last 2 updates on the reddit post maybe they're there but there're multiple sources pointing towards their existence and they are extremely consistent so for now I'll assume I missed them. Great read though. There's A LOT more in the updates and even with what I did present with Mary and the cousin I did paraphrase and cut out a lot. I think Mary actually does move on and ends up dating Joslin's brother, and Roberto ends up beating the snot out of Joslin's ex boyfriend and his friend. Highly suggest you find the next updates they were a great read.

Apparently Mary did find someone so good for her tho.

    • @@breadogi7118 I mean it's all one big cruel joke, had the cousin been just a bit kinder perhaps op would've read his earlier letters and gotten the transfusion in time. Perhaps things would've been different, he made his bed and was gonna sleep in it. At least he found some peace at the end, he paid for his prices and op did end up forgiving him and moving on while at least giving him the comfort of reconnection and not dying alone. Even if it's just one person that one person made a world of a difference and I think that's good.

Poor Dad let his anger take over and let it spill over and punished the child that wasn't responsible for any if it. At least it ended well-ish. A lot of broken hearts because of jealousy.

    • @@puppylove6128I would say that, but manipulation is one hell of a thing. Especially when performed on a younger mind. At that young age, all that the cousin had to do was plant a seed, and it bloomed into a tree of hatred and despair. A poisoned mind is not cured so easily, especially if it’s poisoned by someone “respectable” since his cousin was a pastor at the time it made him seem more trustworthy. It’s pretty much the next best thing to mind control. A skilled manipulator can use words and twisted facts to his advantage. All you have to do is give them a string no matter how thin and they will weave it into something terrible. Idk if that makes sense, but I think when you realize just how bad manipulation can get, it helps us empathize/sympathize with the child more. Because after all they are only 13 and the brain doesn’t really develop until 25ish. But anyway I hope that made sense and have a great day

    • This happened to me when my ex-husband went to jail. I became a literal piece of meat target for his garbage ass friends. I was sexually assaulted by one when I entrusted one with my key to my apartment (I honestly trusted him-he spent months building trust and being my friend) and woke up to him having sex with me. I freaked out but he was a huge guy and I couldn’t push him off of me ☹️. When my ex husband got out of jail, I told him what happened and, while he believed me, none of the other guys in that circle took it seriously so I still saw him around all the time. And another guy, who was my ex-husband’s supplier (he was a dealer…I am no longer in “the life” for what it’s worth), tried repeatedly to get me to trade drugs for sexual favors because he knew I didn’t have money. This man was my ex-husband’s BEST FRIEND!!! So, I hate to say it but I tend to believe that Mary was pressured into sleeping with the cousin at the very least, if not straight up assaulted. In that lifestyle, it is just something that is very normalized.

There's already dozens of cases where men were told "Nope, you've been raising this kid who isn't biologically yours for years and your name is on the birth certificate, it doesn't matter if a DNA test says they aren't your kid." And the mother not putting up more of a fight in court? The dude not getting arrested for assaulting the cousin multiple times? Right. Sure. Definitely something that 100% happened.
